- In this video you can enjoy the cab ride - train driver's view on Slovenia's Railways between Ljubljana and Maribor, Inter City line on the famous tilting train Pendolino in 4K/60 frames per second.
The ICS is an express service with only three stops at the important railway junction at Zidani Most, the city of Celje and the town of Pragersko.
The 155.6 km long, double-track section Ljubljana-Maribor is part of the old "Southern Railway" line built between 1846 and 1849 to link Vienna and Trieste. The whole track is a part of Corridor V of the Transeuropean Transport Network (RTE-T) going from Lyon to Kiev via Venice, Slovenia, Budapest and Lvov in Ukraine.
The Ljubljana-Zidani Most section is also a part of another RTE-T axis, Corridor X, which links Salzburg and Thessaloniki via Slovenia, Zagreb, Belgrade and Sofia. The Zidani Most-Maribor section, meanwhile, is a branch of Corridor X connecting to Graz in Austria.
Although it represents barely 12% of the national railway network (1,255 km), the Ljubljana-Maribor line is a very important axis for Slovenian Railways. It links three of the most important towns in the country (Ljubljana, the capital, Celje and Maribor, the principal town in the region of Štajerska) and accounts for 45% of passenger traffic and 31% of goods traffic in Slovenia.

@@RailRelaxation To ni problem. Živim v Falkenbergu / Elstru. To se nahaja v Nemčiji, natančneje v južnem Brandenburgu. Čeprav je mesto zelo majhno, ima 2 veliki železniški postaji. V dneh NDR je na železnici delalo 2000 ljudi. V Falkenbergu se križajo tri železniške proge. Mimogrede, delam tudi za Deutsche Bahn. Ustreza poklicu in hobiju skupaj. Še posebej so mi všeč video posnetki hrvaških in slovenskih železnic. Veselim se še več vaših videoposnetkov

When I discovered David Sousa's channel, I still didn't know what beauties were hidden inside. I reward the accuracy and details with which he makes the videos, the contents, the 4K vision of breathtaking landscapes, in Spain, Brazil and Austria but above all in Slovenia, his adopted country. I think he is one of the best RUclipsrs here on RUclips who does cabrides, explaining everything to us in a simple and complete way at the same time. What about the line. The Ljubljana Maribor line is part of the route of the Southern Railway built by the Austrians, then replaced on the journey to Trieste by the Rudolphsbahn which runs along the Mur valley, on the Bruck an der Mur - Klagenfurt - Udine-Trieste route. Beautiful line! Compared to last year's video, I noticed that on the route from Zidani Most to Maribor the stations have all been modernized, as well as the route appears straighter. The most difficult part appears to be the one from Litija to Zidani Most in the narrow Sava valley, a journey I took by car from Ljubljana to Celje. Beautiful Areas. Congratulations David again and we hope to see more new videos. Maybe the route from Maribor to Klagenfurt along the DRAVA valley.

I now watch because of the great views forward, but sure would like to see some foul weather videos. I am sure it is not always sunny and bright in Slovenia. I know North Macedonia gets quite stormy in the spring, and I loved sitting at the hotel patios while a blustery rain and sleet storm passed. Please David, show us a less than perfect day. Phil

That was an interesting ride. It needs to have a decent quality tilting train because the line has a lot of curves when it goes though the mountains.

Eine sehr interessante Fahrt von Laibach nach Marburg an der Drau, heute die Verlängerung der österreichischen Südbahn von Wien über den Semmering nach Triest und zu Zeiten der k.u.k.-österreichisch-ungarischen Monarchie ein Teil derselben. Fügt sich sehr gut an die Rail Relaxation-Videos von Wien nach Graz und von Graz nach Marburg an. -
A very interesting journey from Laibach to Marburg an der Drau, today the extension of the Austrian Southern Railway from Vienna over the Semmering to Triest and part of it during the times of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Fits in very well with the Rail Relaxation videos from Vienna to Graz and from Graz to Marburg.
Next time, let's stick to the Slovenian names for places in Slovenia. It's not just about geography, it's about respecting and acknowledging the local culture and identity. Danke schön, and srečno pot!

@jeannoelrenaudin2 It is not the same video, it is the same route, but in this one year there was lots of work done on the line. I posted filmed it again to be able to compare and see the differences.
I clocked 163km/h highest speed. Am i right? Didn't know it goes to that speed anywhere on the route...
@Venividivici55555 Yes, you are right. there are short sections of the line where the speed is 160 km/h. This small difference is because the shown data is GPS based and it is not always accurate.
