Andy is one of the best modeling presenters I have ever listened to. Unfortunately he seems to prefer to do these highlight type videos. I would prefer to see a complete project from end to end so I can learn the workflow for a complete project.
That's cool and thanks for showing it. but what if I need things to be more "precise" ? I don't mean like a CAD software I mean things like having a ruler tool staying in multiple places so I'm always aware of the distances, is that possible? another thing I would really need is to have a ruler as a child of the mesh so If I scale the mesh on the Y axis I can easily see if I'm getting to the correct distance, does modo in any way try to help being precise? Is any of this in modo? even tho I'm working in games I need to have everything on the right scale.
+brutecold Hi. In MODO you have 3 option in VIEW section. Dimension - it's showing you sizes of your object(objects, vertex, edge, polygon or what you want to see). Protractor - that shows you the angle. And Ruler - it's showing you distance(objects, vertex, edge, polygon or what you want to see).
I would like to learn this soft a lot of improvement has been made compair to the traditional 3d soft but alot of company in the video game industry is using max and maya dso re learning a soft would be a big pain =/ . butt this software is just sick ! keep it up guys ! :)
Brilliant video , can we have some more! Fall offs are so powerful, did not know about them.
This is one of the best presentations I've seen on using Modo (Poly-Modeling) for Auto Design. Great Job!
+carstylus thanks for the feedback!
This guy is a good instructor wish he had full length modo tutorials .
he does, i got one tutorial by him on SubD modeling. PM me if you want it
@@Suppboio hey do u still have the tutorial?
@@saranga2513 yes. Any form of contacting you other than youtube comments?
@@Suppboio yes you can add me on discord !WaduHek!#3289 or mail @saranga.buragohain.27@gmail.com
Modo for life !!
best software out there .
8 + years using it :)

been trying to model a datsun 510, i cant get past the left front fender, i mess up and start again over and over
What have you done Foundry. Modo died with Andy's goodbye. Andy was true and only face of Modo.
Excellent! Andy, you're the best MODO presenter ever!
I had no idea falloffs can be used in conjunction with edge weights - this is pretty amazing!

Where is Andrew Brown in Foundry’s Modo? I miss him and Brad Peebler.
Brilliant... I'll take it!! Oh wait I already own Modo 901. :) Go, Andy, go!
0:51 how do you do that surface evaluation shader thing
What kind of difference skilld other program does it have ?
great !! how to add imagem for reference ??
Nice video! But I hope that the foundry will produce more tutorials on MODO ;)
This is literally why I stopped using it after the demo. Tutorials were hard to come by and the question-answering community was small.
:) really nice overview, there any way to get the EngPackage preset?
hi at 8:11 Can export igs?

+ReDFragg3r thank you :) It'll only get better for MODO!
:D
How do I export the curves of the model as a set of Bezier curves?
2:58 is there a shortcut to switch from perspective to orthographic?
All promo no tutorials, no community, tons of crashes recipe for a dying package!
Impressive tools for modeling...
And I'm a Softimage user so I'm not easily impressed :P
Time to change from Rhino
