I haven't seen all of season two, but honestly I don't want a season three if Neil isn't okay with it. He made the second out of love for his departed friend and the notes left from their collaboration. If the well is dry, then there should be no more and we should be happy we got what we did.
@@Deathstorm501the season doesn’t have a conclusive ending and was definitely written as a transition to the third and final season, I think Neil even wrote somewhere that if the show wasn’t green lighted, he would release the s3 script as a book

I'm so glad that they stuck so closely to the book (Thanks to Neil Gaiman) it really is a most wonderful piece of work, and the adaptation lives up to it.

best book to movie/TV adaptation I have ever seen.
So good in fact I kept telling my son I had seen it before in spite of knowing that was impossible. I read the book while pregnant in 1990 something i had forgotten until i found it on my bookshelf

Satan is any advisary of god but there was the original demon who was a ifrit or fire demon. Lucifer is the fallen angel that rebels with the watchers or something like that. Samael In early text is a loyal but grim servant of god before being conflated as a form of Satan and lucifer. Three different beings entirely!

It, like anything else that gets adapted, depends on the lore.
In the Good Omens continuity, Lucifer adopted the moniker of ‘Satan’ and changed his image to fit the perception of those that presumed things about him (making him ‘fit’ the image of a demon rather than an angel). At least, that’s the interpretation I’m going with, minding that Crawley and Aziraphel were both _also_ angels and haven’t much changed their images nor names (nor had reason to change) in the centuries they’ve been on Earth.
To that end, Satan not looking like what Lucifer ‘should’ look like, tracks.
"Satan" is Hebrew for "adversary," which is usually interpreted as the devil.
"Lucifer" is Latin for "morning star," which has been used both to describw the glory of Jesus and the fallen, prideful angel.
"Samael" means "Poison of God" in Hebrew, and used as an angel's name in Talmuds.
Any lore, backstory, or explanations other than the one I've written above are works of fiction writers and have no true relations to the actual religion.
