This song makes me cry every time I hear him play it. Every single time I tear up, even still. I relive his heartbreak and feel it in my core because it mirrors my own. I'm now 69 years old and I'm reminded daily that old age ain't for the weak!
Was fortunate to see him in concert over thirty years ago and this song always gives me goosebumps awesome musician singing from the heart and anyone who has been hurt can relate to the emotion in his voice

I said goodbye. Who splits up and buys their ex a gift and a card? I did. Still not sure why but I did and am glad for it. I wrote one word on that card. Have never had second thoughts which makes me appreciate this song all the more.
