I saw new things but had no idea it was a complete new set so they did a great job in respect to continuity.
Yes lots of new buildings have appeared out of nowhere i mean the albert club the under bridge no longer leads to George Street
Massive Eastenders fan, really enjoyed this weeks episodes. Gray finally caught and brought to justice.
I dunno what I'm more excited for. Gray's downfall or seeing the new set onscreen?
both!!
I’m more looking forward to grey getting found out because I think on Thursday night he’s going to die.
Both lol
@@greendolphin100 Yeah, both is good.
Do you know weather its on for half an hour or a hour tonight
"I wish I could take you all up here" - Nice to see Shona staying in character even in interviews.
Thursdays episode was amazing
The new set looks absolutely amazing, done such a good job! I can't wait for Gray scenes!!
It ruins the surprise though. They took what should have been gripping suspense and turned it into a predicable situation. That isn't how drama is done best.
That was every bit worth watching. Makes me want to cry with happiness lol
It looks so good I didn't even realise it was a new set! 👍😅👀👌
I worked at the old one so this makes me a tad sad but love this! ❤️ Such an iconic set. Natalie Cassidy is a legend, adorable woman!!
Nice. Do you mind if I ask what it was you did on set.
Adorable? She's easily one of the worst actresses in the country, she had zero other acting roles, which just proves she's rubbish, and that voice is terrible
Hi you worked on the old set what is in number 23 where Karen and Keegan live i mean the empty shell?
i honestly can't wait', EE i'm so very excited for everyone involved , its a new Era for the show, Good Luck💯👍
Yes!!! Amazing new set I did notice things had changed around the square. Even when Kheerat was hiding this area was different. Finally I’m glad that everyone got to see the true Gray, that was on hold for a while now ❤️
Looks very exciting! This week is going to be a blast 💥 😅
"Would you like to see the new set? Well... SURPRISE! Here is a major plot spoiler! It's a huge turn of events that you'll see later this week! I hope you don't mind the ruined suspense!"
It's crazy that they managed to use the old set for as long as they did
14 years 😳
OMG can't wait for this week , I'm so so so excited to see Gray gets his comeuppance and Mick, Shirley, Whitney, Kheerat, Chelsea, Mitch, Karen and Keegan seek revenge for their loved ones.
Same
Considering stunts were mentioned it will be so disappointing for Grey to just meet with a fatal accident. I would have preferred it if there was a trial instead.
He lived so basically they never got there revenge
@@scottpowell1034 by name is Aoife from Cork can you txt me
I have so much respect for Toby, It takes guts to take on such an irredeemable character and tell Gray's story so true to life.
How can you respect a man who watched the mother of his children die, doing nothing to help her?
@@williamfoy599 toby is the actor... theyre talking about how they respect him for being able to take that role bc acting smth like that is incredibly hard to do, not just skill based but mentally too
@@williamfoy599 😂😂😂 separate the art from the artist my friend
The new set is missing the second cafe, Argee Bargie, Police Station, Tube Station and George Street. Where the new shop under the bridge is was the walkway to George Street. The new set is smaller.
Didn’t expect gray to sound like he does
Amazing work to be honest, I’d love to see the set in person
The new set is great 👍 EastEnders is brilliant the now thank you for sharing
Eastenders is just great 👍 some really good story lines lately
How exciting!!!
Toby-Alexander did a FANTASTIC job; sorry to see him go in a way👏👏👏👏👏
(and he’s sooooo CUTE) from across the pond 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Some cool new teasers like Gray running along the tube lines; also the airbag below the bridge - someone may be falling off? Can’t wait!
Love, love, love the new set! I've been an Eastenders fan since the 80"s. Thanks to Britbox I can watch it again!
It's been a absolute crap since 2010
It's been absolute crap since 2000!
Amazing
I appreciate how much work they've put into the new set but when watching that episode where Gray gets caught I couldn't help thinking surely they'd be more police on the scene to catch a murderer on the loose? Gray was running through the square freely and I only saw like 2 officers up until the end when he was finally caught lol
I agree
Well done to crew and cast on new sets....still looks all good to me
Toby is such a good actor!
Looks amazing 😁😁
4:01 It looks like Gray is climbing to a building and Whitney is chasing him, I feel like Gray will probably kill himself as he realises he can’t escape what he’s done.
More likely Whitney will push him when he gloats about killing Kush
@@jakebiomask I agree with that, then his body will get hidden in a garage, Sonya gave a little hint
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Iconic
Excellent, just amazing! Can’t wait to be well enough to work there again, shouldn’t be long now! X
What job do you do there?
Ngl I thought all the buildings were already there so I’m surprised they made the whole set 🤯
Right this explains where the new gardens and alleyways came from! I made a comment that I’d never seen these things before,
whilst watching that episode.
