The way everything is looking on that board for the Ducks, it looks as though Anaheim will insert Sam Steel into the lineup for cap reasons. I think Steel was NHL ready last year and he’s certainly NHL ready this year. He was also the only player at the world juniors this past winter to score a point in every single game. If I’m Ducks fans, I’m excited that Steel will be in the lineup next year
I don't know. I think with the heavier time exposed him and Hampus in the playoffs. I think Fowler is our best defenseman, Manson is also consistently paired with Lindholm, unlike a rotation of different guys with Fowler. I would love to see a Lindholm-Fowler pair next year.
4 games half of which weren't remotely close isnt really a good judge of any one player IMO. I definitely think Fowler is our best dman right now, but the Ducks shouldn't move any of them. Its worth noting Lindholm is a fair bit younger than Manson and Fowler, which is easy to forget since hes been playing so long.
Anaheim's young defensemen are so much fun to watch and they are only getting better. Now only if the front office can find a way to make the offense just as good as the defense.
He wont be underpaid in time. Him and Lindholm agreed deals that kept the team under the salary cap, their next deals will be 10m+ each to "make up for it". Oh, and he's not the future, he is the present.
With a new CBA on the way and Seattle coming in by the time we have to resign them the salary cap will have gone up more than enough for it to be meaningless.
As a Ducks fan this video made me a little nervous haha couple of things: I think it’s possible Kesler gets some offensive production back. He never fully recovered from his hip surgery so maybe with the extra months off he can heal and return to form. You’re probably right about them signing a veteran defenseman, I don’t think they want Fowler being the oldest dman yet. No way they bring bieksa back though. Grant will probably get resigned, solid production on the 4th line. I don’t think most the other UFA will get resigned, too old Hard to imagine Gibson, Kase, Henrique and Montour not eating up the rest of the available salary. Who knows what happens with Ritchie. Bob Murray said he wants to change their style of play but he’s said that before so who knows if any major changes will actually happen. Great video! First time seeing your channel, definitely earned a fan :)
Kesler never fulled healed this year. Didn’t practice with the team except on game days. With an unfortunately long off season he may have a bounce back year.
I'm curious who you think has the best salary structure in the NHL. Or maybe a video on the top 3/ top 5 teams who are in the best shape going forward. I know that you did a best and worst contracts, but it would be interesting to see one that spread to teams. There are just so many variables and I'm starting to think that you can't win while your core is all on their "big boy" deals. Tampa needs to win before they have to pay Kucherov what he is actually worth, and Winnipeg, I would think needs to win while Laine and Hellebuyck are on their ELCs. Pittsburgh has Crosby and Guenzel for a steal, Nashville has Josi, Forsberg and Ardvidsson for a steal, Vegas has some bad contracts but then sooooo many high value contracts that it heavily outweighs the bad value ones. You could also say that the Jets have Wheeler and Sheifle for steals. San Jose and Washington are the only examples of teams left where basically everyone is making what they are going to make through their prime and they weren't fleeced in their contracts. And even then you could say that Washington has Carlson for a steal right now also.
I don't see them bringing back any of the UFA's upfront except Grant. They liked his production as a 4th line C. I do not see Ritchie getting much. I'm not sold on him especially after the comments by BM, at the end of the season. We may see them trying to ship Ritchie out, he's too slow and the hands just aren't there.
Jeremy B I kind of want Brown back because of his speed. That's where the nhl is going and why the Ducks got manhandled by the sharks. Ducks are playing pre 2010's hockey. Its all about speed and the Ducks need more of it
I expect a change in style of play since last year. Ryan Kesler is done putting up points, and the second line suffered from it. There will be prospects put in this line up no doubt. Getzlaf was still a point per game player this year and I expect him to be fine next year. Corey Perry needs to go somehow.
I would agree that the only way they're going out is if somebody wants them for a playoff run. However, they'd need to be playing well enough to warrant a trade and we'd have to be bad enough to let them go. Problem lies in the contracts being so big and so long, they're not even rental market players. I fully expect them all to retire as Ducks in 3-4 years.
if we offload perry, that's one of those MUST HAVE players signed long term right there, even if we keep 25% thats still 6m a year. I would guess we keep Brown and Grant as well as the "obvious" resigns if we can fit them. they were both gritty guys who were worth their money imho.
We should let go of all the UFA's and play Steel, Jones & Comtois. It's not about them replacing Getzlaf & Perry, it's about them not stagnating in the juniors/minors. Plenty of guys down in the AHL who can be given a year deal to play bottom six minuites too. Not suggesting we tank, just suggesting we need to accept it's time to evolve to the next chapter and if that means missing the playoffs, so be it. If a sweep by a poor SJ team is all that awaits, why bother? Perry's deal is awful. Nothing can be done with it or him. Getzlaf's is okay, if he's fit. Kesler's is starting to look bad, but maybe a long summer holiday will revive him. We'll be fine.
Kase is coming back for sure. Grant will probably be brought back. Richie is a 50/50 shot. Maybe Brown comes back on the cheap. I don’t see anyone else though.
The Buffalo Sabres trade their first round pick in this year's draft, the first overall pick, a 2020 third round pick, Scott Wilson and Johan Larsson to Anaheim in exchange for Anaheims first round pick in this years draft, the 21st pick overall, Corey Perry, Jakob Silfverberg and Nick Ritchie. /jk xD
Oddly enough we’re rumored to get a new jersey next season which is most likely orange

