Your quilt has me thinking about one I bought years ago and the girls stole and used for a beach blanket. It's so soft but it's falling apart! My youngest is very sentimental and will not give it up. So maybe I can rescue it and put it back together - smaller but not falling apart! That pink button-up shirt is gorgeous, that fabric! Your Michelle shirt is gorgeous! What a find! With regard to skirts - you just need to wear the knee-length ones. If it hits right at your knee and you wear a shorter top just-below your waist, like an inch or so below your waist, you'll look fantastic. My daughter #3's birthday is also on the 13th (coming up!). What gems you found. Thanks for sharing them!
Hi Jen!🤗💗 Thats a great idea! Maybe I can try to save this quilt too! Thank you for the tips on wearing a skirt! I will try that.🤗 Thats so cool your #3 daughter’s birthday is the 13th too! Thank you so much Jen for creating this sewing community! Its sew much fun having other people to talk to that love sewing as much as I do!!!!💗💗💗🤗 Have a wonderful and blessed weekend!!!🤗💗🙏
Robyn that quilt is beautiful!!!! I love the colors also!!!! I like your idea about framing part of it and I look forward to seeing what you do with the rest of it. I hope your having a great week ❤
Hi Cynthia, Thank you so much! I’m excited to get back to my sewing room in a couple weeks! Right now I am watching my grandchildren while their mommy and daddy go away for their Anniversary. I am having so much fun with them, they are adorable!!!🥰💗💛 I hope you have a great week also! Thank you!🤗💗🌸
Such fun finds! I just bought a simple wooden chair at a thrift store because I didn't have one for my sewing table and was hauling in one from the living room all the time. And it wasn't even comfortable to sit in to sew. My favorite of your finds, I think, was the skirt that you'll use for a doll or granddaughter dress. So pretty! I am the same about skirts - I just can't get them to look right on me.
Hi Jacque, Thank you so much!🤗💗 Yes, I Love that skirt too. The fabrics used in it are just soooo pretty. I’m looking forward to sewing some of these projects!🥰💗 I’m out of town right now, and no sewing machine in sight, sadly. But I packed my watercolors to practice painting. It’s so relaxing for me. You have a beautiful and blessed day!💗🙏🤗🌸
I enjoy your channel. Thank you for sharing. Have you ever made a flannel blazer? I want to try and make a flannel blazer. I have a couple store bought flannel blazers. I love them. Then I saw some flannel fabric that I loved. Now to attempt my first flannel blazer.
Hi Suzie, Thank you so much!🤗💗 That makes me sew happy!🤗 I have never made a blazer before. Im glad you found fabric that you love, I hope your blazer comes out exactly what you wanted!🤗💗 Happy sewing! Have a wonderful weekend!🤗💗🌸☀️
I took all the classes Stretch n Sew held and I have that book and another pink book which was a set of classes after the book you just showed. I still have all my patterns that go with those books as well.
Hi Sewmore, What a wonderful collection you have! 🤗 I am just learning about Stretch N Sew. So they sold patterns and taught classes on them? Thank you sew much for watching!🤗💗🌸
I remember Stretch & Sew. I wish I still had all of their old books but, unfortunately, I gave them all away several years ago. I think I would consider them as being one of the original "indies", wouldn't you agree? You found a lot of nice things on your shopping spree. Great bargains! My local GoodWill has increased their prices by a couple of dollars. Have a great week-end!
Hi Deb, thank you so much!🥰💗 I found all these items at a community rummage sale. I have heard over the years people talk about Stretch N Sew but this is the first book I found about it. I am just learning about it. So sorry you don’t have your books anymore. Thank you for watching!🥰💗 Have a wonderful weekend!☀️🌸💗
Wow! What a wonderful haul. I will be watching to see how you recycle all the nice pieces. You said that you do not look good in skirts. But, that skirt is so pretty. I wondered if you could make a sun dress type dress by just redoing the waist and adding shoulder straps to make you a cute dress. Is the skirt long enough for you to do that--it would be similar to the pillowcase dresses? Where do you find your rummage sales? Goodwill? Have a wonderful weekend.
Hi JB L, Thank you so much!🤗💗 Great idea about the skirt, but I think its too small for me, I will have to measure it. I found all this stuff at a community rummage sale. Thats where I find the best deals at. Thank you , you have a wonderful weekend too!🤗💗🌸
Love the treasure you got 👍
Me too! Thank you Nancy!🤗🙏🩷🌸
