@@maxenswel2268 you could see in some parts the animation was fully rendered tho. it was all choppy and unsmooth and a storyboard is a good idea of what the fan movie was likely to be - a bunch of recycled jokes and traced art from actual eddsworld animations. the voice acting is also atrocious lmfao

That's Marc Lovallo I think, it was meant to be a temp voice, I think he did go on to play Matt in the second half of this animatic and Matt was recasted by Jon and Pip to be voiced by Marc later on

why are ppl trashing this?? it’s FANMADE not professional, it’s not everyday someone puts effort into a movie using voice actors with a full script and storyboard.
Not to mention that it isn’t complete or animated. I’m honestly impressed that they made it this far with making a movie.
ikr like professional movie scripts are constantly revised and rewritten by experienced people who have done it for years, smaller teams like this doesnt have the time or resources like they do. like bruh what dont they understand

honestly i think this is just fine. sure its built like a wattpad story and theres no bg music and matt only sounds like himself for 2 lines
but its fine
as an artist i can tell a LOT of work was put into this
the plot could be better but overall i give it a 6/10
not bad by any means but it could have been better if the script and animation had time to be finished
some scenes are better than others and it feels like the jokes are just recycled eddsworld jokes

Well sometimes reusing actual jokes of the real show can be funny
the pacing felt weird, scenes felt like they went on for too long, and it kinda felt a bit devoid of any usual jokes, and even if there were any, half of them were just reused from the original eddsworld

This really isn't as horrible as everyone keeps saying it is. I was pretty invested in the story once it started actually getting somewhere.

Honestly, now that I’ve seen the full animatic I gotta say- this movie’s just not very good. On a visual level, it has a lot of charm, and really captures that classic Eddsworld feel.
But oh man I really don’t like the story they went for here. The villain here is just... not super interesting in my opinion, and I don’t know why they made those weird aliens from Space Face a central part of the story, out of anything else they could’ve pulled from the show. And the pacing is just so sluggish, especially in the beginning. Most of its jokes just feel like retreads from the original series.
Plus it’s just weird seeing them address continuity bits from Legacy and The End, but still have the crew in their old house, and Jon still be alive.
Idk, I’m sure a lot of work went into this, but part of me’s kind of glad this movie never got finished. I’m still holding out for hope that we’ll get an official Eddsworld movie sometime in the future.
That said I feel like I’m undervaluing the visual quality in this comment. The movie looks absolutely fantastic in the few fully animated segments we get. It looks like classic Eddsworld at its best, but a lot more fluid and expressive.
But yeah, I think the story needed a few more drafts in my opinion

This movie passes on the before the end timeline
and this video is only the act 1, that means, this is not the full movie this is only the first part of the full movie
so don't say that this movie is bad because
this movie was supposed to launch before the end epsode

Honestly I'm glad it got cancelled as soon as it did. It wasn't that good in a lot of peoples opinion (not particularly the comment section), and if the kept going they'd just be wasting their time for a negative review.

how didnt i saw this earlier?! this is really good, the visuals, the audio, the voice action, i love it!! i just dont like that they reused jokes from eddsworld, but it isnt that bad. i love how 'in character' everyone is, even the new ones are good! the voices fit well, matt's a little off but it actually sounds like him from time to time.
i also liked the joke about hellucard(i think) saying 'no one caring', it made laugh i admit.
i dont know if this is going to continue or something, but i really enjoyed it. specially the general and paul's scenes, they were pretty funny!! people may not like it but i do, its a great job for being fanmade.

the writing is awful, the plot is even worse, the thing is filled with reused puns that aren't funny, they disrespected Paul's (the irl) whises to not be in eddsworld anymore, this "movie" (i can't even give it the title of a movie, even the movies made by vide brinquedo would deserve the title of movie, but this thing doesn't) doesn't feel nothing like eddsworld feels like, you can smell the homophobia trought the screen and in general everything is awful, this is worse than most of fanfictions in wattpad nowadays.
It’s kinda weird they made homophobic jokes but also give us hints that Eyebrows man(I don’t want to use his name since he doesn’t want anything to do with the show anymore) has been in love with Edd since the first time they met(No one would willingly sacrifices their life for someone they just met for like two hours)

