    You can wire it in using a relay with the trigger wire going to something hot when ignition is on.
    That way you can leave the mount permanently ON and don't ever have to touch the power button again.

      @@DatboyCarl I did not find a solution where it only powers on with ignition.
      However I've had mine wired directly to the batter so it always has power even when my scooter is off BUT no problem whatsoever. Sure in theory you don't want it on always BUT in reality the draw of power is so small, the battery doesn't drain, never had an issue and I hooked it up 6 months ago. Just hook it to the battery

    Two questions: are those leather wraps on your grips or leather grips? Very cool looking. Second question, who makes your drop down mirrors?

    • @ballamoto
      @ballamoto  3 года назад

      They're leather wraps from TripmachineCo. Great for dampening the vibrations, and giving a slightly thicker grip. But they're a bit more slippery depending on your gloves.
      Those mirrors are just from Amazon actually. Just search "bar end mirror" and you should find them. There's a link on my website ballamoto.weebly dot com 👍

      @@cutsordesigns P.S. You know a wireless mouse uses batteries right?
      And you understand that for a wireless charger to be truly "wireless", it'd need a battery the size of your phone battery, and require itself to be recharged after every time it charges your phone?
      Any joking aside; until you've tried this set up, you won't understand how much more convenient it is to just jump on the bike, snap the phone on and have it charge. It's very different to fiddling with a cable on every ride.

  • @luc1ferblack
    @luc1ferblack 3 года назад

    I think you have more money than sense. Went from a discrete quadlock to a bulky one for a extra £70. could have just ran a usb cable upto the mount and bought a cheap waterproof cap for the cable. stick a little strong magnet under the mount and a small washer on the usb lead and leave it under there untill needed. The fact newer versions dont come with the usb adapter is insulting for the price

    • @ballamoto

      Ok, that's a fair reasoning for yourself. I wouldn't go as far as to say whether it's not a good choice for someone else.
