- In this video we dust off the ninja buggy and beat the snot out of it.
For the new viewers. This started out as a stock 150cc Kandi GK150 go kart. It's a Chinese made kart that came with a Honda 150 clone engine. It is now a custom off-road animal that has a 2007 Kawasaki Ninja 250 motorcycle engine. Its a 6-speed with hand clutch and about 36 HP. Приколы
The best looking one I have seen yet...I hate when people do motor swaps and they extend the rear so far it looks like crap, but yours was done very well...
Thank you!
@@nate32185 not a problem..
Ilove this chaenel
Makes me miss mine! I'll tell ya what works really well for the rear shocks.... a pair of front shocks that fit a 1997 Yamaha Warrior. I had a set laying around and they fit with very little modification to the mount. They are an inch longer travel, and stiff enough to carry 325 lbs. without bottoming out. After I broke the worn out stock warrior shocks, I bought a set of the nitro filled piggyback shocks($150 from Ebay) to fit a warrior, and installed them. They were still on it when I got rid of it, and they rode as good as you'll get without going IRS on the buggy. Plenty of adjustment on them too.
Yeah I was looking at those shocks on eBay. I’ll probably pick up a pair. Are they rebuildable?
I think so, but not 100% sure. They were definitely worth it though. It was a HUGE difference. I was able to actually jump with those.
I'm thinking of buying the Vitacci Batman 200. This would be my first gas powered buggy. People say the engine gives up after half a year or so. How hard is it to swap a Kawasaki Ninja 250 engine in it? I'm only 13 and not that maniacally inclined. Do you recommend any other engine that is easy to install but still giving more power than the stock engine?
Landen, a 150-250cc go kart engine should last a while if taken care of properly. I have a 150 that is 3 years old and the engine is ready for replacing soon. It was run hard with low oil and dirty air filter. On the other hand we have another 150 that is 19 years old and runs strong. As far as swapping engines... it’s a lot of work. If you don’t have access to a welder and don’t have any experience wiring, it’s going to be real tough. Sorry if I’m discouraging you. If you’re motivated and have patience, you would be surprised what you can learn and accomplish.
Im 15 and doing up a buggy, swapping a chinese 250 for a 250 ninja engine, its not super dificult but you have to be patient. it takes time and effort, i have sunk 2 weekends into it already. i dunno about america but here in australia the parts are not cheap, just to upgrade suspension and buy the engine cost $500 aud
Anyway I can get details on how to build.. I have the same gokart
Check out the Close Enough Facebook page. I’ve added build photos. m.facebook.com/Close-Enough-Creations-169530953724831/
Thinking about getting this kart how tall are you i am 5'9 and will probably grow more (im 16) would i fit comfortable? how tall are you
I’m 5”8 and the Buggy is a little cramped. My legs aren’t in my chest or anything just bent. If you watch my very fist video of the ninja Buggy in the garage you can see the accelerator extension I added. At least it let’s me straighten out one leg.
Where did you get that dash from I’ve been looking for one like that
For mine
Are you referring to the instrument cluster? The cluster is from the donor motorcycle. The dash that the cluster is sitting on is custom made.
Close Enough Creations do you know how to rig it up to the go kart
I used zip ties
hello sir where can i get one of those it's nice
How much does it cost this buggy
I have invested a little more than $3000. I built it custom off a Chinese go kart frame.
Nice work. Where you guys from?
Vermont
Close Enough Creations cool. Looks a lot like NJ in summer...haha.
I'm actually building a very similar buggy. 400ex front clip, Carter XTV 150 chassis, trainmaster 300 IRS...ninja 250. Can I ask what size sprocket you used? Thanks!
Sounds like quite the project. I used the bike’s stock 45 tooth and replaced the stock front with a 13 tooth. I’ve been thinking of going bigger on the back to make launches easier. Right now it’s geared more for high speeds.
Close Enough Creations yea I'm definitely in it with this one. Thanks for the info and video. Im going to watch the build videos.
Where do you get one of the 250 bikes for a good price?
Craigslist or marketplace. Keep checking. They show up ever now and then. It’s a beginner bike and beginners drop them all the time. Pretty easy to find a damaged 250 for $500 or less.
@@nate32185 ok thanks for the responce! I will keep my eye out.
@@nate32185 also how hard would you say the wiring was? And do they have alternators like cars or do you have to charge the battry?
Honestly, Wiring is a headache. You can find wiring diagrams online that will help identify what is what. You will need to extend the bikes harness, make sure you label the wires you cut. Motorcycles have stators that act like an alternator on a car charging the battery and powering instruments and lights
@@nate32185 thank you!
Very good and it looks fast, can you pass me the tire measurements?
Fronts are Kenda Dominators (21x7-10), Rears are Kenda Bear Claws (23x10-10).
a tip: watch series on Flixzone. Been using it for watching all kinds of movies these days.
@Manuel Kyle definitely, been watching on Flixzone} for months myself :D
@Manuel Kyle yea, have been using Flixzone} for since december myself :)
Is it easy to make those buggy’s
I don’t know about it being easy, but it’s worth it in the end!
@@nate32185 how long did it take u to make it
Assuming you have access to a welder and other essential tools, a month or two. Took me 3 months a working nights.
have you figured out the top speed yet?
