Nice review, thanks for the example list of games which would suit each controller better.
great job answered everything that could be answered online thnaks
great video, right to the point i love thank you kind sir!
I’m giving you a like because the review was very good and FINALLY someone mentions rocket league
love u bro, i need this video, and you with this video exist.
I would really like to see input lag test from both controllers wired, Bluetooth, and x box with the in bundle adapter. and if you could do a comparison with an additional previous-gen controller that would be cherry.
its a 2 frame difference, bt dualsense is in 6 frames, wired xbox controller is 7, bt xbox controller is between 8-9

They need to make different controllers size from manufacture.. like s/m and l/xl versions..
great video, just a small thing about the ps5 controller (or any ps3/4/5 controller) , the battery can easly also be swapped by opening the controller and pulling a connector, it's normally not glued or anything, but yes, it requires opening up the controller which altho not hard, it can be hard for those who don't know how to
I brought the Xbox series gamepad, is cheaper where I live, cheaper than the Xbox One gamepad lol. And is also plug and play. I imagine that for the dual shock you need to install some program to run properly.
Steam detects dualSence controller ....but i prefer xbox controller for pc

@@Dr.Akakia do you find the new xbox controller to small for you? I’m coming from Xbox one controller and am worried it’s too small
@@landon5104 In my personal case, I don’t find it small tbh cause it’s almost like the Xbox One controller (just a bit smaller)
@@Dr.Akakia some of us do not use just steam. Xbox works by default. Ps controller i always needed ds4windows
I like that on the PlayStation the face buttons have more space between them so that it isn't so cramped. Xbox moved the face buttons closer when it went from 360 to One, and made it even closer from One to Series.
Closer is better. Quicker to switch buttons. Less work for your thumb. Xbox wins for ergonomics.
Let’s not even talk battery. Xbox is 25 hours and quick swap battery. ps5 is 8 hours and you need to plug a cable to charge.
I also never liked ps thumb stick position.
And because we are competing for pc. Xbox wins by default. No need to install ds4windows. I actually didn’t mind installing. But if you forget to switch it on then you need to close the game and switch on then open the game again.
Xbox also has blutooth and the option of the usb receiver that has a better and quicker connection.

0. Durability
An Xbox controller lasts you 2 months because it is cheap.
@@vitorfernandes651
1. Button Placement
You seriously think you're saving energy for having the buttons close together? "Less work for you thumb" Wtf.
The fact that the buttons are even closer than Xbox One and Xbox 360 means you're going to get even more misclicks than previous generations, and this is especially true for anyone like me who plays expert-level rhythm games. And somehow you are over here being worried about saving energy from thumb fatigue. You don't know the first thing about thumb fatigue. But I do.
@@vitorfernandes651
2. Battery & DSWindows
Since I don't play on console I don't have your same problem of battery problems. My battery nor the position of where I sit NEVER changes regardless of battery life. How hard is it plug a cable into your controller? That is somehow harder than having to finick with batteries? The amount of time I spend in my life worried about battery is less than putting in and out batteries. That's just a fact. Never worried about battery before, never will. Why should I start?
And DSWindows gives you the option to set at least 8 different actions to the touchpad? That's a bad thing, right? And it's also a bad thing you somehow don't have the intelligence to have DSWindows automatically turn on when you start your computer? All you have to do is go into the settings once in your life, but that is somehow too hard.
All this just sounds like a console peasant's problem whom has never touched a computer. Seriously.

Myself also a ps guy and i find symmetrical controller way more easier to navigate and use than xbox ones.
Hey man, can you help me with few questions?
I have read articles saying that it has really less lifespan that it will die in 417 hours or so and thats too low.
Is it true?
Question please:
Does connecting TWO dual sense 5 controllers cause your PC to unrecognise on of them?
This happens to me, so I can only connect one at a time. If I want to use a second controller it would have to be an entirely different type like a PS4 controller or a third party PC controller.
Thanks!
What is the best for Euro and American truck? :P
Which one is better for steam, Nintendo Pro controller, ps5 controller, or an xbox controller?
For example, in final fantasy 7 remake intergrade, the button display in the game is ps5, so I think ps5 controller is the easiest to do, but all the functions of the ps5 controller, vibration, dual sense and all work exactly the same on steam as you use it on ps5 console?
In the case of steam, do you ideally own two controllers, a ps5 controller and an xbox controller, and replace the controller depending on game?
I went for dualsense because joyshockmapper supports it. Takes some time to set it up tho.
But it has drift issues and now im scared to buy it :/

