This is an awesome tutorial. I'm working on a new "forever" world and once I'm ready to make a large netherwart farm this is hands down the inspiration I'll be using. I have enjoyed several of your videos (The Norman Castle is master class!) and I'm glad I found you. Great ideas to learn from. Thank you for sharing!
Howdy dude! I really just wanted to thank you for the effort you put into making these videos, your tutorials are really easy to follow and you don't clickbait.Just keep on doing what you're doing and eventually lots of people will begin to notice you!
Yep, new sub! Gonna skip the mechanics for now and just use the boots and hoe, collecting manually. Bedrock, chunk borders, blah. Anyway, thanks for a very efficient quick build!
just used mine first few times, works nice! for replanting i prefer crouching and just keeping crosshair on the low end of the back block. no accidental skipping by bieng to quick.
I was never a fan on the waterfall method, glad I found this video! Seems pointless to use waterfall if you still need to get on farm for replanting. This is great
Very great video. Thank you so much, Mr. dudieboy I had recently tried out nether wrats out of curiosity, but now it's my very favorite minecraft food!! can't express my love towards nether wrats I've started putting them into almost all of my recipes and I want to keep eating them forever!!!! #lovenetherwrats
For anybody having an issue with the minecart not collecting anything. Make sure you put levers on the back wall of the farm to power the powered rails on the back end. He failed to put that part in the video lol
Good tips and well-presented tutorial! I was able to take good info from this and tweak my nether wart farm a bit in the space I had for it. Had plenty of iron from my spawn chunk iron farm so I just put a layer of hoppers under the soul sand and put the Fortune III hoe to good use.
If you use slabs instead of full blocks for the pathway then you can sprint sideways and be at the optimal height without crouching for planting and gathering. Though I guess you may not get the benefit of soulspeed.
This farm is amazing! Could you theoretically remove the center hopper and have the two hopper lines feed directly into the side of the chest and speed up the item transfer process? Maybe my theory is all wet idk lol
@@dudieboy so I DID get this to work..... Putting the two lines of hoppers on both sides of the chest so the items go in quicker. Just put glass above the chest instead of a solid block
@@dudieboy i ended up putting redstone dust from the switch all along the back and it worked fine, too. also, that part where you put a switch at the end of each row isn't clear in the video so inexperienced builders can easily miss that detail. i like the tutorial overall, though. :) thanks!
The rails are still messing up even when i place them in the proper way you said to do it, how do i fix that. Also im playing on switch so does that play a part by chance?
My carts are getting stuck at the middle of rails, even with changing all rails to powered rails they won't go to end or let alone come back to starting position.
If you don't like the soul sand or don't have the enchantment for your boots, but still want to be able to harvest this fast, use a minecart system down the center. I made one of those a long time ago before the soul speed was a thing.
@@dudieboy I think people often forget about the red nether bricks. In one of my worlds I had a farm very similar to this (back before soul speed boots) that used a minecart down the center, but otherwise same farm set up with harvesting and hopper minecarts. I then used a lot of that to make red nether bricks with. It was a fantastic way to get rid of all the netherrack in my inventory/chests. I'm pretty sure I then used the red nether brick in a blaze farm to differentiate it from the rest of the fortress. Well, and also for decorating around my nether wart farm with the quartz.
@dudieboy I may try and find that world later. I believe it was a 1.17 world, but I could be wrong. To this day, it's my most advanced world with potion making. The new updates have made it much harder (longer?) for me to progress without using chunk maps, and I don't like doing that.
Doesnt seem to collect into the carts at all... but i collect most of the warts being so close. i tried putting items etc on the soul sand let the carts go again but does not collect those either.
Just checking, did you add switches at the end of every rail line and turn them on? Some people are getting confused because I only showed me adding one lever to one line of rails. If that's the case then your carts have gone down to the end and haven't returned.
@@meatman69420 well, technically you can, but the second floor and up wouldn't have the same collection system as shown in the video, so you have to make them at least 2 blocks tall so you can gather them manually, but imho, you don't need multiple floors, if you use a fortune 3 tool to harvest them, you'll get enough to make plenty of potions even if you're using multiple brewing stands, unless of course, you're planning on hoarding them.
@@BoomMC_Inc Sure, please just call out in your video that it's my design originally, and a link in your description would be nice. I've built several other people's farms in my Let's Plays and Survival Worlds, and it seems ok as long as we give credit to the original poster.

