Eric Stoltz has said that the script he was working from wasn't as much of a comedy as the film that came out with Michael J. Fox was. I tend to believe Stoltz in this. There was a novelization of the movie when it came out that went more into a backstory about atomic power, and was less comedic than the film. I’ve wondered in years since whether the book was based on a previous draft of the script.
I've read most of the older scripts for the movie (even the ones prior to casting anyone in any role), and they are still primarily comedy. Also, Stoltz's gimmick was that he wore green shoes rather than a down vest, and the comments made to him in 1955 were in regards to his shoes.

Using “gay” in a context where it seems like an objectively bad thing to be gay is legit homophobic. Does that mean they were coming from a place of hatred? Not necessarily, of course. I just remember Michael Bien talking about how he was a late add and how he had to wear the armour the other guy decorated. There's also one shot of the other guy in the movie. A shot where they are walking into the hive in the processing station. The first X-men also swapped out Dougray Scott for Hugh Jackman. I don't think filming had started thought.
A Nightmare On Elm Street part 2. Random stuntman in a mask as Freddy. Over half of the movie was shot before they realized they needed Robert Englund back. Roughly 2 seconds remain in the movie of the unnamed stuntman, most likely due to the practical effect, which is pretty cool.
Harvey Keitel also filmed scenes for Eyes Wide Shut but quit, and was replaced.
I know this is not a popular opinion among Future fans, but even as a big fan of the movies - I much prefer the Simpson's ride. I rode the Back To The Future ride numerous times and while the movie portion was ok, the ride vehicles were crap. They were shaky, rattly, and you could see all the other cars around you. The Simpson's ride was a huge improvement in tech. 😎
Great Scott
In regards to the BttF-ride at Universal Studios! It blows my mind, that they ever tore that down! The movies are as popular as ever, and it doesn’t get more classic than BttF :-( I really dig The Simpsons ride, but not enough to have it replace BttF! One is just way above the other, and BttF should’ve ramained (so very little classic stuff left there to begin with)
Thanks for this video, greatly enjoyed it! :-)
is there any lost media related to the video games?
Please talk about parker plays lost episodes
7:06 "Only one prediction the film nearly got right." Not a baseball fan I see.
Eric Stoltz didn't have a 'successful' career - and he really missed the opportunity of his life by not being what they wanted for BTTF.
Love this !
The flash movie of all movies mentioned Eric Stoltz in Back To The Future #RepeaseTheEricStoltzFootage

My guess: 2025 (aka next year).
I love back to the future and consume every video I see about the franchise. But I'm out on this one by 7 min mark. How to mangle the English language
Hopefully something for 40th Anniversary
Wow, it's been so long that this great movie came out. I was born in 86, a year after this came out in 85.
Eric stolz is the one that punched marty on that scene. He is still marty mcfly on that scene.
lmao at 14:15 what is the context of this. im dying.
To be honest, I don't care about Stoltz bits of BTTF. It's a masterpiece with Fox as Marty. I don't don't need to hear an interview with him. Who really cares?
Yeah, nothing against Stoltz, but there would never have been a franchise with him. Fox's energy made that movie work. 😎
Is this cope? Loads of people are intrigued just by the situation itself, and are curious about alternate cuts of the movie.
Whatever. They should have hired Judd Nelson
HAPY 39TH ANNIVERSARY BTTF PART I
He can be stolz of his career (haha)
Why are you whispering?
Oh
Eric Stolz is a really good actor and could have been good in this movie with his version ....just not Michael J Fox good . If it was more of a sci fi film Eric Stoltz would have been really good .
Other than Die Hard and Back to the Future are there any other movie series where the third movie is the best?
Revenge of the Sith.

Oh, dude, no way lol
Maybe Toy Story, depending on who you ask.
Umm..am I experiencing the Mandela effect? I saw the movie in theaters in 1985. Wasn't the end line "To be continued" always there?
I think I remember it that way in the theatrical cut too. However a few years earlier Dr Detroit had one, too, and I wasn’t sure whether that was a gag or a sincere promise of a sequel. Even though I was a kid I thought the movie was just right on its own and really didn’t want a sequel.
so just lick bait then. Same old rehash of rehashed mush.
We’ll see an AI version someday no doubt
Talk about the Mandela effect. I thought Eric Stolz was always in the movie.
Why does not wanting to be gay not age well? Not personally wanting to tske part in LGBTQIABCDEFG doesn't mean you HATE those people......
Using “gay” in a context where it seems like an objectively bad thing to be gay is legit homophobic. Does that mean they were coming from a place of hatred? Not necessarily, of course. But there’s a difference between saying something that’s inherently offensive vs “not taking part”. Also, referring to the LGBT as an exaggerated string of letters followed by calling them “those people” is not a great look, my dude. I’m not accusing you of anything, but it’s a bit of a red flag.
@@BareBandSubscription So, where do we draw the line? To show that we're accepting should we fall on our knees and fellate gay people when we see them?
If that sounds ridiculous, BLM was asking white people to kneel not so long ago.
@@BareBandSubscription PC baby, BareBand is coming to your town, PC baby, the wokest kid around. When there's something problematic, BareBand is gonna let you know. Making things fun and gender neutral everywhere you go. BareBand is a PC baby, yeah!

That’s just corny af lol
@@BareBandSubscription Describes you to a T, though. When there's something "problematic", you gotta let everybody know, making things "fun" and "gender neutral" everywhere you go.
Back to the future 3 was one of the most disappointing movie I've ever seen in a theater (even including Superman 4 and masters of the universe). It just felt like half of a movie. I remember sitting there after the credits and the lights came back on just being disappointed and confused since the first 2 were so good.
