Now michael was the first black artist to be plated on mtv..The white prominent media house. And as a FACT Mtv was in shambles..and about to be shut down..and then HAD to play michaels video under extreme pressure by Cbs..mtv was saved. If it wasn't for michael there wouldn't have been no mtv..they were very near to their deadline. MTV owes everything to michael.. but ofcourse..mainstream is too focused on finding new king of pop & comparing mediocre talent to him...and not respecting this irreplaceable legend. Michael paved a way for all other artists to walk on . In a lot ways..everyone is just doing what he did..walking the path he created...and he STILL remains the best. Is it and you wonder..people in far off villages love him as much as the first world countries..THIS GREATNESS.
Michael said "including Jermaine" because Jermaine was the only brother that stayed with Motown, while everyone else left and went to Epic Records. This was the first performance they had all done together since the mid -1970's. I was lucky enough to actually see all of them (except Jackie who had knee surgery) perform on the 1984 Victory Tour!
I assumed it's cuz Jermaine was jealous of his success, but actually maybe that hadnt happened yet? i think he called him out like this when he got an award later tho bc Jermaine told him he shouldnt release Thriller -- that it was bad lmao. i remember MJ saying, later than this and after Jermaine's diss track n errythang lmaooooo, that everyone thought the Jacksons were this tight-knit family and then he was like "tight-knit my ass!" or something along those lines...i didn't really like Jermaine. other than Michael, from allll the stories i heard n errythang, Janet and Tito are my favorites tbh! you are very lucky tho to see all this talent live!! omg ♥︎
He got the black glitter jacket from his moms closet. Who knew it would become one of the most iconic MJ outfit. He looked so good from head to toe. Lol he was literally the most sexiest man to ever walk on this planet 😍🔥
Ughhhh but I feel so bad bc he went backstage after his performance and thought that his performance was bad and he was so disappointed (he was a perfectionist) and I'm just here like, this is the best performance of all time
He wanted to do the 'toe stand' in absolute perfection but couldn't do it. Being the perfectionist he was... he couldn't avoid any small detail of his performance.Michael worked on his toe stand ever since.
2 fun facts for you: 1) when Jackson five changed record company from Motown to Epic Records, they had to change their name to The Jacksons because Motown the legal right to the name. In regards to the shade of Jermaine is because Jermaine left the Jackson Five in 1975 when they changed labels, in order to both pursue a solo career and because he was engaged to Gordon Berrys daughter, (the owner of Motown). 2) Michael were suppose to wear a black Tuxedo jacket for Motown 25. the black sequin jacket is something he ripped out of his mothers closet the very last minute
Really enjoy these MJ reactions and the way you're able to articulate the magic that we're all viewing makes for an enjoyable watching/learning experience keep up the good work!
Do The Jacksons 'Tell Me I'm Not Dreamin' Victory Tour. It's one of Michael's all-time greatest vocal performances, and a real battle between him and Jermaine.
Just wanted to add this, (Amazing videos by the way!) the majority of his first Billie Jean performance was all improvised as he went, except for the moonwalk and toe stand. Everything else was spontaneous. After the performance, Michael went back stage crying of embarrassment because he didn't stay on his toes long enough, (why he tried to do it again holding the microphone) but, as history goes, this launched him from super star, to mega, and so on and so forth. :)
Michael Jackson said in a few different interviews that he learned his dance moves from kids on the street but he did tweak the moves improve on them . but he did get The dance moves from kids on the street
MJ is one of a kind....as a kid that guy had the voice of an angel. Randy was on that punk wave.....which was also the look of early rappers too. Randy had two iconic looks...here and the We are the World video......this will never get old💯
"all my brother's including Germaine" because once the Jackson 5 left Motown to become the Jacksons, Germaine wasn't a member of the group anymore as he stayed with Motown so this was the first time in years that Germaine was back with the Jacksons that's why he specifically mentioned Germaine
Love you Michael Jackson forever he's the best of all time ... the good there was that all kind of people dancing and jamming to MJ music black and white all colors that's what makes MJ is different.. Motown 25 MJ made a History
I'm 50 years old and seeing this still gives me goose pimples. it's also amazing that Michael still has that impact he did then to a newer generation. He was the biggest artist of the day and the real deal.
Love your reaction. If you go back and look at very old footage of the Jackson five, you will see Michael as a child. Doing the Camel walk, which is actually a frontward moonwalk. Watch a video called Michal Jackson and the Jackson five1971. It is very old footage. I was in the audience, third row, and you will see the Camel Walk. The crowd went wild when he did that.
Love& Peace Thanks for your reply. Yes it was a great thing to witness the greatness of the King of Pop and his brothers I am only 2 years younger than Michael. Have been a fan since 9 or 10.
The reason why he said "all my brothers including Jermaine" was because this was the first time the group had performed with Jermaine since they left Motown because when the group signed with Sony (Columbia), Jermaine decided to stay behind. That was supposed to be the highlight of their performance but Michael had a surprise for them! Several other important things one must know about Motown 25: (1) The reunion of Diana Ross with The Supremes was supposed to be the highlight of the show (though that turned out to be a fiascodue to a misunderstanding between Diana and Mary) (2) in light of that, it was assumed that The Temptations battle with The Four Tops was going to be the high point. (3) The program was organized to establish Motown's value in the marketplace after negotiations to sell it fell through when MCA undervalued their worth. Michael was THE ONLY ARTIST allowed to do non-Motown material but that was the only way he would agree to appear on the special. Not only did Michael steal the show from all the other Motown greats who appeared on the show besides him but his appearance on the show led to his album outselling all others in music history but was a landmark in music history as a whole - even breaking down the racial barrier that kept Black videos from being shown on MTV! (Also, while you were talking about the man at your church doing Michael Jackson moves, you missed the conductor jammin' in the background at 11:17 during Michael's performance!)
He said "including Jermaine" because Jermaine stayed with Motown records in 1976 when he married Berry Gordys daughter out of loyalty to his father-in-law. The rest of the brothers formed The Jackson's the same year and joined CBS records after leaving Motown, and Randy replaced Jermaine. Motown retained the rights to "The Jackson 5" name. Jermaine rejoined the group during this performance, so Michael was paying tribute to him when he said "including Jermaine" confirming there was no animosity between them.

