I have severe autoimmune issues. Because of a life threatening disease, I must take steroids daily. This medication suppresses my immune system, so I used to constantly get sick in the Fall. My husband is a teacher, so he brings home viruses, even though he is not sick because his system fights them off. I have seen a huge difference since I started using Oxiclean. I also do a lot of cleaning with baking soda and hydrogen peroxide, so I am in shock that they are basically the same thing. I am ordering this product today! It is much cheaper, and since we make most of our own cleaning products, this will not be a problem to add to our cleaning regimen.
YOU should have a million subs and your own TV show! Thank you so much for your videos!!
PS I have also been taking some incredible supplements that have boosted my immune system as well. Feeling so much better these days! Although I must avoid crowds during Flu season.
Patti, I'm so happy you've been able to find so much to boost your health and improve the quality of your life!! As I understand, the SPC is often used as a shelf stable form of the hydrogen peroxide! It's nice to be able to mix up a "fresh batch" when you need it. I really hope this helps you, Patti! I wish you and yours good health, happiness and all things awesome. Blessings! 💕💪
Have you tried food grade diatomateous earth?
I've been on it over a yr and it's really reduced the times I've gotten sick.
@Scorched Earth I'm so sorry to hear that. I have Addison's disease, plus a "laundry list" of other autoimmune diseases. Do you have to take steroids daily? Have you heard ot the website/blog called butyoudontlooksick.com and the "spoon theory?" The author also has Lupus.
Lo
If I were you, I would add drinking & spraying homemade colloidal silver & eating the food grade diatomaceous earth. I have autoimmune issues & I already do that. You can start by making colloidal silver with three 9 volt batteries & the silver rods which are not expensive to buy. Then buy a good Brewer to make collateral silver once you recognize its worth.
Most dish soaps contain ammonia.
Oxiclean is a dry form of
peroxide.
Its never a good idea to mix chemicals do to
gasses they omit.
Some can be deadly or combust.
Do your due diligence in researching before mixing any chemical together.

I loved WikiWendy 😂😂😂😂. She sure told you 😂😂😂. This was such a great and helpful video❣️. Gave me a good laugh too. Brilliant. Absolutely Brilliant 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 😉
I'm so glad it gave you a good laugh, Kimmarie❣️ It was definitely lots of fun to film this one. 🙏🤗💕❣️
I didn't know what all sodium percarbonate could do, I'm amazed! I want to get some of this and clean all kinds of things! I'm most excited to try it on my retainers!! Thanks for the link on Amazon! Great video as always, Wendy!! And I liked your twin!😉😊
It's very useful and I like that it doesn't take up much space. There are lots of uses for this stuff! I hope you get to try it! I know they sell it in smaller quantities and Whole Foods of all places I hear has a good pricing on it as well. Thank you for watching Alicia! I hope you're having a great weekend :)
I’m glad I found your video. For 31 years I’ve been making my own cleaning products and I’ve just done a deep dive on this. Thanks for showing us all other uses for this product. You are amazing. I also love how you were talking to yourself 😂❤🤗 I subscribed
"Woww!" I say this at least once throughout your video
My mind is constantly blown by your videos. Great job!
🙏 Thank you for your very kind words and continued support, Cherry! :)
Great ideas! I totally need to clean my slow cooker heating element cover too!! Grimy mess😀😄
I don't even understand how that gets so grimy! There's always some mess left in there no matter how careful we are 😅🤷🏻♀️
I'm confused so are u using baking soda in video or oxiclean and what kind please
I use hydrogen peroxide instead of bleach. Great idea! TFS 💜
H2O2 for the win, Eileen! 🙌 I’ve always been scared of bleach and this is a great alternative indeed 💪🤗
@@TheFrugalMinimalist Glad to hear that! 😀
Great video! I've used sodium percarbonate/ Oxiclean for years, but still managed to pick up new tips from your video. My local beer brewing store in Northern California sells percarbonate for 5 lbs for $14. I used to buy Oxiclean brand from Costco when it went on sale for under $20 for 11.6 lbs. Unfortunately, Oxiclean also contains alcohol ethoxylates, which are effective cleaning agents, but can be contaminated with carcinogens. (Examples of ethoxylated products include alcohol ethoxylates, PPG, PEG, polysorbate and ingredients that end in -eth such as laureth, steareth, ceteareth, most famously sodium laureth sulfate.) Because of skin irritation I've switch to using straight hydrogen peroxide 3% in the laundry instead of percarbonate, and save the percarbonate for serious stains.
I love putting your videos on in the background as I work and clean and do my chores. You have the most calming and soothing voice ever.
How much is spc vs just using a bottle of
hydrogen peroxide with a sprayer attached?
