My daily driver 1990 bmw 535i fails in the body work category because it’s original paint with no body work done. It’s only buffed out once (with a 10 dollar polisher and finishing compound in the garage) and is badly faded in some spots and the fenders are rattle canned which off a parts car because my old ones were rusted. Mechanically the engine runs great and but has a rough idle, suspension is tight and drives beautifully. I drove to Texas and back a month ago with 0 issues
You should add one more category: Legality. Is the car legal? Can it be smogged? Registered? Can it be driven on the street legally? etc... This is very important and deserves to be on your list.

in 7 years Project Binky should be close for a 1000 miles road test , can't waith ! Cars that should have a nice scores: Ronald Finger's Fiero, Vtuned's McLaren, MCM AWD Mira JDM conversion
The channel hooked me when he was building himself and figuring it out. It’s a different channel now and out of touch with the DIY car enthusiast community. The only projects being completed are by paying other to complete them.
Un-subbed after this video. Not the same channel I was hooked on in the past. Subpar vids and knock off Top Gear stuff definitely not what I want to use my time for.
I almost hit a tree where you started the video for the dragon's tail. It was dark and a storm had come through right before we got there. The tree was blown down blocking the whole road. My 94 and 79 Camaros have made it from IL to the dragon's tail to FL and back again. My kid's 86 Fiero has also done that trip. That road is a blast!
I’m not going to lie, I didn’t like Tavarish’s RUclips channel before, It had to much clickbait, the videos was short, my gearhead-brain-light didn’t turn on because the videos were so similar to other RUclips rebuilds, but now the channel is interesting, educational, funny and no longer cutting corners. Tavarish and Jared has elevated themselves to top tier car builders on RUclips!
This is a great idea that could be turned into a contest. Let the youtuber pick their best example of their work and then have them buy into the contest. Then have an unbiased judge do the judging and the winner takes home the buy in cash. I am almost certain you would be able to get sponsors to put up thing like turbos, wheels or whatever. I am sure that the video that would go along with it would be HUGE. With people like you, goonzquad, b is for build, vice grip garage and many others. IT COULD BE HUGE!!
i say david van voris has the best clean build shown start to finish on youtube that has just had a article about it. he went from being a import guy to a hellcat racer to wanting to go fast so he went 2018 mustang which is now 100% home garage built making 2000hp finished it at tx2k22 and went to tune. but that beautiful custom painted big turbo car actually moved pretty far and will probably do 6s in the 1/4 soon
That's a big NO from me. The Goonz have got better over time, but many of their earlier builds were pretty bad. That is why the vast majority of their older builds were just rotting away behind their shop ... they were not done, and could not pass inspection, so they could not sell them.
I like the goonzquad boys but they never really finish the project 100% (on camera anyway, some they never actually complete). Theyre just like "daaaang son this build turned out clean. A few missing parts here and there but basically 100% complete and maybe we'll put those on on a later date. Yeah dude almost OEM. But that is it guys for this build. Peace" *fist bumps camera*
For there age and they are utilizing the vehicles they use like the super duty or the raptor or trx they are literally what tavarish is doing and have done it more than he had at this point
@@grahamstefaanYeah the viper wheels, windshield. The tesla airbag suspension system. The 350z is still overheating. The f450s windshield is still cracked. the Trackhawk lip. The rear bumper on the Ferrari still isnt painted. The r8 is still spraying fuel, they have yet to wrap/unwrap it and they didnt fix the sidemirror motor situation they just left it as is. The Cadillac is still missing airvents. The TRX wheels rub ehen turning. Basically majority of their "complete" builds still have some ways to go

How does the bodywork section work on survivor cars like Johnny Red or stuff like Casey's turbine powered Batmobile or Cleetus' Leeroy? Also most people building cars cannot afford to meet some of your criteria. Not everyone gets given a brand new hellcat to reshell and has an amazing body guy to give it a show winning finish. A RUclips builds car awards thing would be good to see. We would probably all learn of new RUclipsrs to watch. Maybe you need to write up different criteria for survivors and the stuff of warped minds. Casey's Batmobile, Rob Dahms 4 rotor, Project Binky , Uncle Richards Ice T, Wesley Kagan's mad floating valve project, etc are on a completely different level to MCM's RX7, the Smellcat, any of Hoovies, Eds, cars, etc. Love the Smellcat plate.
@ B is for build would lose this challenge hands down. Half their shit int complete. Most of their cars can't do what they were built to do. Example the burntacon.
I am a body guy and I follow the gentleman who did the work on the hellcat conversion. He does awesome work and you can tell he loves what he does. Its a trade that gets such a bad wrap but I pride myself in the quality and safety of my work. I know that is the same for him as well✔️
Idk, those builds are super creative and the level of detail is pretty immense (burntacon for example). Plus, Chris never hides the fact that the cars aren’t completely done.
Freddie, your builds are always top notch, and you’re número uno! Legit Street cars is 2nd my book. You two are the only ones who are very meticulous about their work. Keep it up!
As my EV conversion is still in progress I’m pretty happy with my score of 35. Will be adding points week by week:-) Thanks for creating this challenge it’s giving my build a great target to work towards!
Honestly i don't think thats what every channel is about... If roadkill did everything right it wouldn't be a roadkill car. Really its what you learn along the way, and the journeys the cars create.