This was the night he introduced for the very first time the Moonwalk! THAT WAS THE NIGHT! Michael Jackson became a super duper megastar at this exact point! So you are literally looking at the performance that took him into a level of fame that can only be explained as Stratospheric! This was fame like nothing anyone could imagine at that time. Just knowing he was in your area would generate Mass Hysteria! Thriller (the album) released November 30, 1982 would start selling faster then they could make it and stay that way well into 1987 literally!... Songs on this one album would be fighting each other for the number one spot on the charts for years! To give you a proper understanding, Thriller was outselling BAD his next album that was released August 31, 1987. His only competition was himself. He had no equals. Micheal would sweep every possible music and entertainment award again for years!.... So... 5 months after this show he popped in my town to do some last minute shopping at our local mall and had the entire mall closed but once it got out and the news was on the radio?!..... PANDAMONIUM! I'm telling you Michael literally drove an entire city to the point of insanity! Streets for miles in all directions were shut down! Screaming at the top of their lungs! woman who looked 60 years old was passing out! Law enforcement had to park almost a mile away and walk to get to the mall plus squeeze through a very dense crowed just to protect the entrances! Teens crying uncontrollably! He had to end up being helicoptered out and when he stuck his glove out to wave as he lifted off that roof I seen so many woman pass out! All sound except my heartbeat fell away as I looked up and felt the air of the helicopter hovering directly over me.... For a brief moment I could see inside heaven and it was the purest form of love and beauty! God was hugging us at that moment!..(Crying!) You don't see heaven with your eyes, you see heaven with your heart..... Slowly sound and environment comes back! All around me people and yes even boys were crying like babies! It was like God came and swept thru our city or something! Paramedics had to resuscitate people! People couldn't walk anymore it was like nothing you ever seen before!...... Completely nuts and that was the power of Michael Jackson!!!
I can't express enough, If you lived in that time period and seen that performance?!.... It was a million times more intense than it is now.... The world is jaded now and media is everywhere. Seeing your favorite star is as easy as pulling your magic phone out of your pocket. Back then you couldn't just see them any time you wanted. Seeing your favorite stars back then was a rare treat!! Everything you appreciate now was turned up very intensely back then. It was like tasting candy for the first time.... You had to be there....
First view I think from me! Yay! lol seriously love your reaction vids..you seem to know alot about music & I admire your love & admiration for all types of music & artists! New subscriber here!
Jermaine was left behind when Jackson 5 left Motown. Jermaine was merried to Didi, the daugther of Berry Gorden who was the owner of Motown. So Michael said "including Jermaine" because it was the first time in many years they had been performing together.
I'm not sure but I think he said including Jermaine coz he left the band before Michael to pursue his own musical career. Anyway cool reaction, you know your stuff. I also think we share a love of Celine Dion as well. Should check out her performance of beauty and the beast live in Japan with the very smooth Peabo Bryson in 1994. Beautiful vocals from both.
yea he said including Jermaine because Jermaine went solo and Randy came in his place. im done with the way he was going in on Randy's outfit lmao also that was Jermaine singing with MJ on that part. the only thing that I wish u had commented on was Marlon he gave me life in this performance because little known fact Marlon was the best dancer out of the brothers and Marlon was dancing his ass off here everyone knows Mike for the dancing but even Mike said Marlon is the dancer Jackie is ok too Tito and Jermaine stick with the instruments lol
The glitter jacket michael wearing here..has an interesting story. Michael was looking for an apt jacket but nothing appealed to him to go with his look.. We know he had to perform his solo..billie jean(under cbs records)..at motown 25 anniversary 😂. imagine the legend u have to be...to perform another record labels song at another. But berry gordy loved him and so did michael. Back to jacket..He went to his mother's room and closet and pulled out this cardigan/jacket came..downstairs and announced to his mother katherine..that he wanted it for his performance..which would CHANGE THE HISTORY FOREVER. ❤ That beautiful moment when jermaine mike stopped and michael and him semi hugged..💖
He said, "All my brothers including Jermaine", because Jermaine had stayed at Motown because he was married to Berry Gordy;s daughter. Meanwhile, the other brothers left Motown and got a contract with CBS, later Sony Records. Michael singled Jermaine out to let it be known that he still loved his brother even though he was with a different record company now.
