    Best 2 year stretch in NFL History. I probably wouldn't disagree. Why I say so is because pretty much every dynasty had it's strength. The Steelers had an unbelievable defense and a great run game. The 49ers had a crazy good passing game. The Cowboys had one of the better running games of all time. However the Patriots could do just about everything. There wasn't anything they were even average at. They could win any kind of game.
    Best example of this might be the '04 playoffs. Held the highest scoring offense of all time to that point - the '04 Colts - to 3 points. Then went and put up 41 on the league's best defense - the '04 Steelers. The '03-'04 Pats were a chameleon. They could be anything.

    The Patriots in that final game agt. Buffalo in 2003 could have scored 50 points if they wanted to. They WANTED a 31-0 score--exactly that score--just for the message it sent.
    BTW, people rarely bring up the 21-game winning streak (2003-04), but yeah, you'll hear it on occasion on a broadcast. What you won't hear is that Brady has also led streaks of 12 (2001-02), 18 (2007, of course), 8 (2010), 10 (2011), 13 (2014-15) and 9-and-counting (current).
    The NFL went crazy over the Cowboys' 11-game win streak this season, their longest ever. Brady tears off long winning streaks basically every other season.

    • @erpmario

      Ruminating15 Brady got destroyed? You mean the Brady that threw for over 500 yards and 3 TDs on the league's fourth best defense? You mean the Brady that didn't throw an interception against the team with the fourth highest turnover differential and the fifth most interceptions in the league? You mean the Brady that near single-handedly put up 33 points on the fourth best scoring defense? You mean the Brady that put up a 115.4 passer rating at the age of 40? *That* Brady?

      Doctor Jones this is where the pats run began though. 2001 was a fluke, after the 31-0 game it looked like even more of a fluke and Belichick looked like a fool for cutting milloy. Then Tom Jackson said “they hate their coach” after this game on tv, and the Pats went 27-3 in their next 30 regular season games, and 6-0 in their next 6 playoff games, to win back-to-back Super Bowls. The 31-0 lawyer milloy game is absolutely one of the most important moments of the dynasties

      @t-dog512 7 лет назад +43

      MANDINGOS INC. Actually you should be the one doing. the research. Every other teams was spying on each other. The Pats just happen to get caught becuase of Eric Mangini. I will give you Deflated footballs only because it is the rule book. But surpise surprise he played better with proper inflated balls. As for the Formation used against the ravens it was legal, other coaches wasn't bright enough like Belichick to actually read the rules to realize it. The league did change that rule the following year because other teams couldn't defend it and complained to the league.

    • @t-dog512
      @t-dog512 7 лет назад +20

      MANDINGOS INC. The league shut down the deflated footballs with the steelers this year real quick. Gee I wonder why...maybe because they were not the Patriots. How about rodgers openly say that he has his football over inflated. Last I check either over or under inflating is cheating according to the rules. For you misinformed information Brady didn't lose the appeal because he was ruled cheating. He lost because goodell have the power to do whatever he wants. Thanks to the contract the players agreed.

      Neither Peyton nor McNair deserved MVP that year. Real MVP was Priest Holmes. Dude was a BEAST in 2003. Was the force behind the leagues best offense (KC) had 27 rushing TDs (which was the all-time record), 1420 rushing yards and 2110 yards from scrimmage. Peyton had a good year (4200+ yards 29 TDs and 10 INTs) but not amazing by his standards, and McNair was okay? I guess? 3200 yards 24 TDs 7 INTs). I know fans of other AFC teams are likely tired of the Pats, but at least their super bowls have had a "crazy factor" that has made them entertaining:
    Vs Rams, huge underdog winning on final drive as time expires
    Vs The Cardiac Cats, winning on final drive as time expires /again/
    Vs The Eagles, locking the game up with a 4th quarter interception. T.O. plays an absolute BEAST of a game on a fractured leg against a historically great defense. (Somehow Dan F'ing Fouts keeps him out of the hall years later because... media nonsense.)
    Vs The Giants, choking away the perfect season late in the fourth in large part due to The Helmet Catch.
    Vs The Giants II, a back and forth game ending with an intentional TD after a ridiculous Eli Manning heave down the sidelines.
    Vs The Seahawks, "Lynch in the backfield, Rusell to throw OH MY GOD ITS PICKED OFF"

    I miss those Pats teams of early 2000s. Back then, their DEFENSE was the core of the team. McGinest especially (best Patriot defender of all time?), Bruschi, Ty Law, Seymour, etc etc etc

    • @jamesmillott9593
      @jamesmillott9593 5 лет назад

      Yeah those defensive lineups were outstanding.
      Seymour
      Ty Warren
      Willie Mac
      Vince Wilfork/Ted Washington
      Jarvis Green
      Ted Bruschi
      Mike Vrabel
      Rosey Colvin
      Roman Phifer
      Ted Johnson
      Ty Law
      Rodney Harrison
      Eugene Wilson
      The offense was versatile but with any other QB we aren't winning the way we did with Brady.
      Brady
      Antoine Smith/Kevin Faulk
      Patrick Pass
      Dan Graham/Ben Watson/Christian Fauria
      Troy Brown
      Deion Branch
      David Patten
      David Givens
      Bethel Johnson
      Matt Light
      Dan Koppen
      Joe Andruzzi
      Tom Ashmore
      Stephen Neal
      Obviously outside of Brady most all of our top talent was on defense as we had great role players Kevin Faulk was an elite 3rd down back. Troy Brown an elite slot receiver, both Givens and Branch were solid exterior WR's but neither was a great talent, Patten was a good deep threat but was literally washed out of the NFL both before playing with Brady and after getting paid and leaving washed out again.
      Dan Graham was an all-time elite TE as a blocker but never a great receiving option. Watson was an elite receiving TE talent but kept getting injured here and while our Oline was very good as a unit not one of them was actually an elite player when Damien Woody left for the cash from the Lions until we drafted Logan Mankins at Guard.
      Now a days we have Shaq Mason elite, Marcus Cannon very good and Isaiah Wynn projects as damn good if he fully recovers from the torn Achilles.
      We have an elite feature back and third down back with Michel and James White. An elitr slot receiver again in Edelman but we just won a SB with the worst set of exterior WR's of maybe any team in the NFL right now nevermind in SB history and desperately need to upgrade at WR and reload at TE again.
      Even our defense is seriously short on talent now after having to lose the likes of Chandler Jones, Trey Flowers, Jamie Collins, etc to cap management. Sure we still have Hightower, McCourty twins, Gilmore, Chung, Harmon (jesus all our talent is at DB and LB with Hightower) we had solid role player's step up like Van Noy but not real difference making talent although we traded for Michael Bennett whom hopefully brings his brother back with him at TE.
      We really need to nail this draft with like 6/7 picks in the top 101 picks as we need like two starting outside WR's, two new TE's unless Bennett does un-retire and return and we need like two new starting down lineman and a LB edge rusher.