I really like your idea here! We as viewers get to enjoy this ride you're about to take us on with this concept. Doug might want to be the judge? The 2 of you team up and make a channel going over other You Tube vehicle builds. Get the RUclips vehicle channel exposure. This can really help other smaller channels. Maybe Doug is just to busy? M359 Restorations. He is a master at craft with his BMWs and his recent Alpina videos are amazing.
I’ll take the challenge I won’t be the best car out there but, I have a few to choose from. I just won’t have the big budget lol but I’ll take on the challenge. Doing the test and tagging you tomorrow
in 7 years Project Binky should be close for a 1000 miles road test , can't waith !
Same.. I don't think he builds anything anymore, just does commercials or wheel swaps (commercials like this entire video)..
The guys from thailand, they build a chiron out of pvc pipes 😂
I’m not going to lie, I didn’t like Tavarish’s RUclips channel before, It had to much clickbait, the videos was short, my gearhead-brain-light didn’t turn on because the videos were so similar to other RUclips rebuilds, but now the channel is interesting, educational, funny and no longer cutting corners. Tavarish and Jared has elevated themselves to top tier car builders on RUclips!
Would love to see this on the next car trek 😉
This is a great idea that could be turned into a contest. Let the youtuber pick their best example of their work and then have them buy into the contest. Then have an unbiased judge do the judging and the winner takes home the buy in cash. I am almost certain you would be able to get sponsors to put up thing like turbos, wheels or whatever. I am sure that the video that would go along with it would be HUGE. With people like you, goonzquad, b is for build, vice grip garage and many others. IT COULD BE HUGE!!
B is for build should take notes
Holy late upload Freddie. But I’m here. Even if work is coming at 6 am.
Worth it.
Well, BuilderCreator building his own supercar from scratch (Arete). Probably already wins, that and Binky.
I was thinking of Binky as well.
My favorite is Vehcor. Boring build Fridays are the best 👌
i say david van voris has the best clean build shown start to finish on youtube that has just had a article about it. he went from being a import guy to a hellcat racer to wanting to go fast so he went 2018 mustang which is now 100% home garage built making 2000hp finished it at tx2k22 and went to tune. but that beautiful custom painted big turbo car actually moved pretty far and will probably do 6s in the 1/4 soon
This dude just smooth walked me right into that PolicyGenuis ad. Shit was so smooth, i watched the whole ad 😂😂
This test violated each and every one of my project vehicles
Tommyfyeah by far the best RUclips car builder! Does not matter if it’s a GTR or a Honda Civic his attention to detail is almost crazy
I’d say goonsquad has done this more times to count sooooo regardless I’d say they are number 1 from the get go
That's a big NO from me.
Basically majority of their "complete" builds still have some ways to go
Chris from b is for build might have a low score for a few of his cars 😂, still love the channel and the builds tho dude!
After nearly 8 years of work, my current rating according to the test: 5 … well now I’m depressed… 😳
Given 4 more years, yours will be perfect, and you will outlast BOM 😁
@@peterraymond1659 Oh dang it better be done sooner than that! 😂
There's always something going on in the background, and battles we deal with. That said, you're looking good, Man!! Take care of yourself, inside and out. Prioritize your health and family. We'll all wait here for more great content! Keep it all up!
doesn't Adam LZ just automatically win, like the amount of finished project cars he has are insane and I believe a project car will never actually be complete so yhhhhh
I know that is the same for him as well✔️
Tav: "I want to raise the bar of RUclips car builds..."
Sits on the car, the front fender droops and drops to the workshop floor.
I did the test! Althougt my Ferrari 308 project isn't finished yet, it made me set the goal.
It's like if a Doug Score made sense!!!!
I do not like ads, but it's smart of you to include a sponsor in your checklist 😁
Oh boy, as someone who enjoys watching bifb, he would score insanely low on every one of his builds.
Idk, those builds are super creative and the level of detail is pretty immense (burntacon for example). Plus, Chris never hides the fact that the cars aren’t completely done.
Tavarish + B is for build + Throtle because let’s face it nobody goes into that much detail as these 3 when it comes to new projects!
B is for Build 🌳👀🌳
Freddie, your builds are always top notch, and you’re número uno! Legit Street cars is 2nd my book. You two are the only ones who are very meticulous about their work. Keep it up!
Jeeez @Tavarish can definitely see some weight loss! Good job man
As my EV conversion is still in progress I’m pretty happy with my score of 35. Will be adding points week by week:-)
Thanks for creating this challenge it’s giving my build a great target to work towards!
35 is already pretty darn good! Good luck bumping the score up!
Honestly i don't think thats what every channel is about...
If roadkill did everything right it wouldn't be a roadkill car. Really its what you learn along the way, and the journeys the cars create.
That lotus in the back definitely needs a look over with the test! That front bumper lookin mangled
Does anyone ever question the amount of work Tavirish does himself and what he subs out? You'd be surprised, I'm sure!
love the idea my friend but Emelia Hartford has already won her C8 is top genesis world record. Will defiantly still watch the content :) cant wait for cartrek
@bisforbuild left the chat 😂
Maybe you're to busy? I think as a viewer, I am absolutely on board with it!