This farm is pretty nuts for such a small and simple design. In theory if you had really good luck you could make 14 stacks per harvest

Great farm! I don't have the soul speed enchantment yet, so in the meantime I replaced the walkway soul sand with amethyst blocks for funsies :D

Very cool, I never thought about using hopper carts for a farm!
Thanks! Hope it helps!

oh this is awesome! totally going to build this in my world
Awesome vid my dude
Thanks!
lovely tutorial

Never mind. Tried that and the soul sand doesn't allow you to open the chest.
It was worth testing!

nice farm bro, thanks
Thanks I will try this !!
Great system and presentation
Thanks!
This design is OK, but minecarts are not necessary. You can collect the nether wart into your inventory as you plant new seeds,
Blue from alan becker approves
Yo during the rail part the powered rail would only light up on the row where the lever was.
You did put a powered lever at the end of every row, correct?
@@dudieboy oh no at first I didnt but then I did thanks tho man have a sub.

mine too
Great video but one thing for me is that the items aren’t going into the double chest for me.(on ps5)
Did you set up the hoppers correctly? And you’re collecting with 8 Minecarts with Hoppers, correct?
I believe placing hoppers under the sand allows for auto collection without minecarts?
True, but 128 extra hoppers is a lot more expensive.
Im having problems with getting netherfarm i only get 1 netherwart for every block. Does that mean is it not fully ready
Can’t get the rails to stay the right way. Wasted an hour trying to build an exact replica that didn’t work
does nether wart grow faster if you have lava source near it like how u farm wheat and stuff with water?
No! But I wish it did, that’d be cool.
this is essential.
Thanks!
Bro can you tell me the name of your shader pack i really like it and your tutorial is Op too
Thanks! This video was shot on 1.19.2 and Complementary Shaders.
@@dudieboy thanks bro😊
My carts are getting stuck at the middle of rails, even with changing all rails to powered rails they won't go to end or let alone come back to starting position.
Strange, if the rails are powered it shouldn’t be an issue
no idea how u did those rails so easily, mine connect diagonally all the time
Can get frustrating, but the tips I provided in the video should work in Java edition. Good luck!
If its in one chunk as you show, does it then grow faster? 😀
No sadly! I only suggest it to optimize chunk load, that way prevents only a portion of the farm growing. It’s slow work, lol!
Do you need that middle strip of soul sand that you walk on? Could I just make it like wood or sum so I can run faster?
Like the video explains, Soul Speed 3 on your boots allows you to move faster side to side on Soul Sand.
@@dudieboy yea but will it like mess up the farm or anything?
@@Rasinzz no it won't mess up the farm. you can use any block you want for the middle

I'm not sure wat I'm doin wrong but the hopper won't transfer it to the chest it's jus stays in the hoppers
Probably figured it out by now, but you need to crouch and place the hoppers into eachother so that they all move into the chest in the center
@prog2376 yes sir I did but dats alright other players will c this n find it useful
the rail part is unclear
i know since this is old the chance of a response is slim, but can you stack this farm on top of itself?

Soul sand or soul soil
doesnt collect in the chest for some reason
Place the levers at the end of each rail and turn them on?
i did:(@@dudieboy
The rails are still connecting sadly I'm not sure what to do
That’s strange. Are you playing in Bedrock? The rails won’t lay out like this in Bedrock. 🙁
Should work on Bedrock too!
Rails work a little different in Bedrock, I couldn’t figure out how to place them. That’s why I mark it for Java.
