- These Savoury Crepe are common hearty breakfast in Mauritius, usually accompanied with spicy coriander chutney.
Savoury Crepe
Ingredients:
200 g all purpose flour
400 ml water
1 pinch of yellow food color
Chives (chopped)
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 onion powder
Salt
Oil
Coriander Chutney
2 tomatoes
5 strands of coriander
2 small green or red chillies
1 clove
Crêpe Salée
200 g farine tout usage
400 ml d'eau
1 pincée de Saffron colorant Alimentaire
Ciboulettes (ciselées)
1/4 cuillère à café ail en poudre
1/4 cuillère à café oignon en poudre
Sel
Huile
Satini Cotomili
2 pomme d'amour
5 brin de coriandre
2 piments vert ou rouge
1 gousse d'ail

I adore your recipes and presentation. So easy to follow :) May I ask, would you by any chance be able to share a recipe for something called "roti manilal" or as I have recently seen it called, "roti maraz"?? Apologies if I spelt it wrong. When I was little it was called 'manilal' and now when we visited Mauritius again recently, I saw some vendors call it 'maraz'. It looks like a thin white pancake but I remember my mum telling me that it is boiled and then fried, or fried and then boiled? I love this roti but have not found a recipe anywhere online. If you know of one, I would so appreciate you sharing it :) thank you so much!🥰

Hi.. are you using a non stick pan? Normally the first crepe always stick. Temlerature should not be too hot.
