The way Michael was able to give us 40 years of music and different vocal styles and textures but still stay true to his unique sound. Freddie was inspired by classical musical music I can tell. Both are unique and strong.
Freddie's voice was far more powerful then Michael's voice especially in the 80's. Both of of them had beautiful voices, and unique sounds, you knew who you were listening to when you hear a song by either.

There's no comparison for me... Freddie is my favourite singer, there is no one else that comes even close to his talent and musicality in my opinion ❤️💕
Freddie learned singing by himself, he never took lessons. The only lessons he got was for playing Piano. Anything else is just himself. Michael of course is trained and is very professional when it comes to Singing. His Vibrato is very clean and perfect. Examples for how professional he is are just that he never over shoots his voice or does any extra crazy non professional stuff that Freddie loves to do (ESPECIALLY Live). In Freddie's voice I feel more freedom because it is raw and not perfect, not even on Studio, yet he creates masterpieces like for example Bohemian Rhapsody with that voice. Of course I absolutely Love MJ, can't talk enough on how he literally already makes music by just his Vocal tracks, and his beatboxing and all that stuff, but when he started in 1996 to lip sync at Live shows it did make me pretty sad. I forgot some of the reasonings, but one of them was he didn't feel good, and Freddie on the other hand goes sick to concerts and does incredible stuff. Also in studio, after Freddie officially had Aids, on studio he sounds incredible, and then there is the Show Must Go On, the story behind that is just absolutely incredible, my guy was literally dying there in front of the mic but his vocals to that song are too insane and really strong, especially the belting high notes in there, the whole story of that song is just mind blowing. Freddie also has a bigger vocal range, F2-F#6. Michaels is F#2-C#6. In The Jacksons song Different Kind of Lady at the end of the song, if it was Michael harmonizing in the back and if these notes were actually F#6s then it would be F#2-F#6. But here is the thing, I believe that actually Michael could go even higher than his official Vocal range which goes up to C#6 I think he could go higher than Freddie simply because Michael hits these high note with ease since his voice is a little high in general. So the thing about this is Michaels professionalism. He didn't need it for himself and he was too professional to even try. While Freddie just did it because he can. Freddie also might go up to A6, G6 or C7. But the shows at where he hit these are really bad recordings which is why it isn't official if these are the actual notes. But at least Freddie played around with his voice like that. While Michael was just stuck to being professional because thats how he learned singing. I don't prefer either of them I really love love them both. When it comes to live shows though, I have to give it to Freddie, because he absolutely despised lip syncing always wanted to perform and sing even if he was sick. He could control crowds like no other. And while Michael does absolutely amazing unique Choreographs and stuff, I think as much as Freddie runs around, does his own moves, does pushups on stage and all that random stuff he does, it is pretty comparable in terms of singing while doing so much movement on stage. Queen in general always made their live shows better than their studio songs, which song wise with Michael this wasn't always the case. But great Video. Have you heard the songs they have sung together yet? if not check out ''There Must Be More to Life Than This '' and ''State of Shock'' sung by MJ and Freddie. They planned one more song called Victory but they never got around to finish it, there is a demo recording somewhere somewhere but it was never public. And yes the name ''Victory'' of Michaels Victory Tour came from Michaels and Freddie's song Victory. if Freddie didn't die so soon we might have had a Freddie and Michael album.
One of the biggest forks in the road when it comes to comparing these two in this way is the fact that Freddie Mercury was the frontman of a band and Michael Jackson was a solo artist. This distinction is important because Michael Jackson being the ''main attraction'' means that he didn't have to share any of the spotlight with three or four other bandmates, while Freddie did. For this reason Freddie's isolated vocal performances will always be left sounding a bit more empty in comparisons like this because his lines aren't as elaborate and he doesn't use as many backup vocalists, whereas Michael's songs are all quite a bit more vocal-oriented than Queen's. Both of these guys are absolute legends and always will be.
What are you talking about. MJ started off being a front man at 5. As for professional training, MJ was trained in his home with his mom, dad and brothers...they both great. But MJ came "RAW!"...from the streets to the King of Pop on pure talent...
Great reaction. Both are legends for far more then their voices, I think that is something people sometimes don't understand, it is really a whole package. I suggest you heck out Barcelona - Freddie Mercury & Montserrat Caballe, he made an album with a opera singer. Michael had far more vocal training then Freddie, and yet by the time of Michael's History tour he was doing full out lip synching tours. Freddie Mercury at an older age could still sing live and tour. Freddie Mercury's voice was amazing in his final years. From my perspective, I think that Michael Jackson might have been more concerned with entertainment and dancing then with his singing. Which is why I think it is important to realize, that both of these artists were not just singers. Singing is only the end product and something that people can easily judge, or it is something most people notice first. That is a huge part of the general appeal of these artists. Of course they have different styles, on top of that they had different voice types as well, Michael Jackson was a Lyric Tenor and Freddie Mercury was a Spinto Tenor, so their voices had different qualities.