I highly prefer the thumstick placement in Xbox controller. If you prefer playing with D-pad, then PS5 wins, although that new d-pad in xbox controller is pretty nice, but location of it seems a bit off. After the feel, the battery is the most important part. Xbox controller uses batteries, which at least in theory makes this controller a better investment in long run. I hate charging my devices and I rather just change batteries. I have rechargeable batteries, so I can use those or just ordinary batteries. I also prefer the looks of xbox controller, I bought a red one, which looks really nice. One more reason was that I already had wired Xbox controller, so now I have two highly similar controllers so it is easy to switch, if I am playing with my friend. Oh, and I forgot the most obvious benefit. When your controller is from the same company as your operating system, it is kind of obvious which one is going to work better. It's high priority to make xbox controller to work, but getting PS5 to work is not so important for many stakeholders in that circle.
Hi, do you know any PC game that currently supports the active triggers?
Yeah, I wonder from where he got the information that some games on steam support adaptive triggers?
Cod cold war maybe?
Forza games uses xbox one triggers' vibration motors
There isn't any. But controller rumble is supported for games that have the feature built in (rise of the tomb raider, jedi fallen, etc.)
Yes, there is. On steam, currently metro Exodus enhanced edition has haptic feedback. But, that is the only one
Good video for me I'm a fan of sony controllers. Ps4 or ps5 but I have the Xbox x controller for my pc and the ps4 con right now. I prefer the Xbox x controller for most games because I don't have to set up buttons and configure anything just turn it on but for comfortable long game play a Sony controller i pefer. A sony controller is nice to use but programs to use to map the buttons I have used ds4 it works good can play warface with controller. I use xpadder right now but I can't get my ps4 controller to work on warface. But good video
My Xbox one controller causes high frame drop when I connect via Bluetooth. I updated the controller drivers via the Xbox accessories app but it still hasn't fixed the issue. I prefer playing wirelessly, it's much more comfortable that way. Please help, Does anyone know how to fix this issue?.
get the wireless adapter.
GREAT comparison. Do you feel any input latency or delay while using xbox controller wirelessly when playing competitive games like call of duty, Fifa etc ?
I don't really play competitive with controller. I always use mouse + keyboard. But they feel very good with single players game.
Thinking about upgrading from my 8-year old $15 Genius Maxfire Blaze5 to one of these two and it's really hard to pick a choice. :D
On one hand, I like Xbox one for its option of batteries (just use rechargable, no power - swap for recharged ones and play more) but right now, its USB bluetooth dongle unavailable and unofficial options are losing connection (from what I heard during research). I could just go on with cable as I already have with the old Genius gamepad...
On another hand, PS one looks nice, layout that I'm familiar with but its tech won't wont with most games on PC and once the inside battery is dead, It will be more inconvenient to replace.
Hard choice, hard choice...

How do you listen to the PC sound through the 3,5mm port with regular headphones?
You could make a video about that. Not much on YT at the moment.
If you have the official wireless controller usb adapter you can.

I’ve owned all the consoles (ok, not the original Neo Geo) and the Xbox controller has been my fave…until now. It’s not even about the adaptive/haptics stuff. I don’t care about that. It is symmetrical and just feels better. Before I kinda laughed at PS controllers (again, I’ve owned all PSs). To my Xbox brothers, don’t hate; it’s great (and I’ve had the Elite).
Do u even understand the meaning of the word symmetrical /?
@@gamingstation4801 I can confirm the symmetrical feel is better, but that is my personal preference.

Might just get the PS5 one for build quality, my Xbox One controller lasted a year then it got a bit of drift, which was annoying but still manageable, a bit later and the d-pad trips to no end making gameplay impossible. Even after opening it up and doing some fixes it's obvious the board the d-pad is on is dying. Maybe I just had a crappy one but I'm definitely more wary about them over the PS5 controller even though it's much more expensive.
Playstation controller starts wearing out after 1 year too. Mine started drifting like crazy & now it doesn't even turn on. Rechargeable battery also wears out faster than replaceable battery.
Hey , does ps5 controllers support gta 5 purchased from steam?

I had the Xbox one already and bought the ps5 one, imo Xbox fits ur hands way better which don't tire u as much and ps5 bumpers suck assss, specially if u play souls games, they feel sticky and hard to press, the input lag of the ps5 controller is amazing without wire
I'm not exactly a hardcore PC gamer but for what I do I'm sticking with the DualShock 4 for the foreseeable future. I don't care about wild features (I don't need the touchpad), I just want a controller that works and the DualShock layout is familiar to me.
If you can modify it do it. Changing micro USB to USB C just works good.
How did u played games with dualshock 4 in pc?
Like if u connect and play games doesnt it show xbox buttons on screen?
@@armorking481 Might depend on the game.
@@EpicB like?
Lets say only single player games like rdr2 w3 Er etc
@@armorking481 It'll probably depend on whether the game even has dualshock button prompts or if they assumed you'd be using Xbox. There is no universal answer.
For consoles, it's whatever you prefer but for PC the dualsense just has more inputs. The touchpad allows you to assign heaps more inputs to the pad, it has gyro for more accurate aiming therefore being able to handle more PC centric titles and having gyro gives it the ability to assign specific inputs to when you lean the controller left and/or right.
do you recommend dualsense over xbox in pc?
@@fadhilrinaldy3343 If you are like me and never use a mouse and keyboard for gaming then yes I'd easily recommend the dualsense over xbox controller for PC. But if you are a mouse and keyboard player that wants a controller for non mouse accurate games, then either controller is fine.

