HMS Incomparable: #1 longest capital ship ever designed, one of the largest overall
Wargaming: “give it good stealth!”
You can misidentfied with an island how long it is. Thats maybe thought Wargaming.
given that some consider aircraft carriers as capital ships, couldn't the Habakkuk be considered the longest capital ship ever designed?
@@FltCaptAlan yes
Meanwhile, the Dunkerque has the surface detection range of a medium-sized island at tier 6...
It's height of the superstructure and hull that determines visibility, not length. Being able to see a ship "hull down" while it's still over the horizon was the measuring stick used since the age of sail and then adapted to structures instead of sails/masts in the dreadnought era.
hey jingles, i remember watching ur videos in middle school and getting in trouble with my mom for hearing a cuss word, im now 21 and still watching. thanks for the years of videos mate, cheers!
Same here, Mom didn’t like repeating “but s…” too much. 🤪
I’m 23 I was watching this guy when I was 12. Mighty jingles is the OG of OG
Good to know I'm not the only one who's been here all this time. What a trip. 24 now been here since day one
I’ve been here since I was like 14, 23 now
A funny way of saying at the same time... hey buddy, you are getting old...
lol.
Let me reiterate:
> U-4501 is the fastest underwater speed sub in the game,
> Having almost full battery from the last spotting (before counting extra battery consumable),
> Miles away from his only potential threat (incomp),
> Having comfortable point advantage,
> His teammates is still active in chat so probably someone in red team have warned him,
> He's in tier X.
...and the rest is history.
It really is one of those situations where he could have done absolutely nothing and won.
And yet...
All of that is correct but you missed on critical fact; he's in a submarine. And if any class absolutely confirms to the "Incapable of thinking and breathing at the same time" tagline it's the submarine player base.
@@deaks25not really, I could have atleast killed 2 of 4 battleships before time runs out even with long and they would have not been able to killed me, me having aot of experience in DDs helps me become monster in Subs. He was just bad and didn't know that if all they have left is BBs then they're never be able to kill you because you can just put up with 30konts at below surface and keep pinging and turning right after you launch torps and they'll never be able to catch you.
Bit it's a sub-player, so......
I bet on shallow
Jingles: "Wargaming haven't even managed to pull the old trick of sneaking a couple of hybrids under the radar"
USS Halford on the enemy team: "Ahem..."
Damn, even Destroyers are getting in on the action
Definitely under the radar
@@Cobra-King3 "even destroyers" is yesterday news. I personally witnessed submarine finishing battleship with air bombing...
@@Cobra-King3 Don't tell wargaming about the Japanese submarine carriers then
@@apollo4619 But how else will they get the weebs to part with even more money?
Damn, the moment that sub was spotted, every aircraft in the sector just turned around and carpet bombed the sucker.
More like precision striking.
@@FlinzPrime Either that or saturation, it just looked like the one bit of water was nothing but depth charges.
Battle of the atlantic 1944 edition
@@Wallda_25Exactly!
Begin the chant!
"Mine! MiNe! mINe! MInE!"
"Down in the southeast of the map" That's the southwest Jingles... XD
Definitely !!
Mhm, even subs have to face the ultimate enemy: The surprisingly popping up islands.
with damn shallows
Yep, sub players are idiots.
The way this incomparable was staging his shots, taking forever to shoot, not aiming for squishy 32mm bits, and not focusing down that GK when it was mauling his DM… good example of a good ship piloted by a bad player.
It’s like this guy doesn’t know his has 32mm overmatch when was fighting that NC or that the GK dies at any angle due to its massive super structure.
Me: gets a notification for a game of throws video.
Also Me: smiles, laughs, and cries watching it
No one talking about how much that Montana did for the team. He was practically playing doom with the way he dealt with the left flank
The one down in the western part of the southeast corner of the map? XD
Sub player probably run himself on the shallow ground near island and needed to surface himself a bit to keep moving. That why submarines hate dense island zones, not only because they give opponent plenty opportunity to evade torpedos, but because of shallows which Always happen in most inopropriate time.
He still needed to check with hydrophone ofc...
And can anybody think of a submarine captain who once ran himself aground and had to reverse backwards up the sea mount to escape? Hmmm...
@@Julius_Hardware It's an old reference, but it checks out.
I think the sub ran out of air/battery
@@Roytulin you can see on 19:00 that he had some.
