  • Welcome back to the channel.
    This is a very long video. But within it, I think this could help a lot of people with the pure logic of what might go into the mind of a person building a PC.
    This particular project didn't need much hardware or horse power for me to function this for it's rooted tasks which is to run fightcade but within the video you'll see that it can run Street Fighter 6 with little to no issues.

    Very thankful for the content. I'm new to this hobby, and most people on arcade forums assume a degree of knowledge above novice level, and there seems to be a general dismissiveness toward newbs who aren't great with hardware (totally identified with the thermal paste story). I've asked dozens of questions and been answered in tech jargon that required dozens more questions to try to unpack, and the answers are never clear for laymen.
    Your videos are clear and digestible and have been invaluable in helping me learn this stuff.
    Thanks for being such a good teacher.

    I would say, if someone is looking into getting into computer building, one quick way is to look for video guides. There are tech youtube channels that every so often post tutorials from explaining the parts you'll need and how to choose them, to actually putting it together and installing and setting up windows.

    5:00 I can relate to that. I built my first PC around 2015 as well. I remember being nervous about it, but taking my time. Got it all together, felt pretty proud, and then I went to boot....NOTHING. No video, no boot sequence, nada. I took it a part and put it back and still nothing.
    I was defeated and I didn't want this thing just sitting there so I looked for a repair shop near me and there was one like 5 min walk from me. So I took it there and told the guy it was my first build and I feel like I did something wrong. He looked it over for maybe 20 secs and said "Ahhhhhh.." and I'm like "What is it? Don't tell me it's something simple" and it turns out I had the power cable seated incorrectly. Now he didn't laugh, which was cool, but I still felt pretty embarrassed about it because I could have sworn I checked everything. Dude took his time and educated me on it and from then on I said "Fuck this. I'm going to get more knowledge on this".
    3 years later built another PC. Got no POST, but was able to troubleshoot it and got POST later. Felt good.

    If you want to learn about computers the best way is to buy or build your own and mess around with it.
    I've worked in IT in Michigan since 2004. Something always goes wrong and when you figure out how to fix it
    that's the best way to learn vs a classroom setting.

    Do you only use steam? I planing a build a pc for my arcade and I currently bought a 2tb taito from alixespress so I can play any game, but also I woul like to play in steam, any advice?

    • @AllAboutTKK
      @AllAboutTKK  Год назад

      Steam is the platform for modern fighters. It is essential if you’re pc gaming.
      For the old school stuff, try fightcade. Perfect rom and emulation with online play, all free.
      The drive you got is okay, I actually own a couple of Taito machines both the X3 and X4, and I have the multiple that is designed for them.
      Lastly, check out a video I did like a month ago. It’s of an arcade drive “Home Arcade System” review. 14TB of pretty much everything.

    Whats up TKK! I gotta a question maybe u can help or anyone out there can help with. I want to get a pre-built gaming PC for my son for Xmas this year. And going to check during sales this upcoming week. My question to u sir is, what are the main quality components I should be looking for that come with the build? I don't have the funds to go all out and build from the ground up but would like a quality start to upgrade down the line. 4k/60 at high to ultra is the goal, but totally fine w/just high texture settings as well. Thank u in advance🙏

    • @AllAboutTKK
      @AllAboutTKK  Год назад +1

      Yessir and thanks for even asking the question.
      You’d want a prebuild that will cost you around $2000 plus to achieve that.
      The graphics card is the most important thing for pushing frames. So anything RTX 3080TI or above.

    • @JtotheM
      @JtotheM Год назад +1

      @@AllAboutTKK thanks for the quick response. If I aimed for 1440p would that lower the cost? Is there a motherboard I should be shooting for also?

      @@AllAboutTKK i did find one w/an intel core i5 w/a GeForce RTX 3050. What are your thoughts on that?

    • @AllAboutTKK
      @AllAboutTKK  Год назад +1

      With prebuilds you don’t have much control over that, it’ll always be something that often pairs well.
      If it’s from Asus, MSI, you would have their parts more than not so: their GPU, their motherboards.
      If you go with let’s say Cyberpower or Ibuypower then it is luck of the draw.

    • @AllAboutTKK
      @AllAboutTKK  Год назад +1

      For the kid sure, first time pc It’ll be fine but 4K gaming it does not.
      I dare say better off buying a current new console.
