  • How to replace a Roller Shutter Cord - Step by Step Guide. Welcome back to "The Adventures of Mac & Anthea". This is an easy job when you know how and a pig of a job when you don't. Save yourself the process of doing it the hard way, as I did, by following this guide. I hope its useful to someone

Thanks for the video, it was really helpful!
I spent more time trying to get the box out and back in because there was so much paint gluing things together, and on the way back in one of the sides was refusing to fit, but I got it done in the end.

Your welcome, box can be a pig to get off especially when painted, I've seen a lot of people break them using too much force. Glad it helped

I have a similar one as you ; we didn't have to take it all apart like you did ; we just replaced the string and adjusted the tension. Took 15 mins.

Depending on the design and manufacturer of the shutter you can sometimes get access to the end of the cord. Unfortunately others ,like the one in my video, have a cover that blocks access. Then it all has to be disassembled, which turns it into a bit of a job.

Glad this video is helping so many people, I nearly didn't make it because I didn't think anyone would be interested.

@@theadventuresofmacanthea This was the first/only one I found that actually showed getting the spindle out of the side compartment. I used another video on our French doors and I've been terrified to use it since! haha, so yeah, this was very helpful.