Honestly the movie isn't that bad
Considering its a storyboard it makes sense why there was hardly any bg music or sf
And the scene's could have been a little less bland
The ending might not have been finished when the storyboard was produced but that could have been a little better
The costumes at the end were nice but Honestly they could have just shown them with normal outfits and some war accessories and it still would've been fine (ex: tom with a ripped hoodie and wounds from the end + the harpoon pack being carried on his back)
I think the final fight could have some interesting concepts such as Tom's Demon or tord coming back with the repaired robot or really anything like that but that'd have to really be about 30+ minutes so we could get character development interesting battles and juicy lore but that's only a theory
Overalls this film is alright and I'd rate it a 4.5/10

Y'know, what if instead someone animated the Beginning and the FriEND, calling it the official Eddsworld fan movie (it is a fan comic that's been enjoyed by most Eddsworlds fans and tells the story of the gang's future selves). I've only seen an animated recap of it but since this fan movie was seen as a flop, it could be a pretty solid animated fan movie. It's just a thought though since it could be argued the fan comic should just stay a comic and the fact this would take quite a lot of people, time and effort.

They made a rape joke that involved Edd and a harem of anime girls (which is bad but like the least worst thing they've done smh), they kicked anyone from their discord server and even threatened a lot of individuals (a lot of them being shippers).
Like, that totally goes against Matt's wishes considering that he and Tom cut ties with the characters they were based off of and Matt was okay with shipping so long as it was ONLY the characters.

IM LITERALLY SCREAMING OH MY GOD- I’m sad that there not gonna finish it- I thought it had a pretty good plot onistly, yes it was a little dry at the start but it actually ended up being ok. This story really had/has potential maybe one day will see it to completion. Also “maybe he misses tord as much as we do” that hit hard for some reason, and seeing tord defend matt from Tom. Also the flying car scene was lovely. I hope that the sos plan if this is ever finished possibly has to do with Patrick and/or tord. Just a reminder the characters are different from the people everyone :)

Man, I honestly really like this movie, the audio and frame switch timing isn't very good in most parts (Though I love the part where Paul just goes "Boo." to Jon and Mark), and the reused jokes are..Okay, but what I like most of all is the main plot, war is about to happen and it's all only up to Edd, Matt, and Tom to stop it, I think it's very good. And I do hope there will be a part two or something in the future.

honestly the beginning was the best part, everything else was mediocre and didn't really make sense, there is good potential but a lot needs to be worked on in terms of timing and the things
that happen and the way certain characters choose to react to their situation. Tom's voice is spot on and imo should've been the voice Eddsworld use after Tomska quit voicing Tom. He just
ticks off nearly all the boxes.

As static and mundane as this is, I still like certain moments from this alot
I like the chosen voice actors for edd and tom, toms va here should be the official one tbh. Some voices have something to them which is incredibly hard to recreate in impressions, and tomskas voice is one of those, but this voice actor copies that surprisingly well. I dont like Matt's vocal recreation, but Edd's is just amazing how similar the va sounds like him. I initially thought they took voice clips straight from eddsworld ggen 1
edit coming back to that scene, the only part ive seen, its so slow paced and theres no energy or thought behind the characters, its so bland. It's putting me to sleep

This is terrible. The writing is slow and strangely written, there are callbacks to The End, but they’re still in the original house and Jon is still alive? The amount of re-used jokes are overwhelming, and the original jokes aren’t funny, in fact, the entire story is one big callback to Space Face. The voice acting is atrocious and unrealistic, Matt doesn’t even sound like… well, Matt, and threatening characters sound more goofy than scary.

from a standpoint this movie would've been amazing if it got finished. even with just the movie itself its still good. all it needs is some background music and it would've been 10x better.
this was the best fan made eddsworld movie i ever saw, so almost everyone in the comments are being so rude and ungrateful so just appreciate they made this, because it probably took them a long time so just appreciate it.🙁
