It really depends which version of Magneto this is? Has this one literally never killed innocent humans? If that's the case then sure. Alot of the versions however are more than happy for human children to die if he feels it's for the greater good of mutant kind.
Sentinels are a bit much but the collars makes sense you need a way to shut down and incarcerate the dangerous ones that want to cause harm.

I agree to a point, he was an advocate and defender of mutant kind for a long time, knowing his time when he was in the concentration camps it made sense, his people come first, however, he soon lost the meaning of his fight and twisted it to humans need to be exterminated and only mutants can live, charles saw both worlds and wanted to join them and this is now the view that Eric has, I really hope he's not actually dead so we see the fulfillment of his new path

Why is the writing in animated super hero shows almost always 50 times better than the garbage writing in live action ones let this make sense
Beacuse the animated ones actually follow the story arcs from the comics not just reference the story in a shot are use the characters from that run