Lemon juice removes sticky glue.
Also Vaseline.
This is such a helpful video. I love the way your coffee pot & crock pot look brand new. I can’t wait to see your next video. Great job 👍
Thank you so much, Debbie! 🤗
What measurements do you use for laundry?
Your twin is even more lovlier than you !😊Again,Wendy, you have expanded my mind towards more simplicity.👍Great video...fun too.
🙏 Thank you, Alana! It was really fun to film this one. Glad I could introduce you to such a versatile item. Simple, multipurpose is the way to go 💪
Well someone’s video editing skills are growing! 😉 First, thanks for these cleaning tips. LOVE IT! Second, please keep these videos coming. Your content (and your silliness) are greatly appreciated and I put to use about 80% of what you share. Thank you!!
🙏 Thank you so much, Amanda. Your words are so very meaningful and encouraging to me. I appreciate you very much! 💕
hi cutie & wiki wendi. I just bought
7.5lbs of Oxyclean by Arm&Hammer. I was looking for that main ingredient and here you have it ,sodium precarbonate. thank you so much. yes, i did try Oxyclean Versatile and it brightened my white hat ,that i really thought had not chance of looking new again. im happy with Oxyclean but I want to use SPC. bye wiki wendi.
but if SPC is not food grade, why using it to clean kitchen utensils, wouldn't it be harmful...?
♥️♥️♥️ Such a great product ... I will be purchasing ... Thanks my friend ❣❣❣
Did NOT know you could use it to remove food stains - that's awesome!
Yes for sure, it's great for all things organic :)
It's also got hydrogen peroxide in it!!! Yaaayyy!!!
what about stain removal and laundry?
how much do i use for laundry? do i pre soak? if so how long and in what volune of water?
Wow. I used to use oxi clean when I worked as a photo lab tech at a pharmacy because it was the only laundry booster that could get the stains out of my lab coats (and I was expected to have pristine lab coats to make a good impression on the customers). Just a scoop of that and it even removed old stains. I really need to buy some again and start using it around the house. Thanks for this great video.
I have never seen anyone use this product. Thanks for sharing this! 👍
It's good stuff, Tom. Gets items nice and clean :). Thank you for watching!
Wow...this is the first time I've heard of SPC. These are great tips. Thank you for the video!
Wiki Wendy looks familiar 😂 cute
WoW, I had NO Idea you had a twin!!! ha ha ha ha Loved the video, now I'm buying a bag of sodium percarbonate! Thank you!
😂 excellent! I hope you enjoy it as much as we do. The reviews are generally very good on this ingredient. 🤗
@@TheFrugalMinimalist , all joking aside, your channel has been a gift to me and my family. I have learned much and even began making my own laundry detergents and soaps! God bless you! and Thanks so much!
@@MonMon-uy8jt Wow that is so excellent and makes me so happy to hear! Saving money for the win! 💪. Blessings to you and yours 💕

What a great video. I've been using hydrogen peroxided + super washing soda + dawn dish soap for years. Good to know that it is Oxiclean. LOL :-)
LOL yep you just needed Billy Mays on your side 😂
@@TheFrugalMinimalist hahaha
Your twin sounds like Alexa😄
can spc be used on enamel dutch oven? thanks
Like 262... Thank you so much Wendy for this video. You have explained it so well. You are indeed Wiki Wendy 😘 thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much, Veronica! 🤗
Who knew?! Very informative video! Thank you so much for the awesome tips. I love to clean so cleaning products excite me lol. I can’t wait to try this out!
I sure hope you do get to try it, Amy! I love cleaning too...well maybe love the before and afters more than the actual act of cleaning 😅. Like vacuum lines have a special place in my heart... LOL 😂. Hope you're having a great weekend ☀️
Awesome video!!
🤗 Thank you so much for watching! ☀️
This has got to be your best video yet! Kudos to your son for his great technical work, too. My husband has used this to clean his thermoses of dark tea stains. I’ve just always used chlorine bleach for cleaning but now that I’m educated (thank you), I’m a convert! Thanks so much for the awesome content! You’re my guru!
Thank you so much! We're definitely learning a lot through this process as well! 😅. Thank you so much for your very kind and encouraging words! 🙏💕☀️
Wow ! :) i love this channel
I wish it took off RUST.
I am DIY-ing rust off my car
Thank you so much! I don’t think it works on rust but it does work really well on organics 😃. Lots of luck on rust removal! 💪
Question: which is more cost effective? Sodium Percarbonate or Oxi Clean? I will definitely try this. When we had carpet, I used to use washing soda in place of carpet cleaner. It had less suds and a pleasant smell. I never knew anyone else that tried this. Happy cleaning!
