Lamb of God vocalist D. Randall Blythe, guitarists Mark Morton and Willie Adler, bassist John Campbell and drummer Art Cruz recorded the Megadeth classic remotely and recruited the Megadeth frontman himself to feature guitar and vocals on the song. Mustaine lent his signature vocal to the track, with lead guitar work on the various solos by Lamb Of God’s own Mark Morton, as well as Megadeth’s Mustaine and Kiko Loureiro. The recording also includes vocal contributions from Megadeth members Kiko Loureiro, Dirk Verbeuren and James LoMenzo.

I was Executive Chef at the Commodore ballroom / House of Blues . I did all the catering and riders for the bands . Megadeth came once during my 3rd year . Smoked a great joint with Dave and chatted for 30 minutes before MTV broke down the door. Afternoon jamming watching this was amazing. Still my fave musician .
Dave Mustaine has been going through a lot the last decade or so health wise and it's so great to see that he has lost NONE of his chops. The man is a legend among legends.

This makes me want to cry. I've been listening to Megadeth since I was 4. Lamb of God became a favorite band when I got into high school. My late brother showed them to me and I saw them live with Slayer a couple of years ago. So amazing to see these guys come together.

The fact Dave is still going hard blows my mind. What a legend!
Saw them and Lamb of God last year during the first leg of their tour. Dave looked tired during their set and I feel like their set was cut short and he didn't get around the stage much. I'm sure he's still not 100% from his fight with cancer, but he was still shredding on the guitar like it was nobody's business. It was a great show.

Bought killing is my business a week or 2 later. It was a 7 miles bmx bike ride to the store. Good times…insane time for music and fun in America. This version rips and is a good old meets new. imo peace sells was mustaine at his absolute peak of riff writing. i love rust but the riffs off peace sells are just fuckin EVIL dude.
Yeah it was peak megadeth, but they released so many great records and never really fell of a cliff quality wise like the rest of the big four.
Even as far back as"Killing is My Business...." absolutely no one has matched Dave Mustaines ability to compose intricate and intriguing musical compositions.
The man is pure genius.
He said that he put himself in a position of rhythm guitarist in Megadeth not to dampen his own abilities, but to set a bar high on what he demanded from the band as a whole, especially his lead guitarist.

@@trippmoore Their last one "Dystopia" had a lot of good tracks so if you haven't listened to it yet, I'd recommend to. By the way a couple of the best songs ended up as bonus tracks so not that many people know about them. Especially "Me Hate You" and "Last Dying Wish" sound like the more old school style of Megadeth.

Hell years, Ozzy, megadeath, pantera, anthrax type O neg, black label....(those came to mind first) were and are the best.
Old school thrash is pretty much the only metal I like. Well, I guess there's exceptions here and there. I like Candlemass, and obviously old Sabbath, etc..But the old thrash is my favorite by miles. And some of the new thrash bands are great too!

The riffage after the guitar solos and before the vocals come back in is still one of the most crushing things I’ve ever heard in old school metal. It’s right up there with the breakdown in the middle of Angel of Death.🤘🏻

Willie Adler is a big Megadeth fan and Peace Sells is his favourite album.. Lamb of God are one of the biggest bands to come after Megadeth and the Big 4.. The relationship is good and has been when Chris Adler was with them and is still after Chris chose to leave to focus on different things.. Lamb of God has now tours for 2 years with Megadeth.. And did so for a year with Chris playing in both bands.. Lamb of God are like Megadeths sons.. Theyve become almost family. So a cover seems more than appropriate at this point. And I'd expect nothing less than something from Willie and Chris' favourite Megadeth album.

It's two bands for the price of one, right? This song still gets me going every single time I hear it! The production here is amazing, the guitars sound punchy, tight and transparent, the bass is thick, growly and still crystal clear (listen to those first three notes of the breakdown at 2:37, it slaps like a goddamn whip, how much weight and power it adds to the guitars!) the drums sound like real drums and the player is kickass. Great leads, and the contrasting vocals add a really cool flavor. This cover just shows you that the song is absolutely timeless and still feels as fresh and unique as it did when it came out.
Exactly. I am very sad about the digital, flat 2D sound of the most "metal" albums of the last 15 years. Drums are horrible sounded almost everywhere. Metal has lost its teeth implementing the digital technologies.

The muscle memory amazes me in guys like mustaine who plays so many solos in so many songs.
Randy and Dave's vocals compliment each other so well.

I remember Megadeth opening with this song on the Clash of the Titans tour at Alpine Valley. Everyone was throwing fresh sod around and when the song was over Dave walked off stage and refused to return until the sod stopped flying. Aaaah! Good times.
I was there, I remember Dave got hit in the stomach with a sod ball and got pissed and walked off and said something about if you are all going to be assholes then FUCK YOU!

Just saw him last year and going again this year. His voice is a little more quiet but they put on one hell of a show. Im going again so i guess that says something.
This morning, without knowing this existed, I had a very very high desire to listen to my roots of metal music, some Megadeth, and later some Lamb of God, After work I found this ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE ohhh my GOD yes!

LOG keeps getting better and better... and with Dave in the picture, their legendary status just soared higher.. I was fortunate to attend a Megadeth concert with Chris Adler at the drums..
It's weird though having the band be without Adler, especially with Mustaine, as Adler recommended Megadeth's permanent drummer since he couldn't juggle between both bands.
