I'm genuinely impressed that you got what the lyrics are about.
A lot of people think the lyrics are about depression. Which is absolutely valid.
But if you dive into the history of the band a little deeper, where they come from, listen closely to things they say in their rare interviews, than you might as well come to the conclusion, thhat it's a criticism on our overfed western society. Everything is just a click away. Hence the line:"I would have fun with large animals, I don't feel like trying it." -big animals is slang for big shots. And yet we are emotionally drained, emty.

I prefer the videos, too! They are masterpieces! The combination of music together with the visuals gives you a way deeper understanding and makes a much stronger impact than the music and the lyrics alone. The interacting with the audience in their live shows gives you a totally different vibe and it's also worth to look at. I recommend, to watch the video first and then the live version. Of course always with a good translation of the lyrics. I like your way to analyze and to appreciate their art, you seem to be a smart and sensitive person. I gonna subscribe!

I know you enjoy the videos but, live is worth a look. Ich Will live at Hurricane festival is fantastic. If you watch from Bucksttabu channel, there are subtitles. It shows their mastery over the crowds and their engagement.

If you don't understand how AI (in the current hype technically: neural networks NN) works, you might be afraid or impressed. If you do understand AI/NN, you will be concerned about the ways it will be used by people who don't understand it. (Hint: It doesn't work with knowledge but with implicit statistics and probabilities derrived from examples. So decision making with AI/NN or relying on it's results is a quite dangerous idea.)

I think the video describes Rammstein's situation after their first successful years. They are fat, lazy, burned out, lacking ideas. In Germany, for example, they say they had a few fat years, meaning they were successful, made good money. They also say they got fat, but this doesn't necessarily mean the person's figure, but rather they got lazy because of their success.
I thought that. And also just in general that when people find succes or basic needs are met there is nothing to strive for. The hunger and drive is gone.
Once we used horses so we dont have to walk anymore. Then we used cars. Now we even dont want to drive them anymore ourselves. Where does it lead to in a few hundred years ?

I love how you kind of understand German and you can pick up what they're saying without translation sometimes.
You got to remember too. The song is most likely written way before a music video was even thought about. So I don't believe the song is necessarily about making it in the music industry. I think it's just in general complacency and laziness.

They're obviously rich. They have rolls-royces, fine cigars, fine jewelry, chauffeurs, and hot babes. They have excess but they don't want to do anything.

What happened to the volume? Why could I not hear the song you were reviewing as loud as you? In order to hear the song at an acceptable volume, I had to turn up the volume but when you spoke it fucking deafened me!