Josh Manson is a hidden gem of the league. Best derenseman on the ducks
Him and Cam are both my favorites on the team but when Lindholm is in form he’s up there with the best
Did he always have this upside to him, or did he come outta nowhere?
No he isnt, he is underrated though

And trust me, nobody here in Anaheim wants Bieksa back. He was -13 and ridiculed the management for scratching him in the playoffs.
Anaheim's young defensemen are so much fun to watch and they are only getting better. Now only if the front office can find a way to make the offense just as good as the defense.
Insane how they destroyed that core of young defenseman lmao
Rikard Rakell is the future of Anaheim, cant believe how underpaid he is. Led the team in goals and points.
He wont be underpaid in time. Him and Lindholm agreed deals that kept the team under the salary cap, their next deals will be 10m+ each to "make up for it". Oh, and he's not the future, he is the present.
Those +10M deals would guarantee that team is never gonna success...
With a new CBA on the way and Seattle coming in by the time we have to resign them the salary cap will have gone up more than enough for it to be meaningless.
Just as an update for you THG, Reto Bera left ANA/SD to play in the french league. SD's starting goalie is ANA's new 3rd

Kesler dropped 20 pounds to make it easier on his hip. Eaves is scheduled to return in mid October after tearing his Labrum (shoulder) while training.
Yay! A Ducks Video!!
BM said Eaves is on track to play again by mid-October.
furiyamu he was out of the IR within a week of diagnosis when most patients take a month.
Kesler never fulled healed this year. Didn’t practice with the team except on game days. With an unfortunately long off season he may have a bounce back year.

ducks said eaves is ready to play next year
Rakel Salas dammit you again? 🙄
RIP redwings
hard as a wings fan, but its going to be years before they are a contender again....

I would wait until next season before ruling Kesler out. He was hurt all season maybe he could get SOME of his production back.
I like the hat and jersey
The real kicker here too is I’m pretty sure Kesler, Perry and Getzlaf all have no move clauses
Yeah, the clause being nobody wants them.
jibathus I think you could move a getzlaf for sure
He's the only one with real value, but he's also the only one worth keeping. plus who'd take/need him?
jibathus maybe a team looking for that playoff piece. It would be expensive though so it’s hard to see anyone willing to try and get that deal done

nice run down

Can you do a Carolina Hurricanes moving foward video. I think you forgot lol!
ruclips.net/video/tBCjbHC6Zz0/видео.html
Should be the link to his video, Carolina was one fo the first teams he covered

That's a left handed 8
I said Perry should've been gone the same year Boudreau and Andersen were pushed out.
Cobra Kai 4 Lyfe.
eaves coming back next season
🙂

i hope they bring in ian cole
Nick Ritchie is insanely bad
That is one ugly ''8''