It was positively infuriating watching him not help his teammates take cap C as they continuously either get reset or sail through the cap, would have narrowed the early points gap by a crap load, and I can't see anything that would have otherwise been different other than the points gap considering the known positions of most of the enemies.......
He is quite a coward. He loves to kite and snipe. He even turns broadside to kite even though it's a close range combat and it's perfectly fine to just bowtank or angle. He's also often too afraid to shoot, he prefers to let his cruiser teammate get focused to death while he maintains his HP.
I remember watching mingles with jingles with my 2y old daughter, she's 14 now. Where does the time go!!
@9:35
Somebody get Jingles a compass, please.
Seems that while he knows his North from his South, he's having trouble discerning East from West ...
😆
Which is quite troublesome when you (Jingles) used to be in the Royal Navy 😉
@@TheFreaker86 He wasnt driving the ship, be glad with that.
No hybrids you say? I feel like you forgot about the Halford.
maybe he is not a fan of Judas Priest
I'll have a guess at what he was doing: using the island to provide physical cover to remain on the surface and not deplete his battery. When below periscope depth, even a USS Kansas could catch up to you, he was likely trying to run the clock down, as running away from cover would have increased his chances of being spotted on the surface. Great entertainment as always, Mighty Gnome Overlord
True for tier 6 and 8 subs, but the u-4501 is an exception. It can do 36 knots submerged vs 20 at periscope.
u-2501 does 27 knots submerged, and Balao tops at 26 knots. Only Thrasher and Gato are slow at tier 10, reaching 18 and 17 knots respectively.
I think he just got himself beached on the sea floor.
@@Hell_On_Gaming thank you for letting me know about the tier X subs, I've only been doing ops for the past three years so I'm very much out of touch for anything that is above tier 8 (also I have no tier 9 or 10 because I play so little). I suppose until we see his side of the battle, we'll never know. But hey, not knowing and making us guess is part of the fun, am I right
@@linonardin9629 Absolutely dude! I'm glad you enjoy ops, they're a fun break from the extreme personalities in Randoms.
Watching at 4 am. Don't think I've ever been this early on a jingles vid
Good day to you, Gnome dude.
That was a big lead to throw away. The enemy did just that with enthusiasm and pinache.
That takes dedication.
Hello to Rita, treats and scritches to Hjusie and Akizuki please. Enjoy your evening, Jingles.
🐈🐈⬛👑✌️🖖
Thanks for the laughs, Jingles! Your videos never fail to amuse!
Battleships are actually good at hunting submarines because they have ranged attacks which can be aimed anywhere. Also, they can take a hit, meaning it's not the end of the world if they get spotted. DDs are bad, because they have to close in to point blank range and have trouble getting directly on top of the submarine. And they then tend to be spotted and shot at.
Of course, in this situation, a DD would be happy because there is little to no risk to them, and they have speed.
Congratulations. You are the only U-tuber who actually pronounced the ship name correctly!
"not a citadel, a pitydel". Laughed my butt off.
remember the times when WG told us there will be no bigger guns that the Yama´s ? pepperidge farm remembers
Wasn't it about the same time, when they said, that they never add subs in the game ?
@@OslikusPrime yep
You know how to tell WG is lying? When they open their mouths.
@@OslikusPrime ... and underwater torpedo launchers. "Never" is just new kind of "later"...
On that note of wg never keeps their promise..... Cant wait for early cold war antiship missiles 😂
Can we talk about the fact that 2 battleships spent 10 min on their own back line fighting 1 sub?
That sub also completely ignored B to harass them.
Love how the enemy mentioned being on Jingles
13:50 what was that?! that sound on a hit. Mighty Jingles, explain yourself
🤨 yeah... what was that old man?
I think it's the commander, or a guise.
I had to pause the video and rewind to make sure I wasn’t hearing things
sounds like Spongebob being railed.
Potato's going to potate 😂
I'm pleased Jingles was never in the Navigation department. 'Right off to the SE for South Africa'...ship ends up in Argentina.
Uhh....Jingles, turtleback armor does not work that way. It makes you almost un-citadel-able in short to point blank range. The only way you can citadel German BBs is actually by plunging fire from medium to long range.
