I've just started playing SMT 5 and now I'm on the fence about whether I want to keep going with it or start this. Dang, it feels like a bunch of JRPGs are dropping this year one after the other.
I know, the amount of choice we have is insane this year, in a good way. But enjoy! I loved both SMT V and this!
Switch owners will wait SH2 next year (inevitably coming soon) while they get to play P5R, if Nintendo fans ever will buy it and beat it let alone play it

Ooh, I just finished 7th Dragon, no wonder I had this vibe of familiarty in the art! It was one of the best parts of 7th Dragon, so that's one more thing to look forward to

I've been hearing some very mixed things about the game, but it sounds like something I might enjoy so I'll have to pick it up at some point (maybe when the wallet isn't hurting so bad though lol). Also I really like the character designs! Ringo in particular looks amazing

Aw man! Another home run video! Loving the aggression and disputes between your party members in game. Makes for great commentary! Aaaah! The dungeons and demons never disappoint dude! Ringo is absolutely an iconic design. (Not to mention a welcome change of pace for SMT protagonists.)
I would have loved this game to have 10% more budget to vary the dungeon design a little bit and maybe have an animated opening movie to really show off the style, because I think Ringo has top-tier waifu potential alongside just embodying the whole neon cyberpunk aesthetic, and it could really have made a splash.
Only an hour in so far and can already sense how addictive the demon-building is going to be. Thanks for the great review! Been looking forward to this one =)

The game is simply beautiful, everything about it is so colorful and gorgeous. Loving Ringo and Fig’s character designs. Was going to give this a pass originally but I think you sold me on it.

Great review man, I’m just beginning to dip my toes into the megaten games, I’ve dabbled with SMT 3 and 5, liked the vibe of Nocturne better, played about 10 hours of P4G and LOVE that, so I’m very interested in this game

In answer to the question at the end yes and yes. I actually pre-ordered and paid it off but haven't been able to get to the store to pick my copy up yet, I plan to get it later today. I pre-ordered the original game on 3DS as well I believe. What's odd is a few weeks before Soul Hackers 2 was announced I was discussing games I would love but never expected to come out with my best friend and Soul Hackers 2 was on that list.

I really enjoyed the game. Surprisingly good
The music SLAPS in this game for sure. Probably my favorite aspect of the game. I really wish it had the press-turn battle system. The Sabbath attacks are a bit underwhelming.

I'll be honest I just stared XBC 3 so I don't need a new JRPG in my life but this video does make a good case for it, would you recommend SH2 or P5 if someone only has time for one?
Incredible games all around! However, Persona 5 is one of my favorite games of all time so that's a very difficult one for me to not recommend if you could only choose one.
HBTG, do you think this game was treated as a safe bet means of testing out certain things ahead of the next Persona game? Maybe garner a few more fans before the next Persona releases? It seems to me this game was just too neatly lined up to be a coincidence. I really wonder if this was them testing the waters a bit to better develop their flagship series' next installment.
I do think there’s a lot of concepts and design choices here that we could see return in a persona 6 potentially. Very likely!
Anything ATLUS releases is awesome with the exception of (Catherine Full Body) that game gave me so much anxiety

This game will be perfect on switch due to portability, which is IMO the best way to play jrpg
