Only been running the Geolander MT G003s for a week, but I'm totally impressed with the ride quality, traction, and low sound levels. I'll be airing down and trying some rough desert stuff this weekend- anxious to see how they do. I know they're a relatively new tire model, but I've yet to see a bad review.
@@erichconnally5643 I am considering the g003 for the traction of a MT and the lower sound levels. I was running a KM² on my TJ Rubicon and at 25,000 miles, the noise level was becoming excessive. JK Gear & Gadgets. Ben, your biggest issue won't be gearing or a lift, it will be other "Jeep" channels wanting to collaborate with you as your subscriber base grows, and because you have some awesome Jeeps, and you are able to do your own work on them as well. A lot of us are refugees from some of the other "Jeep" channels, we came here because you aren't constantly shilling parts, and you and Cassie are genuine. Be careful. There ya go!
“Line up the yellow dot with the valve stem.” Finally, someone who knows how to properly position a tire when they mount a tire to the rim. It’s incredible how often tire shop installers do not, or refuse to follow that procedure. Also, how many also confirm both lateral and radial runout when they install tires? If the tire is out of round or wobbly, it does not matter how perfect the balance is, if the tire and wheel is not true, the ride will suffer. I have had balanced tires, and the ride and vibration was still bad. That was because they were still either out of round or wobbly. (It happened more than once.)
Looks so good with the 37's . Looking forward to your future upgrades to it , also looking forward to your long arm video on your JK . Until next time take care .
Finally! A video where someone mentions the offset and backspacing! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! And I dig those wheels on that Color Gladdy! I'm partial I have the same color ;p
You can determine optimum gear ratio by multiplying tire size by .12 or determine optimum tire size by dividing the gear ratio by .12, then round up or down depending on your application. For example, a Rubicon has 4.10 gears. 4.10÷.12 would equal 34.1" tires. Since it runs 33s it provides more torque. This is appropriate given what it's built to do. Upgrading to 37s would be 37x.12 equals 4.44:1 gears. You'd want 4.56s to turn the weight of the tires considering mud pack. 35s would be 4.20 gears, but the stock 4.10s would be fine for 95% of people. Non Rubicon Jeeps have 30.5" tires. This would equal a 3.66 gear ratio. They appropriately have a 3.73 gears set.
Not going to lie I’ve been watching this video to many times I’m looking for next years model to get with the diesel and trailer brake controller integrated into it. I have to tow a bigger boat. But everything about your truck is what I’m looking forward to doing. Love the show can’t wait to see more.
I watched your previous video where you took Gladiator with 35s on a muddy trail and frankly, that is as much trail as this truck can handle without some crazy expensive mods. That low departure angle is very scary. So 35s are very practical and should be enough for 99% of all adventures. Still, love your videos. You explain everything very well.
Wow, that was an awesome behind the scenes on how tires are mounted and balanced, thanks you for posting that. New rims/tires look fantastic by the way.

When mounting tires some tires don’t have the yellow or red dot to indicate high or low spots of the tire. You don’t necessarily need to line them for a perfect balance. I work at discount tire and have had tires balance out fine with and without the yellow dot. Again very educational video and some people wouldn’t know what the yellow dot means on a tire! Definitely worth a subscription to this channel!
Nice setup and video. Last year I put Yokohama Geolandar AT G015 on my 2000 4Runner and I really like them. Quiet on the road, have a good looking sidewall and they do excellent on snow covered roads. A good every day tire. These new AT's look like a nice balance to fill the gap between the G015 and a MT.
Not sure why you wouldn't add TPMS sensors to the new wheels. I did with aftermarket wheels and tires on my 2019 5th Gen RAM 1500. The truck still reads the stock tires which I run in the winter and automatically syncs with the 35's I run all summer. Sensors were $30. Works great!
Ben, I really enjoy your videos and appreciate the information you provide. I'm new to offloading and overlanding. Can you please explain the differences between suspension stages (stage 1, stage 2, stage 3, etc.) maybe that would make for an interesting video.

Another question regarding your spare tire, are you going to mount it under the bed if so do you think there will be much modding to mount there, if you did would love to see a install video. Haven’t seen any videos putting a 37” in the original spot.
Wanted to say thanks for all the info you've provided with your channel. I recently did a 2" Mopar lift with Fox shocks to my Gladiator and went with a BF Goodrich KM3 M/T. I absolutely love the tires. They look so good and are quite relatively speaking but after about a week I felt like I had some buyers remorse because I didn't realize they truly are for a vehicle meant to live off road. So I bit the bullet and got another set today and went with your Yokohama's X-A/T. I was worried I'd be in the same boat since they are so aggressive but they truly are a softer, smoother and quieter ride. Hoping to get a few MPGs back too. I put the KM3s on my original stock rims and now have a set to put on solely for the trails or camping trips. Expensive mistake but I know its for the best.
Since the JL and JT come with f.a.d. I vote that the axle shaft upgrade gets bumped up on the priority list. Great channel btw looking forward to more JK videos and can't wait to see some LJ action!

So, when are to 40" M/Ts coming? You know that's where this is going.
I see you have the new steel toe crocks 😂. Love the content.
I just got a 23 sport s diff new to Jeep life I’m diff wanting to run 37’s the sport s has 373 gears if I’m correct. Will be towing side x side and 4 wheelers. Gonna do bumpers as well I was thinking 513. And I’ll have to do a lift as well don’t quit know what I’m have to go with lol awesome build
Awesome video!
I puT 37’s on my JL a couple of weeks ago. 2 1/2 in lift and got som rubbing in the rear.
Look up the wayalife video showing you what to do about the rubbing in the rear. It's a quick fix.
How are you liking those 37’s a year later? I just put 37’s on my 2020 JLUR a couple weeks ago...
Dam that looks so good mate, the style of wheel suits the Jeep down to a T
Thanks man! i think so as well. It took me a while to find a set of wheels i really liked
What is that mount you have on the dash? That looks awesome and functional 👍🏻
Awesome video
Looks awesome!!
Jeep gladiator and wranglers awesome
How much each tire weigh ? Thanks for showing the mounting process
per the website, 77lbs
Pretty heavy for a 37 A/T
Mike D not too bad. I’d rather have a well built tire, than to deal with sidewall gashes on the trail
What's your approach and departure angles now?
what you need right now is a good suspension lift preferably a 3.0 in. suspension lift will do just fine!!!
Looking good!
Thanks 🤘
I just got a Gladiator Sport and I pull a camp trailer... I am undecided about going with a 2 or 3 inch lift? And I too LOVE THE LOOK OF THE 37s !! I am thinking 3 inch lift AND adding a heavier gear just to keep enough power to tow my 7300 lbs camper! I am hoping you have some suggestions? I am all ears
Ben, when are we getting the a glimpse of this setup off-road with the leveling kit and 37s? Looks great but wondering how it fairs on the same trails as before