Sorry I didn't get back to be there for you have any questions let I have to be a good time to
ps5 maybe the overall better controller. and I’ve been a PlayStation fan since ps1. but moving on with PC gaming, xbox controller is compatible all around. Pro’s on an Xbox is when playing steam games the button layouts is easier to follow vs PS with the square, X, O etc.
Cons and this just might be me, but I dislike putting batteries on it. I may be wrong but I’m sure you can charge the controller traditionally?
On the plus side, after updating the Xbox controller firmware in the Microsoft website, it is also awesome on the steam deck for those that don’t want sweaty hands on your handheld. just wireless it out with an Xbox controller and you’re good to go!
Replaceable batteries are a better investment for the long term. The Xbox controller can be plugged in with USB but it won't charge the battery.
Bought the black dualsense, works on everything except gamepass on pc... but xbox made the dualshock 4 work so it's just a matter of time till the dualsense work aswell. Like the dualsense it feels amazing, and i hate batteries so i just plug in a cable whenever. 2m cable is perfect for me.

Yeah
Damn I wanna get another ps5 controller but I hate playing Xbox games and it shows A , B , X, Y instead of the playstation shapes. I wanna get the Xbox controller too for price but the latency is not as great as dual sense
what your choice ds or wireless controller who is better?
Are you sure the latency difference is noticeable? Nvidia control panel has the option to boost latency it might fix it
2:30 --> DUALSENSE have gyroscopic too.
The PS3 had it too but I don't remember ever using the gyroscope. It's a gimmick feature.
I'm kind of torn. The PS5 controller has the touchpad, so you can use it as a mouse to control your PC from the couch/bed, but the Xbox controller has better analog stick placement and removeable batteries, so you can charge a set while you are playing and don't ever have to play plugged in, like it is 1987.
So which one did you buy?
Trust me. The trackpad to control the mouse is totally useless. If you need the mouse just go to your mouse and use it. Touch pad is frustrating to say the least. It was great as an
extra button i like that. Like a map button. It was also great in killzone. That’s why i don’t like gimmicks because they don’t get implemented as standard. For pc is useless though.
just use unifiedremote or something for your smartphone to control the mouse. i've used it for years and works wonders.
You use the gyro sensors for mouse aim and the touchpad for extra key bindings.
Or use a wireless mouse
Man X box controller need 8bitdo D-Pad and its thie controller
I own the PlayStation and Xbox controllers. I actually prefer the DS4 the most, over the Xbox and even over the DualSense controllers. DS4 is the perfect size, fit, and comfort. I also use the official PlayStation back buttons because I find those helpful. I enjoy keeping my right thumb on the analog stick and not needing to move it to the face buttons.
The L1/L2 and R1/R2 buttons are not connected on the DS4... means no misclicks. I think the DualSense took one step forward but two steps back.
The only problem I have with the dualsense is the position of the analog sticks they aren't positioned naturally where your thumbs would be after a while my thumbs would strain and slip off the sticks and also the texture of the analog could have been made better
That’s also my biggest issue. And battery life. Unfortunately i need it for the ps exclusive. But pc is just Xbox controller. My favorite is actually the switch pro. 40 hours battery and very confortable with the best sticks and best d-pad in the market. Even better than my elite 2 which i sold for other reasons.
Unfortunately the switch pro doesn’t have analog triggers so i don’t use it for PC gaming.
Also the ps5 triggers are too low for me. The triggers on the xbox are perfectly placed.
if your battery dies while playing wireless, can you just plug it to charge and continue to play (wireless) from where if just disconnected?
I'm asking, cause my ps4 controller wouldn't want to connect via D4Windows without a complete reboot, which gets me to lose whatever I've achieved until then into the game.
*I'm playing fifa the most, so when that's about to happen, I'm losing the match cause of the battery