New set looks wonderful - though it’s such a shame they are just demolishing the original though, so much history there that the new set does not have
I agree, they should’ve left it open for tours. That way, the new set would pay for itself
We paid for the set out of our license fees
@@samuelstevens248 nah YOU paid for n0nces. We don't pay TV license were not a fool
@@natalieann6711 I don't pay either. So if you were looking for an argument you come to the wrong person
Yes I don’t want them to demolish it the amount of history there
So we get to see the new set aswell this week
It be cool for them to do this live
That white inflatable cushion type thing at 3:03 is usually used for stunts when someone falls or jumps from a height. As it’s beneath the viaduct, I’m guessing this could be how Gray meets his demise (instead of rotting in prison where he should end up).
Maybe there as a precaution incase a stunt goes wrong
Yep notched that grays probably gonna take his own life
Its possible that their could be a twist and Whitney ends up seriously hurt or killed off. An someone else kills Grey.
@@jesneylouisereed8451 I was thinking that
@@jesneylouisereed8451 They did that already with the Branning sisters. Gray will be shoved off the ledge by Whitney once the truth about Kush comes out.
Loved this week's show. I must say the guy who plays Gray is so good looking!
New EastEnders 2022
I remember the first episode on the new Lott… there was a big crane shot of the entire set and then martin comes out talking about his coat I think saying, ‘well it looks like the old one but feels very new’ or something like that. Thought that was a nice touch
It really is a dream of mine to be on this set one day 🙏🏻
the mural is so random, should be pauline lmao
I love watching Eastenders I really want to see it I really do I am the biggest fan of it I like to see the studio
I haven't seen Eastenders in a long time because PBS station in Houston quit carrying it and if it's on cable the channel isn't carried on the group of channels I have access to o
Are the interior studio sets still the old sets or have they been rebuilt too?
This new set is fantastic 👑🌟
👁️👄👁️
The new set looks fantastic
Whitney is the best ever, never ever leave! EASTENDERS IS WHITNEY
Actor who plays Gray sounds so different
They could make Walford doubled in size if they were to use the old set. Could make a whole new town which links to the square.
Will miss him...was a great guy on the show...
0:01 Why is there a black bird painted on the side of Arthur Fowler's old drum?
“Black bird” yikes....
Woke propaganda
Is the new set stil in borehamwood elstree studios
How much did it cost the licence payer? £80M+?
Hello. I'm a big EastEnders fan from the states. Can anyone here tell me if the railway bridge on the new set is a real operating railway line like the one on the old set was? Cheers!
So glad I don't pay tv license
Incredible to see how Sonia physically changed .
I looking back 20 years ago ,she was young and chubby .Her Boyfriend was Jamie (R.I.P)
This new set is a great work ,it changed 20 years ago.
Shona is so and pretty ,One of the most beautifuI women I wish I was part of the cast ,I would've asked her for a date .
I love Whitney ,the guy who's with her would have been in the Heavens. She's very caring but unlucky with men .Hope Shona will
will have more fame soon except Eastenders.
Toby plays well .Great work and this story line of Gray's true colours is exciting.
Born in 91 the same year the set manager started out lol, can someone pls take me out my misery and tell me where albert sq is based because i used to think walford was on the tube map when i used to see the tube lol
Wait did i hear once that its near potters bar?
I think the old set was at Elstree Studios, Borehamwood. I think they film Strictly close by.
My favorite show on the planet 🌎 💚💚
who is the mural of?
Toby sounds sooo different to Grey I couldn’t tell if he was a good actor or not because I hte the posh ascent he puts on for Grey lol but fair enough.
God Damn EastEnders is still making new episodes? I haven’t watched EastEnders in bloody years 😂
I think most people stopped watching it years ago!
@@London_Native lmao why is it still airing new episodes? Haha
@@intello8953 Lmao, because the BBC doesn’t have any other soap and the British tax payer bankrolls it so they don’t have to worry about massively falling viewing figures! Haha
Can’t believe whits been there 14 years🤭
Seems like yesterday when she came in #schooldays
its good to see eastenders get a new place and that easties are still going strong like corrie and river city and hollyoaks and so on
Why does the Queen Vic sign look like Sonia
🤣🤪😂
🤣🤣🤣 I thought that too! 🤣🤣🤣
why does Toby's voice sound so different when hes not acting
Maybe he wants to disassociate Gray from his real life self, perhaps he does so by changing his on screen voice
You just answered you own question in saying acting
Because it's acting your playing a different person when you act
Looks like there was a landing pad so maybe someone gets pushed off somewhere at that rooftop maybe Whitney or gray as a chase scene is present
I would give anything to see it in person.
Get a life
@@fingerscrossed2453 You're the one who needs to get a life and stop being so rude
@@AndrewChapman it's pathetic
@@fingerscrossed2453 So is being rude
Does this mean the old set is available for tours?
🥳🥰👍🏽
How do they age the brickwork and road?
was this meant to be released? seems like it includes many spoilers
True!