10:07-10:47 the funniest thing ever 😂😂😂 I knew someone who would 'catch the Holy ghost' and shout "Hey! Mama seh mama sah" You ever sit on a church choir trying so hard to not to laugh, you nearly burst a blood vessel?! You couldn't make this up I tell ya.
His Dad put him out front, whipped him to do it right and Michael said you want it, you got it. Did it better than anyone. Rest King, you did what you could. Hope you had some happiness in this world we live in. The only reason Michael did this was that he asked for a solo spot. He did not want to do this. Barry Gordy and his Mother talked him into it.
That look in Michael's eyes! You can see he meant business that night! Also, I saw a documentary where someone Michael was recording with asked him how did his feet move so fast and he said "from running away from my father" or something. You can almost imagine this tiny scrawny kid running and dodging furniture for dear life...
When Michael said all my brothers including Jermaine he meant it was good having Jermaine sing with them again because the Jackson's left Motown and went to CBS/Epic records with out Jermaine some were in the mid to end 70's it had been years since Jermaine song with them until motown 25 Randy took his place.. that's why Michael said including Jermaine, he didn't say it that way to be funny folks misunderstood it and took it the wrong way..
If he wants to get his life what are u talking about if he's alive he has a life and be thankful because there's people that haven't been born yet that would like to
Young man remember that this took place over 36yrs ago, plus they're entertainers (on stage), so shouldn't what they wear be "striking/different/etc.? I can assure you that if you were to be seen in the shirt you wore during this video (30+ yrs) in the future, you'd be "goofed-on" to no end.
"All my brothers including jermaine" Michael said this because of course after Jermaine left the J5 is had a big impact on the group and the dynamic of the family. Michael ws of course very hurt by it and felt very lonely in some aspects because he felt that Jermaine would always and forever have his back. When Jermaine left J5 Michael couldn't see how Jermaine would be there for him. Afterwards when Jermaine started recording for Motown he started to become more famous just like Michael was becoming they both had amazing songs and everything so the public and the press started releasing rumours that the two were fighting and basically hating each other a lot. This however was not true and Michael and Jermaine always loved each other and to get the message across from Michael side he'd always say, 'all my brothers including Jermaine'. Especially when Michael would thank his families for awards and things he would always say stuff like, 'I want to that all my family and tell them that I love them...including Jermaine!' And to make a point of it, he would point to Jermaine in the audience and wear a really big grin on his face...simple because he loved his brother and was proud to show it.
With out Mike the brothers probably would not gotten where they did Yeah Randy's outfit was WTF LOL True thing Michael Jackson thought his performing of Billie Jean was terrible but then a kid when he was heading out to his car came up to Michael and said that was the most wonderful thing I've ever seen in the world then Michael didn't feel so bad after that
Hey dude, I’m really enjoy your channel and what you’re about. Love your integrity and passion for extraordinary voices music, definitely a great passion we share, especially (in my opinion) Whitney!!! I’d love for you to try listening to a guy called DeAndre Brackensark (think that’s name) he was on American Idol years and sat under radar but posted amazing acoustic session videos on RUclips.... please check him out, I think he has all the amazing qualities that will trigger you and more! Take 10 mins and listen to some of his recent videos. You’ll love them sure!
Btw the reason he says "including Jermaine" is because during this time Jermaine began dating the daughter of Motown founder (Berry Gordy) and Jermaine chose not to continue with the group The Jacksons after leaving Motown in respect of his Berry Gordy. Everyone thought they stopped liking Jermaine hahaha
Yes! Think about how young he was 21, 22! They hit hi up and spit him out! This young Man was something we never seen before! Historic! He’s like of what I’ll never see again on earth!
He said including jermaine because if i'm not wrong at that time the Jackson were not part of the motown anymore except jermaine, I believe. Not sure about that.
Lol, including Jermaine! He did that at the Grammy's as well! 😂😂
Ya'll should be ashamed if you don't like Michael. How could you not smile when you hear that voice? 😊
Hey! That's racist against deaf people!
Pjor Berger What? I know this is a joke, but deaf is not a race. XD
It's not!?
Wait which one of us is wrong 😳
True pablo
I saw this as a kid and vividly remember going nuts when he started singing.
"My toes would have been all broke" 😂