Playstation still has the same basic design as the ps1 dual shock controller. They are stuck on classic design which is out of date imo.
I bought the Xbox controller because it doesn't use a rechargeable battery. My PS4 controller doesn't even turn on.
Don't take this guy seriously. Half of the ps5 controller features he is raving doesn't work on PC. Also the with the amount of compatibility issues it has you will just end up regretting buying it.
They do work, use DualsenseX
I think Playstation dont switch arrows and left stick positions just cause it would look like admiting defeat. Xbox gamepad disposition make way more sense nowadays, in every game you use the stick to move and arrow like 4 different buttons. Plus, in xbox controller, direction buttons are solid. They understood everything.
You hold the playstation controller lower then you would the Xbox controller. Would make no sense to switch them.
There is no better. Having the stick like the Xbox layout gives my thumb a more loose and relaxed feel. Having the stick like the PlayStation layout gives my thumb a more controlled and precise feel.
It's no mystery I do better at shooters with the PlayStation layout and prefer the Xbox layout for almost everything else (also except rhythm games... PlayStation is better for that as well).
Yeah, it makes no sense to inflate the market with same layouts. When different layouts is more beneficial to customers: Variety of choice.
I play lot of Single player game (Witcher 3, Dark souls 3, Doom, etc... )
When controller has a input lag (e.g. 10ms latency ). Even in single player is hard play. Specially in Boss fights you gonna feel that *latency*.
So when you compare them please do latency test.
Don't play Doom with controllers on a PC. That's horrible, shameful and may Thunder strike you
Latency isn't what you think it is. I come from the pro audio world. Latency is a BIG deal there (recording musical performances). Far more important than in gaming. And 30ms is considered playable. 15ms is considered nearly imperceptible. Definitely not enough to mess you up.
The people that worry THAT much about latency (that aren't actual pro gamers) generally suck at games lol. At least in my experience. They need every edge. No matter how unimportant or pointless.
@@armyofninjas9055 What?! 30ms is considered playable? Dude what kind of game is playable with 30ms? Even 15ms give you disadvantage in games like SEKIRO: Shadow Die Twice, Tekken 7, Dark souls. I am saying this cuz I play games that *ms* matters.
Well single player game is ok If you time your input well. But games like Tekken 7 and MK 11 latency saves life.
@north already tried, same latency
Wirelessly
Ps5 has input lag of 2-3.9 ms
Xbox x has 8-12 ms..
I checked many google site and this data is cumulative of many sites
The Xbox 360 controller destroys both of these in comfort. And in some aspects of build quality in my opinion. It's built like a tank not cheap plastic on the Series controller. And I tend to be gaming at my best ability with the 360 controller.
The xbox controller literally look like other xbox one controller
And that’s why it’s perfect. Sony keeps changing because it was never right. They still haven’t figured that they need to change joystick position. Even Nintendo already figured that out.

Xbox and ps5 both are 8 cores and I think ps5 could have just given a bland turn on and off like Xbox if they had to coz cpu is equally capable..
U need to understand the turn on loading screen and shut down are a vibe for anyone who was always on ps
Xbox controller best for pc everything else is just shit
Both got winner get point 2 got winner and 1 was with a tie so 3-3 so both won do it a tie
So the conclusion is go with the xbox lmao.
Download DS4 windows and just enjoy. The PS5 controller will work on quite literally every single game on PC easily.
Is there input delay ??? I’ve noticed a lot of input delay with the ps4 one with ds4 windows
3:41 I don't disagree with anything he said except for When he started talking about competitive games, wow, THAT IS SO WRONG, Dualsense all the way for competitive.
Nopes, Xbox controller player earnings combined are less than PS ones even though XBOX players are less.
@@omarveleski8244 I'm not talking about which platforms players earn more, I'm talking about which controller is easier and more precise when it comes to competitive gaming such as FPS, RL and Fighting Games. Xbox controller is a fuckup in all that, it doesnt do shit, the elite is an exception tho, but not everyone has 150 dollars in their pockets for a controller you know😑
@@alexs9541 Its way better dude, why do you hink so many pros use xbox? Its better. The sticks, the buttons all of it.
@@omarveleski8244 Which one though? I never said that The ELITE CONTROLLER was better than the ds4 my guy, I was talking about the cheap 60 dollar piece of crap Xbox sells you with the console for which you fuckin have to buy a Damn battery pack which costs 20 dollars, but I will still say that dpads on both controllers are fucked up too, no one uses the Xbox regular or elite controller for gaming, You're being too much off a fanboy bro. I'm just listing facts I'm a pc gamer, so I cannot be biased
Ps controllers are not made for long sessions. The thumb will slip from the thumb stick due to being too far behind when most games you move forward as in thumbsticks up.
Therefore Xbox wins for competitive
Also competitive players will not be satisfied with a 6 hours battery life.
Xbox wins in that they can play longer without worry. These are probably people who play more than 6 hours
Also d-pad on the ps controllers is the worst in the Market by far. Useless for fighters.
Also i assume professional players do not want a light shining on their face or reflection on the screen to distract them. So Xbox wins again.
Dude u know the ps5 controller is better because of the haptics
and most pc games wont support that lol
I don’t like the Xbox controllers. They such balls. Offset sticks are terrible for FPS games
Wrong.
@@foxhound6364 your wrong