My guess is gray runs up onto the bridge and Whitney corners him, he then tries to kill her by pushing her in front of a tube (Like Kush) and then she pushes him off after he confesses to killing Kush? O
In soaps they always manage to accidentally push each other down the stairs, off cliffs or into the road in front of a car!
Do you reckon he’s gonna pull a Bradley branning
I love Shona/Whitney, she’s very kind and beautiful. Hope she gets a happy ending….well a soap happy ending! It’s crazy how long she’s been on it now, I loved her since day 1.
I hope Todd returns and she finally has a stable relationship
has anyone else noticed that there is no turpin road on the set anymore?
So what are you doing with old set then? Is that going to be some tour set for fan's?
As licence payers paid for it should let them have a visit
So is the new set still in Elstree??
Yes it's only a few yards away from the old backlot.
# what happened to old building EastEnders
What's happened to the old set though? Have they torn it down like they tore down the old Corrie set?
Good to see all that money not going to waste!
All you need now is better and less predictable storylines, and maybe I’ll start watching again
@AllyLaw you need to come here
Sets might be bigger and better I doubt the acting will be tho.
I’m looking forward to Gray being found out by police that he murdered Chantelle, Kush, Tina the Eastenders square is gonna be so shocked I can’t wait it’s be way over due this story line.
Bit of a bad ending for it, he’s gonna die and not go prison
@@Exodiaontiktok I hope the storyline doesn’t end like that lol
I really wish the BBC hadn't stopped distributing old episodes of Eastenders to WETA in the USA. We where about 12 or 13 years behind but it had been on since they started playing the beginning and I started watching about 15 years ago. The characters became like family to me and that family was taken away. I've tried so hard to find ways to watch but can't find any way. I would love to find a way to watch from the beginning. I'm aware it would take a massive amount of time but I have no life and am willing to try. I think we were somewhere in 2009 in the series. If anyone knows a way please let me know. I really miss those characters sooo much.
Use a VPN on your browser. Can trick you computer into thinking it’s in the UK. Then you can watch all the episodes on Iplayer
@@phallopeonchoobs5290 thanks. I'm going to try. Ive been a little hesitant because when it stopped airing here people were saying to try that but others were saying that they did try but it still didn't work. Do they have all episodes from the start? I'd even be happy with a decent bit of them.
@@buddykaiser2380 yeah it’s definitely if you want to catch up. You’ll probably catch up a lot quicker too if you watch it in your own time.
And from my knowledge all the episodes are on bbc iplayer but you may have to search back quite a bit if you’re a few years behind.
Good luck with the vpn and viewing
@@phallopeonchoobs5290 thank you. I appreciate you taking the time. I actually found this show one Saturday morning a long time ago and was hooked. Its funny because I'm probably not the kind of person who most would think would watch it. I'm a 39 yr old metal head who's into gaming and fantasy/action type movies from Baltimore Maryland USA. But this show is just great from what I've seen. I started watching about a year before the whole Janeane/Paul/Barry incident (look out below! LoL). And it stopped right around time when a certain blonde friend of Stacy was about to tell a certain blonde Mitchell that she's her daughter. I've seen random episodes on RUclips but they come and go all the time and its so hard to keep track of everything when you watch them out of order (not to mention the spoilers from the thumbnails) so I'm definitely going to try the VPN thing. I'm a little tech illiterate but I'm sure I'll figure it out.
@@buddykaiser2380 wow you’re definitely a few years behind bro. But you’ve got a lot to catch up and enjoy. I can say the same with me being a brit about some of your shows especially “the wire”. There’s hundreds of eastenders story lines waiting for you since Ronnie finds out about her long lost daughter
Only in eastenders would they say "maybe the odd body" like its such a casual thing.
Who is the woman on the brick wall? I haven't watched EastEnders in a while
She was painted on during the lockdown hiatus as a BLM tribute. I love it.
I’m on August 2002. Sonia’s dating Gus. Zoe’s dating Dr Trueman (although she’s gone missing), Sam’s found a lump and Janine is off the game now but after cutting her face is to scared to leave Billy’s flat. Oh and Little Mo still in prison.
Those were the days it was still watchable! I probably stopped watching around 2005.
Wow! You only have 20 years to catch up!! 😆
There is some good stuff to come!! Enjoy!
And Billy is still in the show and Sonia and Janine have returned.
Still can’t comprehend how it’s all a set and not an actual place.
Also why do they call it a lot and not a set?
Who's the woman that's painted on the wall??
Someone should have told these guys about Netflix.
The roads would need to be made wider, because vehicles in general are being built wider.
If only they spent that much on decent writers
Whitney better not die
Estella Pitts 👍🇧🇿
No way of finding out Gray killed kush.but seeing Whitney running along the rooftop after Gray I'm thinking he tells her while trying to kill her before someone saves her.