0:35 Pretty favourable matchmaking? The enemy team has three abominations that are either utter garbage or broken. The Rhode Island is a TX BB with 356mm guns, the Michangelo is a CA that must be broadside to shoot and the Halford has not one but two Tactical Attack aircraft squadrons.
How exactly did Jingles miss all the Attack sqaudrons hanging around the right side of the map, and in full view of the camera?
Because it's Jingles and he's crap! lol
He didn't have a plan. Willing to bet all he was thinking was "They have all caps that's bad"
Ah delightful, the trainwreck
….im sorry, did he come to periscope depth at point blank range!?
The worst thing about the Incomp is... the guns
No, the damage is fantastic
No, the penetration is great
No, the overmatch makes it deadly
No, it is very accurate
But HOLY FUCK THAT GOD DAMN SHELL VELOCITY
Funnily, HMS Incomparable was not that crazy an idea on paper and was really just the ultimate expression of Jackie Fisher's concept of the Battlecruiser. Fisher always saw battlecruisers as big cruisers, so their ability to fight with other "cruisers," including battlecruisers, was his metric of viability. He preferred mating maximum firepower to higher speed with only the bare minimum of protection necessary to give his battlecruisers the ability to hurt enemy cruisers at ranges greater than they could hurt his own consistently.
In theory, between its 20-inch guns, armor scheme, and very high speed, there was no ship in the world that could get close enough to consistently hurt HMS Incomparable without being in mortal danger from the 20-inch guns. Fisher predicted it would take about a decade for other navies to make enough new ships with armor thick enough and guns big enough to close that gap enough to make HMS Incomparable no longer viable.
If HMS Incomparable had a problem, it was Fisher overestimated the potential of gunnery using optical aiming; he expected accurate fire at 40,000 or more yards to be practical before the end of the 1920s, when 25,000 yards proved about the limit of accurate fire for any big-gun warship. Even with RADAR and computer assistance, the US Navy never found hitting ship-sized targets moving at common battle speeds to be practical beyond 30,000 yards. HMS Incomparable would have likely scored few to no hits at ranges where it was actually mostly safe from return fire.
Still, it would have been a major engineering achievement, pushing the limits of several fields.
I have never watched Game of Thrones but i heard that the last season (8 or 9?) was complete garbage. Jingles, will that happen with your Game of Throws videos as well when you get to that point? :)
What the heck is that “commander”??? I didn’t hear a single actual word uttered, just screaming and exclaiming!
Commander "Cap"
This is one of the benefits of adding classes of ships. I know people didn't like it when Carriers were added and absolutely threw a fit when submarines were added but the truth is that it adds to the complexity of the game. People become too attached to their ability to rack up mere numbers....they forget that the purpose of a game is to play it, and the more dynamic and complex the better.
Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory
" With great power comes great fragility"
Surprisingly, battleships are way better at hunting submarines than most destroyers, with both hydro and depth charge attack planes.
But that's WoW for you.
That was a good round
That was a Ugottabekiddinme-boat.
Akshually, Jingles, subs can only affect caps while surfaced..
Why did the three BBs in the vicinity of the enemy sub not spam their bombs? The sub could have easily been killed two or even three minutes earlier. You don’t need to see a sub to damage it
i would lose my mind if i had to listen to this guys captain for a full round
"I'm not gonna lie, they had us in the first half..."
hang on, you said no hybrids, but there is a Halford, and while she's a poor hybrid, she still is a hybrid
A hhhhh now I can go to sleep thanks jingles. 🎉😂 1:19
20 second first! Love the content Jingles and thanks for the video!
Well that cost me a few IQ points seeing that...
Morning Gnome Overlord
How to throw away a free Solo Warrior!
What tf is that thst annoying voice coming from that ship!?
I love the fact that people hate submarines, hate destroyers, hate aircraft carriers, hate all the cruiser types and hate battleships in a maritime wargame xD Maybe people should just sit down and think for a second and ask themselves what do they like ? And if they found what they like open their mouths again, because it gets really really tedious and obnoxious to hear what they hate instead of what they like. I love your video Jingles but I wanted that off my chest for a moment
aw, man. from the thumbnail I was so hoping we would see some submersibles POV 🤥
Jingles had been stuck around 650k subs forever!! What’s up RUclips!? This channel should be well above 1m at this point.
