    I was vegan for ethical reasons for almost 5 years. Though my driving factor was ethics, I ate Whole Foods. But I got sick. Physical and mental health issues developed and the last year was hell. I won’t get into all the issues I developed, it’s a long list, but everything I had is gone. All I have done is changed my diet. I eat lots of butter, eggs, and meat, with some veggies and fruits and some nuts and seeds, honey, raw milk, and I limit refined carbs, grains, sugars, beans, legumes, and hardly eat anything with oils.

      I’m in the same boat, been keto for years, changed to a more clean whole foods, including organic produce, grass fed and finished proteins. No dairy and meat. Was so close to going vegan then seen the documentary called the perfect diet. Where archaeologists studied bones of the Paleolithic era and its affect of the evolution of man. Very enlightening and worth a listen…

    Sadly we find ourselves facing perhaps a more sinister explanation for obviously poor dietary guidelines in the connection between saturated fat and testosterone production. Gender confusion is out of control due to hormonal imbalance..just a coincidence?

    Sadly, there seems to be too much money in the diet industry. I haven't found a whole lot of usable information about paleo on YT. I found most of the information I needed for a computer science degree on YT, but trying to find a channel dedicated to paleo meals has been more difficult.

    • @SuperiorityQomplex
      @SuperiorityQomplex 11 месяцев назад +1

      Sadly, diet studies seem to be near garbage for the most part. They tend to be epidemiological with surveys and questionnaires and and really lose definitions of things. Like when they announced that red meat was carcinogenic like smoking, it turned out they were counting pizza as 'red meat'. Sure, red meat is on it some of them, but is it the meat or the bread it's cooked on or is it just that the meat is processed, or is it just that shiftless lazy smokers and boozehounds are the ones eating pizza all the time? It's not differentiating between grass fed beef or 7/11 hotdogs. So ya, I think the whole food science industry is mostly a joke. They really need to lock it down better.
      That said, Paleo is really just eating veggies, fruits, nuts, seeds, meats, fish, healthy fats, etc. It's really just taking out the processed foods. I know some people get religious about it and think they are actually eating like cavemen. But let's face it, we don't have the animals or veggies/ fruit the same as they were tens of thousands of years ago anyway. But regardless, it's going to be healthier than pizza, 7/11 hotdogs. smokes, and booze anyway. No idea if it's a perfect diet, but it's going to be healthier than the SAD anyway.
      But you're right, it kinda sucks that we don't have better info on it..

      The men hunted meat. When they caught it they cooked it and feasted. When they didn’t catch anything they ate the plants that were gathered. When there were no plants they fasted. Seems more likely than the scenario you’ve made up.

      Our ancestors were hypercarnivores (70% animal products) but that's a whole other discussion. What most people don't realise is that most of our current vegetables and fruit are man made, or at least genetically engineered. Hunter gathers in most parts of the world had the choice between wild game, berries or leaves , or roots. There was no wild broccoli or apple trees.
