I'm really digging TCM re-releasing all of these tributes on RUclips. Has there ever been an Audrey Hepburn one? I seem to have a very vague memory of one, but have never been able to determine if this is a false memory.
It's not TCM, but Paul Harvey ("And now you know the REST of the story") did a segment on Audrey Hepburn that was extremely interesting and well presented.
Let me talk about handsome and beautiful and both very talented. Two great legacies. Thank you for sharing this. It is so amazing / everything he said about her could be said about him. Rest In Peace.
I remember coming out of Bloomingdale's in Manhattan late one evening and accidentally bumping into this man in my clumsiness. As I looked up at him to say excuse me I was absolutely frozen in my tracks as I was face to face with what had to be the most incredible pair of blue eyes I have ever seen in my entire life. The man was none other than Paul Newman who was out with his wife Joanne Woodward for a evening stroll. He obviously was used to getting this kind of reaction from people as it didn't faze him that I was completely mesmerized by the color of his eyes as he asked me "Are you ok?" I felt as if I should be asking him that question but he was very low key about the whole thing and after asking me his question smiled and wished me a good night and continued on his stroll with his wife. I have never forgotten that evening and how they both just came across as two ordinary unassuming folks despite both being big stars.
I met her in 1981 at a reception for the Broadway production of The Little Foxes. The room was crowded and noisy, but when an admirer came up to speak to her, she gave that person the full focus of her attention and responded to compliments with gracious humility.
She didn't open her eyes until the eighth day after her birth, even after the doctor tried to pry them open and then one day she just snapped her eyes open and her mother saw her beautiful violet eyes surrounded by double rows of lashes.
They were not violet. They were gray blue which in some lights looked violet. But she was born with a double row of eyelashes. A director when she was a child ordered Elizabeth to wash her face because he thought she was wearing mascara and makeup.
Not many women could earn the love, respect and friendship of their daughter in law after running off with her mother's husband and breaking up their family. But Carrie fisher (god bless her soul, another amazingly talented actress and writer) stated that she came to understand and love Taylor in a very different way to her mother. Speaks volumes of both women.
Incredibly talented and indescribably beautiful. She put her heart and soul into her acting, friendships, loves, and her work with AIDS foundations. We miss you Elizabeth. GOD rest your beautiful heart and soul. ❤💕🥰
What Paul Newman doesn't say is how we all should be grateful for cinema's eternal stars like Newman and Tayor who have allowed us to dream. Just to dream that our lives mean something.
I love Elizabeth Taylor she is a very good actress and one of the best and my favourite actresses of all time and she does excellent work in everything she is in but I also believe she is underrated in spite of winning 2 Academy Awards for Best Actress and I believe it is because her beauty and personal life has overshadowed professional life and I love watching Miss Taylor actor because she puts everything she has in the role with her raw, natural and grounded performances and she is the best.
“Cat” allowed one to believe that Hollywood had integrity and a sense of responsibility. There was a brief golden period when things like method and writers like Williams and Miller flourished. It was too good to last, of course! The money became uncomfortable with the levels of realism evoked. They need escapism to maximise consumerism and consumerism is all that matters, regardless of the damage that escapism does to the mental health of the community, or the extent to which it opens the door to promiscuity and perversion
"She has risen above her pain and troubles while helping others to overcome theirs." well said, Paul, i'm sure the admiration was mutual, two of my favorites EVER, RIP.

I'm really digging TCM re-releasing all of these tributes on RUclips. Has there ever been an Audrey Hepburn one? I seem to have a very vague memory of one, but have never been able to determine if this is a false memory.
I don't recall, but it would be awesome if they had one narrated by Gregory Peck.
It's ridiculous that you have so few subscribers when you have such a deep well of content.
Absolutely love elizabeth taylor one of my favorites.
That kiss with her and Paul Newman may be the sexiest on screen kiss I’ve ever seen!