Oh, and cooking! I’m going to try your pasta soak today.
Great question! For laundry actually I think the OxiClean is more cost effective, but just by a small amount. The sodium percarbonate has the added benefit of being safe around foods, so it's worth it for us!
😂 I thought it was only me who thought it has a smell! Haha
I hope the pasta turned out well for you. We just used it for dinner tonight 😅
The Frugal Minimalist the pasta turned out great! Thank you. We like linguini so I broke it in half and soaked it 1 hour. Magic!
Set wet Tupperware in the sun for a day,
Wow! Definitely have a couple of slow cooker aluminum interiors that need help.
😂 I have no idea how they get so grimy! 😅
Wiki-Wendy hahaha ... clever!!! Great info! Thank you so much:)
😅 I'm glad it gave you a laugh, it was fun to make. Thank you so much for watching! :)
Love your channel so many practical useful ideas! Thanks!
💕 Thank you for your kind words. I'm glad they can provide some value!!
Wow, this is amazing! I watched the video 3 or 4 times to learn how to use it. I love your videos, thank you!
🙏 Thank you, thank you, thank you, Shelly! 🤗
Plenty of mold old apartment
Just get Oxiclean
This video give me so much satisfaction hahah love how clean it all comes out.

Love love this! Great ideas- thanks again for another awesome video Wendy💜
🙏 Thank you so much for your kind words and for watching, Amy! 💜🤗
Great editing and good info. You are rocking your channel!
Thank you so much, Kimberly! Am enjoying the process of making these videos but still working on being videoed 😅
Another
great video! These are really good tips. I love the idea of cleaning many surface with one product),
Also, your editing is great.!
Thank you so much, Jelena! Yes it's nice to be able to use one product and because it only has a certain life, it encourages me to clean more to not waste it all 😅 💕
I bought sodium percarbonate, your liked version was not available, but it was definitely not cheaper than oxiclean.
Thanks so much for this informative video!! Great great information!! 💚😊💚😊
Wow, now I know a bunch more ways to use sodium percarbonate ! I have been a huge fan of Oxiclean for years....but I recently found out about sodium percarbonate so I ordered some. It's impressive what it can do ! You've definitely given me some ideas for more ways to use it.
Thank you
I just bought a bag of SPC on your recommendation; thank you. You said the spray solution will only last for six hours. I've been using Oxyclean spray on laundry stains on clothes that I don't wash until a few days later, and it works fine. What's the ingredient in Oxyclean that makes the spray last longer than six hours? Is there a hack to make the SPC spray keep better that six hours? Thanks
Great video Wendy ! Such a good job in teaching once again. 🥰
🙏 Thank you very much, Deedee! 💕
Also, have you considered making cleaning ASMR videos?? i think people would enjoy that.
You are my favorite frugal youtuber!!! I love how you are so practical and frugal; plus, you crack me up! Thanks for the education!
I had always avoided this bc I didn't know that the solution can last 6 hours! So glad you told us this! Thank you :)
No problem! Yes it has a pretty good life and so little can go such a long way! :)
Thank you for the extremely through explanation and I love how your twin helped too.
You're very welcome, Ruth! There are lots of great resources on SPC. It's quite popular with home brewers actually. It's quite useful!
Great info I can really use! Thanks so much.
I'm so happy to hear, Donna! Thank you for watching :)
For at least a year now I’ve been using one part OxiClean to one part washing soda (not baking soda) to wash my clothes. I make up a batch in a large plastic container and add a measuring teaspoon to the container. I add 1 tsp of this mix to my washing machine, like any other powder detergent.
Hint: to crush lumps in the mix when making this, I use my metal potato masher.
Very impressive! I always learn something when I watch your videos. I've never used this before but clearly I need to be.
SPC/Oxiclean for the win! 😅
Careful with the coffemaker! It's better with baking soda or salt, both non toxic!
Is this safe to clean inside front load washers? Any suggestions for amounts? Thanks.
Thank you for sharing 😊♥️
☀️ Thank you so much for watching! 💕

Very informative video! Thank you!
😂 Wiki Wendy! Omgosh I love you so much Wendy, you are too cute! I love how much information you put in your videos, amazing! Love how you scold yourself. "Shove food in my mouth to fill my belly" 😂 Thanks so much for sharing this my friend! Big like, full watch ofc! 😀❤🙌
Haha, sadly it's the truth. I guess it forces me to intermittent fast sometimes 😂. Thanks for watching Vara! I hope you have a great upcoming weekend :)
I just got on Amazon and ordered some. Thank you so much! And I subscribed.
Your video is superb!!! Thank you.
