Mr Verrillo, it delights me to say that of your efforts they are indeed appreciated. The tips you provide may at times add insight even to one who may be considered highly experienced. Traders have to incur endless hidden variables regardless of account size. Instances and occurrences are sometimes forgotten or discarded for lack of viable information. One instance I would like to recall was a particular issue years in confinement which however, much investigated the explanation was somewhat concealed. It remained unanswered until a suggestion made by you led to the underpinnings of the issue. Clarity was finally served as a result. Your efforts and choice of content can save immense time in research and it is the basis of my appreciation. Disregard the negatives out there. Those of us who may become your most ardent abutment get it. I have no doubt soon enough you will serve over 200k subs. Do keep up the good work.. Thumbs up mate
Thank you , I could not keep the volume profile minimised on my main footprint screen , once I clicked file , then save all , Now the volume profile will stay minimised on my main screen , Cheers bud
I do not know if it is able to simulate a prop account. There is server side user profit loss management on Trading Evaluator and Teton Order Routing for live trading. Check out this video: www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/VideoLibrary.php&Video=Server_Side_User_PL_Management
Hi Chris - thanks. Can we trade IBKR TWS the same way as we can using chart DOM on sierra? Can the DOM on TWS be customised to the same/similar effect especially using left and right click functionality?
The answer to the first question is no because it’s two different programs. Regarding the second question yes, you can do some left and right click customization with the Booktrader in TWS.
Glad it helps! Earn2Trade uses Rithmic last I checked, you can trade a Rithmic live or demo account on Sierra. However I strongly recommend not to mess around trying to get the Rithmic data to work on Sierra, there is limited support for historical data. Just to clarify, trading and market data are two different things so if you are trading on Sierra, you also need real-time data and typically the best solution is to use their Denali feed. An Important thing to remember is if you get real-time data through Sierra, you need to provide proof of a live futures trading account, or else the exchange forces you to pay the higher professional pricing.
hey Chris fist thanks for all the info you provide. I know most use Sierra for futures but my question is what is your thought on using Sierra for stocks? In particular larger cap stocks. TSLA, META, AAPL etc. I use Tradingview from time to time but I've been wanting to try Sierra. I know one would have to go some hoops as far as linking IB to Sierra and all that. My goal is to get more of an Orderflow for large caps and it's ability to connect excel for backtesting. Hope you read this and provide your opinion. thanks and keep up the good work
For SIM trading, can I input the specific intraday margin that my broker would be giving me? I'm newer to futures and want to trade MES (ES eventually) and would like to SIM trade as realistically as possible on a margin account since I've only ever had a cash account before. Hope that makes sense.
Yea this is possible with their Trading Evaluator. You can set the margin for each contract when you go to Trade > Trade Account Monitor > Manage > Edit Trade Account > Symbol/Product Limits > Use Percent of Required Margin. This is the same menu that clearing firms use to configure client trade accounts. You can also view your margin in the Margin tab when you put in a symbol and search.
The "symbol" and "trade and current quote symbol" option for micros blew my mind, is awesome. I don't like to see the DOM for micros, I would like to save screen space.
Hey I have a problem with the Sierra chart no when I want to taper the chart moves and it doesn't stay in the same place it just goes backwards Can You help?
SC is pretty customizable with moving and configuring the chart. It's pretty hard to understand exactly what you mean but I'm sure I can help you fix it.
If someone sends you a chartbook as a .cht file, this is a chart configuration file. It contains all of the charts and studies on the charts and any settings associated with those charts and studies on the charts. You will be able to change any setting as you wish. The only exception would be custom or user protected custom studies. Those will not be able to load on your chart unless you have the .dll file.
Hi Mr Verrillo, i just recently join IB , and found your channel , this channel is real treasure to me, but i do have a problem with booktrader right now, could you please help me? i am trying to place a stop order at MYM, and the price went over my stop order several times , and it just wont trigger, because of this , i can't really get into real trading right now, i tried to ask IB customer service about this, and their response and performance is just not as professional as you, they seems doesn't know the software too well, could you help me with this please? thank you very much
Hello Nick, thank you for the kind words. If you could explain exactly how you are placing this stop order I may be able to help. You could also reach out by email and we could try to take a stab at the issue. The email can be found on the about page of the channel, I try to keep email addresses out of comments sections.
Just started using Sierra... I hate it! Way too complicated! Even activating account instructions are hidden! Way too much text etc. Looking at it makes me feel sick. Anyone else? Will have to persevere as I'm doing nv course. Will watch this and hope it helps, thanks.
Great stuff! Do you also know how to trade multiple accounts with Sierra without causing processor lag or some optimizations for it? I trade with a prop firm using ninja trader and many accounts to copy across but just installed Sierra to get it working. I'm sure I can figure it out but if you already know that would be awesome thanks.
You can only connect to one trading service at a time in an instance of Sierra Chart. To trade multiple accounts you could use separate installations or separate instances. I haven’t done it myself but I have seen some traders that run trade copiers and trade multiple eval accounts at the same time through multiple instances. If someone does this they can chime in and provide some help.
Absolutely gold standard teaching. Thanks for all the informative videos. Very appreciated.
Very welcome

Do you know how to set up a trailing threshold (either intraday or EOD) in the Trading Evaluator to simulate the prop accounts?
I do not know if it is able to simulate a prop account. There is server side user profit loss management on Trading Evaluator and Teton Order Routing for live trading. Check out this video: www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/VideoLibrary.php&Video=Server_Side_User_PL_Management
nice videos, i'm on sierra now and love it, I used to watch your interactive brokers stuff
Right on, thanks for sharing!

Great. My price is different from the market price. How do I adjust this.
I cannot assist with this without seeing more info about what the problem might be. Do you subscribe to real-time data?

@@VerrilloTrading Awesome, thank you! I honestly didn't think it was!
any idea when level 2 data will be available for stocks?
They already have NQ Totalview but I am not sure about the rest.
Hi, how did You change the color of title bar?
A third party script was used on Windows.
goat 🐐do you have a video on your channel explaining the highlighted BLUE and GREEN prices on your DOM?
Thanks, did you see that in a different video?
The "symbol" and "trade and current quote symbol" option for micros blew my mind, is awesome. I don't like to see the DOM for micros, I would like to save screen space.
Indeed it's a great feature.
THANKS! Clicked IB
Appreciated!
Can we change candle body color?
Yes. This is done in Global Settings > Graphics Settings - Global. Or in Chart Settings > Graphics Settings - Chart.

I think there's a need to discuss their packages and what u would recommend and any alternatives.
All of this info should be readily available on their site. I'll see about alternatives but there are not many.
If someone sends me a chart book will those indicators be able to be downloaded to me also or are they locked? Sorry new to Sierra chart.

Hello how much cost to enroll NV courses?. 😊

Actually I do believe Sierra has a built in trade copy feature for multiple instance, try doing a google search for it.