Yes, Michael had 4 octaves & 4 note range. A high tenor he was and an awesome one at that.
xblatino328 it’s always surprising to be that people did notice his range! And fearlessness! The man was BAD! History will tell the Truth, I hope!
*otcave 5 when he was younger. Something you just cannot teach.* ✨
" let me stop talking about the clothes " 😂😂😂 man
INCLUDING JERMAINE 😂 never gets old lol
Michael said "including Jermaine" because Jermaine was the only brother that stayed with Motown, while everyone else left and went to Epic Records. Because he was married to Barry Gordy’s daughter
He got the black glitter jacket from his moms closet. Who knew it would become one of the most iconic MJ outfit. He looked so good from head to toe. Lol he was literally the most sexiest man to ever walk on this planet 😍🔥
MJ JACKSON That's right and he gifted that jacket to Sammy Davis Jr.
MJ JACKSON never seen her wear it either lol.
Ughhhh but I feel so bad bc he went backstage after his performance and thought that his performance was bad and he was so disappointed (he was a perfectionist) and I'm just here like, this is the best performance of all time

Great reactions, It's nice to see someone else appreciating the greatest entertainer of all time - Michael Jackson 👍
Thank you :)
No problem bro :)
He was the king of music and magic and still is best entertainer ever ever
2 fun facts for you: 1) when Jackson five changed record company from Motown to Epic Records, they had to change their name to The Jacksons because Motown the legal right to the name. yep ur speaking all facts! Jermaine did Hazel SO dirty honestly (Motown owner's daughter), a whole modern-day "fuckboy".
React to Michael Jackson MTV vmas performance 1995 it's iconic
Really enjoy these MJ reactions and the way you're able to articulate the magic that we're all viewing makes for an enjoyable watching/learning experience keep up the good work!
Do The Jacksons 'Tell Me I'm Not Dreamin' Victory Tour. It's one of Michael's all-time greatest vocal performances, and a real battle between him and Jermaine.

