    @coachfrikki - for the strong gather, is the ball still considered in the “gather phase” of picking up your dribble when you secure it to your body? It seems like a travel if it’s considered passed the gather phase and they take an extra step

And some counters too

    • @BoardB11

    • @futurehofer1564
      @futurehofer1564 Год назад +1

      if the gap defender is a big guy, maybe a lower one will be better because it will be tougher for them to get low however against a small gap helper maybe the high gather is better because they will try to go low

      I've already done a few videos on passing: ruclips.net/p/PLKgm1MKTEsPjHTr7CpyvJmVROosEv5xjY
      Studying those will definitely improve your court vision. I've also done a breakdown on Walter Lum and Lamelo - with a lot of court vision tips.
      I would like to do more on passing, court vision and IQ but those videos don't perform nearly as well as scoring videos.

    • @CoachFrikki
      @CoachFrikki  3 года назад +5

      Walk them through it - explain that it's the exact same thing as a normal layup. And tell them it's used in every game in every league around the world.
      Doing it faster, smoother with more confidence will definitely help though. People often call "awkward" & "weird" moves travels.