Gonna be honest this man got me into world of warships
Jingles: When Are you going to play Call to arms Gates of Hell
What's been going on with the replays lately for the videos? Looks like 10 fps lol
Seen the comment about Jingles in many a game, when it gets down to the twitchy part. No one wants that kind of fame lol.
Wonder if that Halford is screaming for vengeance? =D
IN-COM-PAR-ABLE (unable to be compared).... yet british, so.... IN-COMP-RA-BULL.... sigh
Any chance that our Salty Overlord will be playing Skull and Bones? Actually a really fun and
solid game
1 inch more to the guns and you could load heavyweight torpeedoes :)
Jingles mate, I don't get it, you recommending "Snowrunner", with out of place physics, unrealistically bumpy and yet you are missing out on GAME OF DECADE.
ruclips.net/video/aEEzDR95Wy0/видео.html
This one will sort out snowflake's from real men and women. You will either hate it or love it.
Single player champ RPG hands down, do what ever you like. Take a taste of using your hands and creativity, try it. Farmer's Life rocks so fun.
Do you realize you are calling the ship the "IncompRable? The letter "R" does not follow the "P" so it's In-Com-Par-able! Or is this another one of your typical mispronunciations like you do the Yamato?
Hybrids always made me wonder what WG was thinking. As if Battleships weren't vulnerable to fire and HE enough, lets give it a lightly armored flight deck. And when controlling your aircraft you have no control over your ship, which is likely expected to be on or near enough the front lines to make it's guns effective.
I think they could get some old players back into the game (at least for a while until they get sick of WG sht again) if they put maps like "Wake/Iwo Jima/Normandy" or similar recognizable ones in the game. But maybe thats just me.
Once it was down to the sub (and actually a couple minutes before then) - the team that was going to win was sealed. Subs are not incredibly hard to find - even with BBs. If their flights go out to 10 km - sub is pretty easy to kill (as it HAS to surface) and 10 km gives you enough room to avoid sub torps or at least most f them.
I gotta say, this guy's commander was incredibly annoying. I actually thought the yelling in the background was one of my neighbor's roosters.
almost didnt watch this video, the picture for the title showed a submarine..........thank bloody Christ it isnt a sub video
I'm going to guess the submarine ran out of air and was forced to surface. Why they weren't already half way to the north or south map border, I have no idea.
Also ... 9:30 ... East is to the right, west is to the left, so .... the Montana is in the southWEST.
The British Navy has become a laughing stock around the world! Another ship broken down even before it left port!
That was the dumbest gd thing I've seen in a long time. And I get it. I know how being the last person alive can put a lot of pressure on a player, and how that can lead to poor decision making. But gd....
"to begin with, i think"
i thought he was going to start dissing the captain the guy has in the ship 😂😂
also was flambas on this team? 🤣 "nerf_gasgone" (might have misspelled it a bit, it's hard to read on my phone)
WoWS sub players are a special breed
Naw. I'm good
I've already been convinced to not buy anything Ubisoft
I've seen blind men playing darts more accurately than this guy shoots...
Your Game of Throws series needs to start having nothing but very competently played games starting around season 6 or 7.
Poor sub seems like they were trying to set up an ambush but got caught on terrain.
It probably killed their momentum and prevented them from having time to get out and dodge.
Then the hits rolled in and the panicked lad was unable to do much but die
wow this actually made my otherwise shitty day. ty jingles :)
the sub is outta air and was forced to surface. then again he could have run away far.
Hey Captain Jingles.. :-) How do i get my hands on that awsome gun Ship... ?
This player has awful aim, jeeze. It's painful to watch.
And there I thought that you could not really compare the Incomparable. Funny that.
Is Jingles the David Attenborough of gaming? I think so 😎
Good thing Jingles wasn't a navigator. When facing North, the right is west, the left is east.
BB guns, CA speed, CL armour: a proper Lord Fisher type British BC.
classic
⚓️
A good Jingles laugh to start off the day :)
The only thing I can think of as to why the sub player did what they did was perhaps they were going for a ram.
The Des Moines was previous protagonist Nerf Gascoigne who seems to pop up in these vids a fair bit
Oh i know why the sub did that, he is ... not even good enough to be considerd a bad player, he is worse.
Incomparable's aim thru the whole game was horrible.
Simply, you can't give them brains !
I will never understand the shit that goes through someone's head when they throw like that lol.