Nothing better than original powerhouse performances

entire city to the point of insanity! Streets for miles in all
directions were shut down! Screaming at the top of their lungs! woman
who looked 60 years old was passing out! Law enforcement had to park
almost a mile away and walk to get to the mall plus squeeze through a
very dense crowed just to protect the entrances! Teens crying
uncontrollably! He had to end up being helicoptered out and when he
stuck his glove out to wave as he lifted off that roof I seen so many
woman pass out! All sound except my heartbeat fell away as I looked up
and felt the air of the helicopter hovering directly over me.... For a
brief moment I could see inside heaven and it was the purest form of
love and beauty! God was hugging us at that moment!..(Crying!) You don't
see heaven with your eyes, you see heaven with your heart..... Slowly
sound and environment comes back! All around me people and yes even boys
were crying like babies! It was like God came and swept thru our city
or something! Paramedics had to resuscitate people! People couldn't walk
anymore it was like nothing you ever seen before!...... Completely
nuts and that was the power of Michael Jackson!!!
@@lordcron I remember it well. You are so right.
She's out of my life 1987, Bad tour, Japan please :)

MJ's 30th Anniversary performances (Solo and J5)
Jermaine had left the group when that album was finished and wasnt performing with his brothers. That's when Randy took his place.
I got goosebumps omg.

I love your reaction videos on MJ. Please do some more. Thank you.
watch smooth criminal wimbley 1988 :)
Vanessa Roque ahh it's the fucking best!
Jermaine was left behind when Jackson 5 left Motown. Jermaine was merried to Didi, the daugther of Berry Gorden who was the owner of Motown. So Michael said "including Jermaine" because it was the first time in many years they had been performing together.
2019 mj forever more video please
I'm not sure but I think he said including Jermaine coz he left the band before Michael to pursue his own musical career. Anyway cool reaction, you know your stuff. I also think we share a love of Celine Dion as well. Should check out her performance of beauty and the beast live in Japan with the very smooth Peabo Bryson in 1994. Beautiful vocals from both.
yea he said including Jermaine because Jermaine went solo and Randy came in his place. im done with the way he was going in on Randy's outfit lmao also that was Jermaine singing with MJ on that part. the only thing that I wish u had commented on was Marlon he gave me life in this performance because little known fact Marlon was the best dancer out of the brothers and Marlon was dancing his ass off here everyone knows Mike for the dancing but even Mike said Marlon is the dancer Jackie is ok too Tito and Jermaine stick with the instruments lol
correction what I meant that I wish"you" had commented on marlon dancing I meant him as in justthevoice lol
I understood no worries lol
Can you react to Smooth criminal live at Wembley 1988
❤
That beautiful moment when jermaine mike stopped and michael and him semi hugged..💖
10:07-10:47 the funniest thing ever 😂😂😂
I knew someone who would 'catch the Holy ghost' and shout "Hey! Mama seh mama sah"

Phenomenon ❤️
React to things I do for you Yokohama bad tour
Yess!!!
Yes!!
And you are my lovely one from the BAD tour plsss!
haha the revelation you had about the dude from your church tho lol
YES FINALLY WOOT WOOT LIT LIT LIT
N Jackson I love your enthusiasm and appreciate the support 😊
JustTheVoice ❤️❤️❤️❤️
If I'm not mistaken I think this is the first time he ever moonwalked.

WE ARE THE WORLD!!! ALL THE LEGENDS 😭❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Especially when Michael would thank his families for awards and things he would always say stuff like, 'I want to that all my family and tell them that I love them...including Jermaine!' And to make a point of it, he would point to Jermaine in the audience and wear a really big grin on his face...simple because he loved his brother and was proud to show it.
thanks for this info 💛🙏🏻
With out Mike the brothers probably would not gotten where they did
Yeah Randy's outfit was WTF LOL
True thing Michael Jackson thought his performing of Billie Jean was terrible but then a kid when he was heading out to his car came up to Michael and said that was the most wonderful thing I've ever seen in the world then Michael didn't feel so bad after that
Also Fred Astaire called him and told him how much he enjoyed the performance.
Surprisingly Jermaine was there…. Wow
❤️MJ❤️
He was so cute here
Too good to handle its so good its not even funny

react Michael Jackson smooth criminal Wembley 1988 :)
Ricky Nardella Jermaine actually married her
The guy that came in way up high was Jackie.
I’m Bad! The Man didn’t Lie!
Yes! Think about how young he was 21, 22! They hit hi up and spit him out! This young Man was something we never seen before! Historic! He’s like of what I’ll never see again on earth!
