I remember the time after seeing part two just waiting for part three to cone out. The making two films in a series at the same time was something never seen before.
I got a little emotional at the end! Gonna have to watch rescue me now but he was the highlight of curbed for me (great show!) so I concur! Gosh I love this living icon. Great video!
Interestingly, _Family Ties_ was originally created to showcase Meredith Baxter who was just coming off another successful sitcom, but as the series progressed, Fox became the breakout star and was given an increasingly prominent role to the point that the series finale centered on his character.
I always liked Back to the Future 3, in one way Fox worked the hardest out of everyone on these films and he never once complained, fair play to him. Great video as well.
Michael j Fox is an impressive guy. Always has a likable aura around him. BTTF 3 is kind of underrated in this series. I find myself watching it more often as I get older. Thanks for watching!
BTTF 3 was terrible and should never have been made. It just felt like a movie copying other movies. I don't even remember most of it other than the scene where they copied a Fistful of dollars and the ice cube maker.
Thank you, Scotty, so VERY much for this WONDERFUL trilogy of videos about a WONDERFUL trilogy of movies! I can tell you really put A LOT of hard work and effort into them! They must have really been a GREAT labor of love! ❤️
I was ironically recommended these videos after just watching iRategamer do BttF again. Saw your AVGN retrospective, but these were really awesome! Well done! looking forward to diving more into your channel!
I really like BTTF 3. The is only so much you can do with a sequel to a classic time travel film. With the success of a few Hollywood films being turned into musicals I am not surprised the first film got turned into a musical. I wish they would turn the first Bill and Ted film into a musical.
I like BTTF 3 as well. When I was younger it was my least favorite but now that i'm an adult, I find myslef revisiting it a lot. Bill and Ted the musical? Great idea!
I always loved Michael as a kid growing up during the 90's loved his movies his acting style everything he also was in my opinion one of the hardest ever working people in showbiz I really wish him all the best in health
BTTF3 is mostly enjoyable but it unfortunately falls apart due to the 3rd act break up of Doc and Clara which just sucks all the fun out of the remainder of the film.
Okay. I’ve found a new writing and editing star. Fantastic videos. I’ve only watched the three Back to the Future videos, but I’m extremely impressed. Subscribing right now. If you keep finding topics of wide interest like this, and things you’re passionate about of course, I predict huge growth for your channel. You’re much more interesting than the majority of channels that do these types of videos. The writing is gold, and you have great delivery and great editing. Wow! Well done. Thanks for another fun video.
The Secret of My Success is by far my favorite childhood movie. I’ve seen it at least 200x. Anyone who grew up in the 1980’s and 1990’s knows that almost every American family had about a dozen VHS tapes from places like Major Video or Blockbuster that came available for purchase when they ran their course at the store. TSoMS probably cost $9.99 for my dad to buy but I got more than his moneys worth out of it. Helen Slater was so hot in that movie & Richard Jordan (RIP) was a favorite of mine from The Hunt for Red October.
Both Michael and I lost our Dads in 1990. I didn't know that until now. I was statoned in New Mexico at Kirtland AFB. My Dad lived in Maryland, so I couldn't be there for him except at the very end. I was only 20. Seems like a lifetime ago now.
Brilliant series of videos thoroughly enjoyable. One minor critique you need to learn the difference between ironic and coincidence. Ironic is whereby the actual definition is the opposite of the literal definition. For example the "Unsinkable Titanic" being lost on her maiden voyage.
I am looking forward to seeing the Back to the future musical in the U.K. in July. As moved from the U.K. to Philippines in 2020 and the only time I left the Philippines since I moved there was to go to Singapore for just under a week in January of this year I have not had the chance to go see this show. But I only hear good things about it.been looking forward to seeing this show since it was first announced back in about 2014. As I will be going back to the U.K. in July for 10 days I will be seeing the U.K. production not the USA production. I would rather see the American production and get to hang out in New York for a few days. But hey ho. Still it will be worth the trip back to the U.K.
