Smithsonian have the best narrators narrating excellent commentary ever! I could just listen to them for days and still can’t get enough. The way the narrator phrased it, “the worse thing than being hungry, is being hungry and wet.” I ❤️ Smithsonian!
Saw a bobcat running across my yard while sitting on my porch this summer. It was at the edge of dark and I couldn’t believe my eyes! Keep my small dog close by always. We have beavers too…didn’t know the bobcat would go after them…they can be fearless.
Yea, what a gyp! I guess I’m not the only guy who clicked on this to see the satisfaction of the bobcat licking it’s chops having enjoyed a duck or two.

Awww, at 3:20 the bobcat looks so sad and miserable 😢... He's even got wet weeds hanging from his mouth, poor guy lolol What a majestic creature though, hopefully he had some good hunting after that!
Wow ! I came on this channel just to see a Bobcat actually catch its prey 😳 I see other videos where people domesticate them, but in part I can see why 🤷🏾♂️ They don’t look large enough to take on a fully grown deer, so I am truly truly curious now. 🤔
On the other hand Lynx, isn't that a similar animal with big feet like snowshoes which does well in the snow? Wonder if their ranges overlap & if they can interbreed.
He should just find some near sighted old woman and pretend he's a stray cat
TBH, he'd try to impersonate a stray cat on my door and I'd adopt him. And I'm no old woman.
This is the greatest comment I've seen all year :)
@@garryiglesias4074 he might eat any actual Housecats you have

A Bobcat Uses a Different Hunting Strategy to Catch a Cold - would be the only applicable title to this.
LOL!
🤣🤣
chussein1 now they Will learn suecide yhe just like humans 😂😂
Colds happen in winter not from the temperature itself but from humans spending more time indoors with others where germs are more easily transmitted.
Yeah big clickbait
Poor guy, wet, cold and no duck :(
I cried
I know 😞 😭😭😭
Yeah, I kinda felt bad for him, too.
duck evades him
Not even a muskrat :(
3:21 Who else felt bad for the cat?
Same here. I bet the Cat eventually realized Humans are nice they will share some food.

Bobcat: *looks at camera*
Bobcat: “Oh would you just be QUIET!!!”
Hunter Hooper xD 😂

All
The title should be called, "Hungry and Wet."
Lol
This barely even had anything to do with ducks..
Title is definitely misleading.
It tried to catch a rat which probably had a duck inside its belly
Not true--the bobcat ducked under cover.
the bobcat got lured there by ducks, tried to hunt a duck, failed hunting a duck, crouched to capture a duck, never hunted a duck.
It's really not that funny, but I'm still quacking.
This bobcat is magnificent AF!
He just became my new favourite animal...👍
The way he just stands there without moving at 3:20 is so cute. It's almost as if he was saying, "... dangit".
I like most animals more than I like most people. Saw a bobcat in the wild once. So cool.
Muskrat 🐀: “Ohhhh you gotta be quicker than that “ 😂😂😂
Bobcats have no business being that cute
What a beautiful creature.
When the narrator said, "...an unexpected target arises," I thought, "An alligator?! WTF?! That is unexpected." Then it was a muskrat. Bummer.
Such a beautiful animal. Sucks he couldn’t catch his meal though. Hopefully he found something further inland!
Or hopelessly die hungry.
HE LOOKED SO SAD WHEN HE GOT RIVER MUCK INSTEAD OF FOOD! I FEEL SO BAD FOR THE CAT!
Same.
Great video, full beauty of great hunter.
All the effort turned to nothing. How cruel nature is
Ah, the laws of nature be a harsh mistress
Uhhh, are you new here?
The zoo doesn't look so bad after all....
Depends on the side you're on... this time nature was good to the muskrat.
But yep, it's a tough world out there for both sides.

you saying that makes me think you never saw an attenborough-narrated documentary.

😂😅🤣 Lol at the ducks laughing in the background after the bobcat loses the muskrat

Nothing to see? How often do you see such a beautiful bobcat like this in such HD quality? Not getting the prey is part of nature too.