💜🦄 hi Wendy!😊 you didn't just have me smiling from the beginning, you bad me laughing!🤣😂😅😀 so cute! 🥰 seriously though, I have learned a lot. i haven't ever used Oxi Clean. i do remember their early-days infomercials, though lol! i didn't have any idea about the excellent cleaning and disinfecting properties of sodium percarbonate. now I do. and i'll also do the smart thing and order it through amazon. *many, many thanks* for taking the time to make this, Wendy 🤗😘💐🦋🦚🌸🌺🐢⚘🌱🐠🎶🥰❤ love, Tinkerbell 🧚♀️
😍 One of my favorite duos🧚♀️🦄💜! I'm so happy I could bring smiles and laughs to you! I started out using OxiClean then switched over to the sodium percarbonate and like it a lot better. I remember those informercials! They kept me company during my late night study sessions 😅.
I hope you get to try it! I think they might sell it in smaller quantities. Or if you have a Whole Foods near you I heard they "Oxygen Whitening Powder", but it's not pure SPC, probably more like OxiClean without fragrance.
Thank you so much for your very kind words and support! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🧚♀️
The best video ever. Thanks to share your tricks.
Ooh where have you been hiding your twin? She knows quite a lot, doesn't she? Be careful now. Keep an eye on that woman. She make take your job AND the credit one day!
LADY, YOU NEED TO KEEP AN EYE ON THAT ONE.
😉😂🤣😂
🤔 she was pretty bossy wasn’t she? Will definitely keep an eye on that one. 😉😂🤗
Thanks can you clean sinks and pans bathtub too😀
Just bought some to clean my toilet with :3
Great video. And your sister did a great job too. 👍
Wendy wonderful tips ... thank you so much! Do you have a way to get hidden gunk out of a washing machine? I have heard that it builds up and we can't see it. I've seen l a awesome oxyclean at dollar tree ... is that the same? Or is it better to buy spc from Amazon?
Hi Cathy! For cleaning a washing machine, I'd really use the DT stuff. I've heard of some using oxyclean to clean a washing machine. They fill with hot water and just let it soak for hours, then run the water through. It only works on top loaders as I understand.
SPC I like more for food stuffs because it's pure. DT has the sodium percarbonate and others ingredients/fillters, while the one I listed on Amazon is food grade. I hope this helps!
two lovely ladies. Awesome video.
Thank you for sharing. Would this help to lift grease off of kitchen appliances and cabinets? I use a commercial degreaser but it's quite strong and I have to use gloves and be careful not to inhale it. I'm curious if this would be a safer option
🤔 I have not tried on cabinets, but I do use it on the fridge. I'd only be concerned about it lifting paint off cabinets. Let me try it out when I can and I'll let you know!
Cool video Wendy! Love your alter ego 😁👍 Who knew...so many uses! TFS
Thank you, Ellen! It does have so many uses. There are tons more applications but that would be a really long video 😂. Abundant blessings! (I really love your phrase by the way) 💕
Hi, it's really great video. I wonder if i dissolve spc to room temparature water, can it work as good as hot temperature water? Thanks
Hi the hot water works best. It will work in cold but it will need a lot of time. I hope this helps!
These tips were so good! Thanks 😊
Which brand of sodium percarbonate do you use. I searched in Amazon and could not find the one like you showed on this video.
Hi, I linked the one I bought from amazon, but it looks like it is no longer available from that seller :( The brand is Brewmaster.
Great toothbrushes wow!
Another excellent video with such helpful tips. Thanks a lot.
🙏Thank you for your kind words and for watching, Linda! :)
Where do you find splash guard like you have behind cooktop?
Ty
Hi Loraine, that is actually a glass shelf door I found in Ikea's clearance section. It was two of them for $20, but it had no hardware with it. I think it's this one - www.ikea.com/us/en/p/morliden-glass-door-aluminum-30279755/ - or something very similar. And on the inside I put a curtain I found also from the clearance section 😅. I hope this helps!
Wow!! I love your channel and your wonderful tips!!
Thank you! I love your username it embodies how I feel most days 😅
does it clean oven? and the kind you buy has a fragrance?
I have not tried it in the oven actually! If I do, I'll come back and let you know.
This has no fragrance! It's marked as 99% pure sodium percarbonate. I'm not sure exactly what the rest of the 1% is, but I think it's the coating to keep the product from clumping. I hope this helps!
Excellent! Thank you!
Wendy, after the water get cool will the solution still work?
Yes it will work once the solution is cool - as long as the granules are dissolved it'll work! But if starting with cold water and putting the granules it will take a long time - like overnight.
Moldy grout too
Excelente video, your twin is a very atentive and funny. Thank you so much 🌹
🙏 You’re very welcome, Polonia Rosa! Thank you for watching 💕