Awww they only made $244 million? How will they ever survive! What... with the prices of Gas and food etc.... And this was back in the 80's and all. Poor little film producers. :(
@@ScottyDunnyou really shouldn’t. It’s only distracting and annoying, and takes you out of it when viewing. It’s a technique that bad content makers do to try to seem more interesting than they are.
@@RichieW90210 I can't imagine many people getting annoyed like you did though, Richie. You should make some videos on your channel, and avoid doing all the silly things I do with mine. That way you're actually doing something that has an effect, unlike your comment.
Well , this Chapter 3 is very different from the rest of 2 movies. In my opinion they should add something more for the script. Something is missing. I would add Goldie Wilson ancestor, type of hard slavery times in the Wild West and Marty somehow help him, Mad Dog Tannen should have THE SAME PALS in in the face of ancestors of- Match, Skinhead and 3D played by the same actors. Also i would add a scene in the end concluding character of Principal Strickland in 1985 when Marty is in the Jeep with Jennifer. Strickland would be gardening when McFly is driving , they could have some exchanges of phrases and stuff. Also i would add some more sci fi elements in the Wild West segment where we can see some Doc Brown inventions, sort if sci fi western like The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. (1994) TV Series Starring Bruce Campbell fighting Bill Drago gang ... I still like it, but it could be more developed and give some more scenes to do for supporting characters from previous parts, and of course of Marty to impress audience. Thank you Scotty for this new episode
You have some good pitches in there! Nice. You're right, the movie could've been more developed. It probably suffered a bit due to it being part of one draft originally. It could've gone in any number of directions. I still like it too. I'm glad you liked the episode, thank you!
I tend to disagree; having the same actors turn up all the time makes you roll your eyes. It's OTT but acceptable to have Michael play his ancestors, but we don't need the mayor and Biff's friends to be identical too
Also the 4-5 year wait for the sequels didn't help. And the close release dates of 2 and 3. I still liked both films a lot though. For Matrix 2 and 3, it was released the same year which is way too close together in my humble opinion. Better to get people's anticipation up without waiting TOO long.
This was one of the WORST sequels ever made. When seeing it, I learned what a cringefest was it. This was one of them. I give it an F. It was so unimaginative and trying to make it a scifi "western" just felt like a cheap copout.
Despite his illness, Michael J Fox is a living legend. God bless him. We love you Michael!
Absolutely.
Why would his illness erase status?
Yep
9:14 That embrace with Chris Lloyd is so heartwarming, 2 guys who share a special history with each other and love and respect each other masively
Gives me the feels too. Love that duo. Always will.
It hurts me to see that...
Chris is older yet does not look that much older than Michael...
"The Frighteners" is another one of Michael J. Fox's great movies.
Oh definitely! Such an awesomely strange one.
@@ScottyDunn Ever seen Greedy(1994)? One of his Best. Underrated Comedy Classic.
Back to the future 3 was still a financial success. It grossed $244 Million with a production budget of $40 Million.
Yep it was. Just less than the other 2.
Isn’t tht after inflation ?

That’s not Billy Gibbons, that was Dusty Hill.
I noticed that too👍

BTTF 3 is soooooo underrated. Doesn’t quite top the first for me but it beats part 2 by quite a wide margin. Perfect finale to the trilogy
This was well-edited, very informative… a great behind the scenes doc 👍 Well done, dude

Doc Hollywood! Underrated gem.

Mary Steegburgen did another great time travel movie a decade earlier called Time After Time with his first husband Malcolm McDowell.
I didn’t know they were married. Interesting. I still need to see Time After Time. I hear good things.
Good job Scotty! Always super enjoyable to watch these!

Box office takings mean nothing. BTTF III is my favourite of the three.
Just a good, unpretentious guy with zero drama.
Such a shame he couldn’t continue his fantastic acting career without Parkinson’s weighing him down.

Doc Hollywood and The Frighteners were good movies too just so sad MJF got unwell in the 90s
Im not sure if theres ever been a Superbowl ad with marty and the the Delorean and even doc but they should squeeze one in
It still feels weird that the McFlys would marry someone who looked like their great grandmother.