Happy heavenly birthday. February 27th. You share your day with my son. Kind, gentle and loving. 💞🎂
Absolutely adore the both of them. Cat on a Hot Tin Roof is certainly one of my favorites!
Beautiful ❤️🇩🇰🇺🇸🤗📬🙏Paul Newman, thank you.
“She had these great eyes, just like Liz Taylor.”
Great genes!
Goodfellas
Cat on a hot tin roof. What a classic and two great stars.
She really was a hot screen presence. I am glad they played a clip of Suddenly Last Summer. Thank you for the video.
oh gosh I looooove this. Paul speaking about Liz. This is GOLD
Elizabeth Taylor, the legend.
I met her in 1981 at a reception for the Broadway production of The Little Foxes. The room was crowded and noisy, but when an admirer came up to speak to her, she gave that person the full focus of her attention and responded to compliments with gracious humility.
Ms. Taylor was also charitable.
I loved these little short Biographies/Tributes on Turner Classic movies....always made me feel good inside!
The late great Beautiful talented Elizabeth Taylor!!
They say she was one of the LITERAL handful of people in the world who legitimately have or had violet eyes.
Today Feb.27th,2021... 🎂 Happy 89th Birthday Liz Taylor! (1932-2011) 🌹🎬☆
Paul Newman's wife, Joanne woodward also shared the same birthday with Elizabeth Taylor.
I will always love her! Great American Treasure!
So good to hear his voice again, and in praise of Elizabeth Taylor no less 💙
Elizabeth Taylor was beautiful actress of the world
Stunning couple of talented and amazing actors. No one can hold a candle to either one now days. Paul and Elizabeth are one of a kind.
This is why the babes were so drawn to Paul Newman. He can really see them.
cute
Do you really think he wrote that?
@@kevinwilson3609 yes, I believe Paul Newman's words came from his heart. He was a lovely, lovely man.😉🤭
Iconic beauty and actress
Not many women could earn the love, respect and friendship of their daughter in law after running off with her mother's husband and breaking up their family. But Carrie fisher (god bless her soul, another amazingly talented actress and writer) stated that she came to understand and love Taylor in a very different way to her mother. Speaks volumes of both women.
Beautiful tribute. Thank you.
Paul and Elizabeth are two of my favorites 💕💕💕💕💕 . They were a gift for me.
My affair with Elizabeth started in the late 80’s when I rented Suddenly Last Summer on VHS. I was floored. ❤️❤️❤️
What a lovely tribute from Paul
certainly one of the top 5 most beautiful woman of all time.....
That was a beautiful tribute to a phenomenal actress.
Legends always lives on . In their movies and what they do in their regular life time
The word beautiful is used to describe women, but she was something beyond beautiful, if there is such a thing.
He was indeed the sexiest and my favourite of all times.
Incredibly talented and indescribably beautiful. She put her heart and soul into her acting, friendships, loves, and her work with AIDS foundations. We miss you Elizabeth. GOD rest your beautiful heart and soul. ❤💕🥰
I wish she was immortal. Or I should've been born during her golden times. I miss her 😭
I like that she was a good sport and was not above being in movies like The Flintstones or voicing Maggie Simpson in one episode.
Cat on a hot tin roof is my movie 🙌🏽💙
What a beautiful message
Cat on a Hot Tin roof to bad they don't make them like that anymore
Cat on a Hot Tin Roof was a Master Piece. Great Acting from 2 Gorgeous people
I miss this type of movie's!!
They don't write them like that anymore either. Incredible acting, powerful play by Tennessee Williams.
From Portugal.ILove Paul Newman ♥️
So Great! Love them both! Great beauty, great talents!
That face was indeed phenomenal and she had a lovely figure. Paul was handsome and sexy. Back when Hollywood was glamorous
Loved her in the classic Little Women. So very beautiful always.
One of the most beautiful women to have ever graced the movie screens
rest in peace 💜🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
13 yrs later and I still miss her!
