- Lamb of God - Wake Up Dead ft. Dave Mustaine (Official Music Video)
Lamb Of God join forces with Megadeth to remake "Wake Up Dead" - available at: Lamb-of-God.lnk.to/WakeUpDead
Lamb of God vocalist D. Randall Blythe, guitarists Mark Morton and Willie Adler, bassist John Campbell and drummer Art Cruz recorded the Megadeth classic remotely and recruited the Megadeth frontman himself to feature guitar and vocals on the song. Mustaine lent his signature vocal to the track, with lead guitar work on the various solos by Lamb Of God’s own Mark Morton, as well as Megadeth’s Mustaine and Kiko Loureiro. The recording also includes vocal contributions from Megadeth members Kiko Loureiro, Dirk Verbeuren and James LoMenzo.

Smoked a great joint with Dave and chatted for 30 minutes before MTV broke down the door. Afternoon jamming watching this was amazing. Still my fave musician .
This makes me want to cry. I've been listening to Megadeth since I was 4. Lamb of God became a favorite band when I got into high school. My late brother showed them to me and I saw them live with Slayer a couple of years ago. So amazing to see these guys come together.

This is what separates Mustain from the ocean of other top tier shredders.
Totally kickass metal legends!
The fact Dave is still going hard blows my mind. What a legend!
Saw them and Lamb of God last year during the first leg of their tour. Dave looked tired during their set and I feel like their set was cut short and he didn't get around the stage much. I'm sure he's still not 100% from his fight with cancer, but he was still shredding on the guitar like it was nobody's business. It was a great show.

Thank you Lamb of God for doing this cover. And thank you megadeth for creating this utter masterpiece.
Dave is 60 and still going strong
For me mustaine has crafted the best songs from my childhood..never forget buying the first three cassettes all with in the same month with my paper route money..what a time to be a kid with all those awesome thrash albums coming out every few months…I loved them all but always had megadeth as my favorite all time..this cover is so sick and would love to see more of these collaborations…
I have been listening to so much "djent" and progressive stuff, this feels so refreshing ! Going back to where I started loving metal !
Same! Pantera and Megadeth were my favorites as a kid.
Hell years, Ozzy, megadeath, pantera, anthrax type O neg, black label....(those came to mind first) were and are the best.
Old school thrash is pretty much the only metal I like. Well, I guess there's exceptions here and there. I like Candlemass, and obviously old Sabbath, etc..But the old thrash is my favorite by miles. And some of the new thrash bands are great too!
Yooo I can relate to this so much right now lol Deathcore has been taking over the metal scene which is cool and all I dig the music but goddam it's nice to hear so seriously melodic solo's and less technical/raw screams.
Awesome! I'll walk the way with you!!!
The collab we didn't know we needed
Verdade kkk
actually we didn't, why take a Great Metal song like this & put the Cookie Monster on Vocals? LOL
But then we love it
I was born in 94 and I guess a new age metal head. This last year I've started realising how sick Megadeth is!
Them and Slayer at the top of the totem for that early metal
Big 4 must have albums Metallica Master of Puppets, Megadeth Peace Sells, Slayer Reign in Blood, Anthrax Amoung the Living
Both great bands, but the pinnacle of thrash metal is Ride the Lightning... Which Dave Mustaine had a part in writing.
@Dex000 ride the lightning is not the pinnacle of thrash. Very good album, but not the pincle of thrash. Killing Is My Business and Business Is Good is probably the pinnacle of thrash. Rust in Peace is the best technical thrash metal album. I do like ride the lightning, very easy to listen to album. But it's rock compared to what thrash is supposed to be.
I was born in 93 and I knew of Megadeth since I was out of the womb. One of the perks of having Metalhead parents🤘
You'll soon realize no one is like Megadeth. The more you search, the more you uncover how godly Dave Mustaine and the rest Megadeth was in the 80s and 90s. Every professional will tell you Dave is an alien on guitar. His ability to write lead type riffs while singing, and the temp changes with time signatures and blah blah blah, we can talk music theory all day. Bottom line is Dave Mustaine is a Legend to the Legends
@@RA-gy1ft It is not just Megadeth and dave that are unique like that. I mean I do 100% agree I have not heard one band that can play and sound exactly like Megadeth the way megadeth sounds but the same applies to Slayer and Black Sabbath/Ozzy. Yeah anyone can play like them and sound like them musically, but no one writes or sings like them.
I could also extend that list to Freddy Mercury, as without a lot of editing no one has yet been able to duplicate those voices. I feel the same way about Cliff. yeah all these bassists can sound like Cliff but no one has written music on a bass to sound like he did.
Mustaine has outdone himself, he doesn't age, but he grows. Even the vocals sound great. Bravo!!!
This truly makes you appreciate Dave's vocals

@@TinS0lder I highly doubt it.. For starters Mustaine greatly respects Adler and has nothing but good to say about the work they did together for Dystopia.. Adler won a Grammy for his work with the band..
Willie Adler is a big Megadeth fan and Peace Sells is his favourite album.. Lamb of God are one of the biggest bands to come after Megadeth and the Big 4.. The relationship is good and has been when Chris Adler was with them and is still after Chris chose to leave to focus on different things.. Lamb of God has now tours for 2 years with Megadeth.. And did so for a year with Chris playing in both bands.. Lamb of God are like Megadeths sons.. Theyve become almost family. So a cover seems more than appropriate at this point. Kiko is amazing for a person who knows guitar he knows he plays effortlessly🤘🤘
Hands down one of the greatest heavy metal songs ever written
Dave fucking slaying that solo! This was a badass treat on April fools day. Classic track well done boys!
The guitars before Dave's solo. That crunch God I can see myself stomping around that pit. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
A great band can adapt thru time, have relevance, never shy away, and never diminish their musical talents. MEGADETH is a great band!
