Examples of Using SAT Calculator Programs

I decided not to show how to use all of them because it mostly just consists of plugging in the values that you're prompted for, so you should definitely get the hang of it after just watching a couple of examples!

So on the SAT if given a problem like the first example, we wouldn't use radicals or complex numbers? We would simply plug it in algebraically?
Edit: I'm taking the PSAT Oct. 10th and I'm in advanced algebra this year and we never leave the answers as decimals, any irrational number we get is always a fraction or radical. Basically l'm just confused which one to do come the 10th.

The multiple answer choices on the PSAT will be in the form of radicals, but you can still plug it in algebraically as a way to double-check your work. Hope this helps!
