Once-in-lifetime lion sighting on our way to SATARA

We left Biyamiti on an overcast and rainy day and set our sights on one of the most popular rest camps in Kruger, Satara. With the weather the way it was, we honestly had no expectations BUT Kruger in true form, delivered an absolutely incredible day, beginning with wild dogs and then the highlight of the day, a once-in-a-lifetime lion sighting on the S 28. This was not the end, however. A few hours later we were treated to an awesome elephant experience at Kumano Dam. By the time the heavy rain eventually convinced us to call it a day we had been treated to an absolutely amazing Kruger day.
