@MrCaribe65 glad I am not the only one , my dad and by older brother always used Milwaukee m18 and I naturally decided to buy milwaukee and I bought my first couple tools as a mechanic the gen 2 stubby and a extended reach fule electric ratchet both in 3/8.
The 2.5 high output are a game changer in my m12 3/8 extended reach fule electric ratchet it makes even better power and runs longer than the old 2.0 m12 battery i first got. I got 2 of the 2.5 high output for free when i purchased my m12 gen 2 stubby.
I married the 5.0 HO to the 3” Cutoff tool to cut tile. It works decent. I found that the battery still overheated and cutout, but it did last a long time. I cut out 6 device boxes on tile and only lost one bar, compared to the 6.0ahr losing 2 bars.
I wish they would change the locking tabs on the M12 batteries. They always seem hard to squeeze and never have a confident snap when the battery is pushed in.
@@BoostedF15O knock on wood man. I just had my newest one fail. It was a warranty. I now have 2 sitting on my box that I need to take in for warranty and 2 in a drawer that I can’t warranty because I replaced the cases with some aftermarket ones. Found out the hard way that they won’t warranty for broken tabs or if you open the case. Love my Milwaukee stuff especially the versatility of the m12 line but the batteries piss me off.
I’ve got two of those Ryobi power cutters and I love them! Skil has a 12v power cutter that I would love to see a review of and comparison to the Ryobi. Hint hint nudge nudge.
Yes they are. Now try slapping an m12 battery into an m12 drill and getting some of your palm pinched in with the battery....and try removing the battery with your remaining free hand. I howled like a stuck pig the whole time!!! Took everything in me to keep from smashing both the drill and battery once i was free. Oh i was pizzed off!!!!
no wonder if you overstress the cells. there is always a cycle life / amp load balance. if you draw crazy amps, you'll end up with less cycles and vice versa. so in therms of logevity there is nothing around big, double/triple row high amp batterys. (other then compactnes or user fatigue when you carry the tool with you for hours, days, years.).
It also does not help when you have an m12 impacter that does not shut down when the battery is low. Mine will drain a battery to zero and never stop. I like my m12 circ saw and rover lights but the rest of the m12 line could be dropped in the marianna trench and it wouldn't hurt my feelings one bit. It took milwaukee over 3 months to repair my m12 multi tool... No more m12 for me.
I believe torque test channel did this and didn’t see any real higher torque in the longer tests. It has better beans for the first few seconds. But would still love to see others test as well
Ive always wondered what cells are in all these different m12 batteries since theres like 2 different sizes but many different amp hours within the 2 sizes
Maybe and hopefully they've started making them out of a more durable, but more pliable plastic. Because these battery tabs loosen over time and stop working, and also break off.. Also idk about the 5amp or 2.5amp, because almost every higher amperage m12 battery I've bought. Including 2 of the 6amp and 2 of the smaller 3 amp batteries, have failed and had battery cells die in less then in a year.. An yet literally none of my 2amp or 4 amp batteries have gone bad. So pretty frustrating seeing that the price of batteries is already crazy , and the high amperage batteries are all 100$s +. An they really won't even warranty them like the tools. I guess maybe some of them have a 1 or 2 year warranty.
Well crap, now i beed to get the Milwaukee cutoff tool, so i can open those awful blister packs without dulling my knives or slicing my fingers on that stupid plastic. Thanks for an excuse to buy more dumb crap that I totally need
So they fixed all the problems that they had with the old batteries so as a thank you for us putting up with the shitty batteries I'm betting the new ones cost $50 more than the old ones
Milwaukee: makes two different battery systems for no reason other than selling you twice as many batteries, including new 12’s that don’t even save space Red tool fanboys: “yes daddy I’ll buy it, thank you”
Not trying to fan boy but the m12 have a bigger purpose than you think. They’re a lot smaller than the m18s weight wise and work a lot better for fine tools like die grinders.
Sure they do. The Samsung 25R 18650 cell has a capacity of 2500mAh and CDR of 20A. That means a 1P is 2.5Ah and a 2P is 5Ah. That's just want Milwaukee is stating. Thanks for watching.
The real winner is that Ryobi package opener. 😂
That's always a hit. :) Thanks for watching.

I have the 5ah it works awesome. I use it on my right angle die grinder. With a cut off wheel lots of power and run time
Just watched a clip on how to open a package...no words.

Yep and my m12 batteries are falling apart. The black plastic part comes off completely.
totally agree 👍 I don't like those locking tabs. Also a battery tester should be applied to the battery itself, not the tool.

yours kids will love them

They still do. Unfortunately

No they are available now. Just bought this kit from ace hardware for 149.
Hopefully the 5.0 is better than the 6.0. I’ve had several 6.0 batteries fail to charge. I’ve had no issues with any other size batteries only the 6.0

Milwaukee : are you kidding me !? How we aren't making that packet opener
The biggest problem I’ve had with Milwaukee is that their batteries crap out surprisingly fast, out of the 7 I have 2 have gone bad in a couple years.

I can tell you that by "seat of the pants" we really can't tell a difference. Maybe once we measure the numbers, they may tell a different story.
