I mean I watched it, but for me to take a bike apart when I haven’t ridden one . I don’t know I’m gonna have to pay somebody. I’m just trying to save money for the course. Watching the videos tho I’ve learned a lot
Why didn't you use the bike's original USB port??? Doesn't work?
And to answer your only genuine question. The usb port does work. I use it for my insta 360. The battery connectors allows for the quick charge feature so your phone charges quicker. The USB does not.
@@Steveontwos Thanks !.. Don`t know.. doesn`t seems to woth the job and materials, I do prefer to use a usb splitter with the original one.
I was told by the service manager that you shouldn’t do this on a lithium battery?
I haven't had an issue with it. I turn it the quadlock on "Auto" while riding and then turn the switch off when the bike is not in use.
That’s what I know also. These bikes are very sensible and the electric part is very delicate and balanced. On the long run, the charge relay and stator will be subjects of stress and different issues might occur. That being said, I also bought the same product for my K67 and will install when the season will start. I think I’ll use the wireless charger only when needed. Will keep the smart connector on off.
@@cataavr You can use the USB port on the back of the bike and route the cable through the right side of the motorcycle... The cable that comes with quadlock is long enough... I did it on mine and never had an issue
@@brunojtii I thought the same but the problem is that my motorcycle didn’t came with the usb plug in the passenger seat. Apparently that’s an option that I forgot to ask for. Or maybe, the bikes with lithium batteries don’t come with that usb plug. Supposedly, lithium is used in racing (being so light), so there is no point in having usb plug to charge your phone during a race. Although is true that when racing you have a lot of other devices attached like data logger / telemetry sensors and other stuff that you attach to the bike.
@@cataavr Mine is a 24 M Sport and came with it, I don't recall asking for it to be added... weird
in fact you forgot one of the fittings, you should redo the side fairing fitting.
