Extremely amazed each time on the mix. The hours of time taken, the obvious passion to nailing it each time: obvious. Now I’m ready for 1987, the best year of my life (graduates from HS), and some of the best music of the 80s.
Have you seen 1982? He sang PYT and there are samples of Thriller, Beat It and Billie Jean throughout. Bad in 1987 and Dangerous in 1991, and some in the 70s as well.
This is the best one!!! From the best year in 80s music, so no surprise! Every element is in exactly the perfect place. You Can Call Me Al was the perfect choice to anchor the medley. But also, Billy Joel counting us in from A Matter of Trust was a nice touch. Janet Jackson's "Gimme a beat!" from Nasty, too.
My life is officially fulfilled. I need nothing more than these medleys. I am updating my will to include these be played at my memorial service when I die.
These are SO good! I watched every single one so far. Please do more. I cannot wait for 1988... the year I graduated high school. It will be interesting to see how you layer Terrence Trent D'Arby with Def Leppard and Debbie Gibson!
1986 is my birthyear (37 right now) and am absolutely thrilled with this fantastic mashup. Your channel is a great time machine. You're a talented individual 👏
Bruce Hornsby and the Range - The Way It Is Paul Simon - You Can Call Me Al Peter Gabriel - Sledgehammer Run-DMC - It's Tricky Steve Winwood - Higher Love Stan Bush - The Touch Genesis - Invisible Touch OMD - If You Leave Samantha Fox - Touch Me (I Want Your Body) Bon Jovi - Livin' On A Prayer The Human League - Human Cyndi Lauper - True Colors Europe - The Final Countdown Cutting Crew - I Just Died In Your Arms Madonna - Papa Don't Preach Genesis - Land of Confusion Genesis - Tonight, Tonight, Tonight Duran Duran - Notorious Janet Jackson - When I Think Of You Janet Jackson - Control Prince - Kiss New Order - Bizarre Love Triangle Metallica - Master Of Puppets Lionel Richie - Dancing On The Ceiling The Bangles - Walk Like An Egyptian Run-DMC - Walk This Way ft. Aerosmith Janet Jackson - Nasty Berlin - Take My Breath Away The Bangles - Manic Monday Beastie Boys - (You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (to Party!) Peter Gabriel - Big Time
Too awesome. It's 2021 and nothing today even compares. Building a time machine, going back to 1986. You can keep 2020, 2021, have fun with it. See you in 1986
Okay, I've now watched all of these, and this one is by far the best. The only way it could be improved is if "The Touch" was _really_ in it, not just that one line. The _only_ way to improve it.
Just noticed the Linn 9000 drum beat from the beginning of Howard Jones' "No One is to Blame" (Phil Collins produced version) on the fadeout of this mix.
This was really good!! I enjoyed it alot!! I even recognized quite a few songs in this mashup and a couple of them I was just listening to earlier!! Keep up the excellent work!!! 👍🎵
keep them coming , this is making me so happy , you are truly a master at your craft ... hopefully it will go up to 2000 :) Thanks for your talent and dedication
1986 was the year when the produce company, Dole, best known for their bananas and pineapples, introduces their now-iconic "sun" logo, which incorporates an image of the sun shining through the negative space in the letter "o" of the Dole wordmark. The Dole logo later received a slight modification in 2018, when a leaf outline was added to the 1986 Dole logo... The new 1986 Dole produce logo, with its abstract image of the sun, unified all their foods and drinks including their fruit and vegetable products and replaced the previous Dole logo, which was used since 1957, which had the letter "o" in Dole resemble a pineapple, complete with a leafy crown on top...
I'm a child of the 80's and the music is hollowed ground to me I do not like when artists cover 80's music that being said I love this, it's very impressive well done.
How do I give you money to keep these year mash ups coming?!! I need them to properly watch my entire life flash before my eyes before the Corona kills me
To the Hood Internet creators, out of curiosity, are there any outtakes, b-sides or extended mixes for any of the 1979-1989 mixes that you would be willing to release? If so, it would be much appreciated. As well, why not a behind the scenes mini documentary showing us how you decide what to include/exclude and how you compile and edit a year for both the audio and video? I'd love to see your collaborative thought processes intermix and intermingle. Finally, I am aware that you are doing the 1990s. Will you then perhaps do 1978-1968? A listener, viewer, subscriber can dream. Love your work.

@@juliodiaz2141 Excellent! I've updated it.
Starting and ending with that horn riff from “You Can Call Me Al” both sets the tone early and allows it to finish triumphantly. A brilliant choice.
They are all good but this one is just next level amazing.
Totally agree. What a mix.

I think this is my favorite of the bunch. Absolutely seamless and completely fun. "She told me to walk like an Egyptian." Gawjus.
This is really great.

These are SO good! I watched every single one so far. Please do more. I cannot wait for 1988... the year I graduated high school. It will be interesting to see how you layer Terrence Trent D'Arby with Def Leppard and Debbie Gibson!
I'm 89 and was thinking the same in regards to which songs will be chosen. can't wait!
1986 is my birthyear (37 right now) and am absolutely thrilled with this fantastic mashup.
Your channel is a great time machine. You're a talented individual 👏
Awesome 80s songs mix..what a great trip down memory lane!
Nothing puts a smile on my face better than the trumpets on You Can Call Me Al.... so naturally, I LOVED the first minute
And mixed with "It's Tricky" is pure gold.
Love this. Would love to see one from 1989 too, as it was the year I graduated from HS. I'll be watching to see how many more come out!!

As an 80s fan I'm impressed. I think it'd be fun to do a mashup of 80s TV themes. Thanks so much for this
This will forever be my favorite
The Madonna actress wardrobe malfunction was no big deal back then. Sad how times have changed. Nice throwback!
You mean Janet Jackson?
i love this , the best 80´s mashup ever ( so much memories)
Yep - this is the one! In the summer of 1986 I was 15. I spent a week at my grandparents' house, and they had MTV!
This is SO good!!! Brought back a lot of memories.
Just noticed the Linn 9000 drum beat from the beginning of Howard Jones' "No One is to Blame" (Phil Collins produced version) on the fadeout of this mix.
This claps hard...thanks for existing
Just realized the "Walk" section is backed by....Nu Shooz! Subtle!
I love this! I listened to it because it was only three minutes long and then I wished it was longer!
I would love this as a Spotify playlist!!!!
Same
Yes ! I would put this on my running Playlist! Or cycling, rollerblading, cooking, working, EVERYTHING! 😂
This one is my favorite. But they are all incredible. Hope you guys do the 90's next. Will share for sure!
Perfect.. Best of all so far! Plus I graduated in '86!
It would be cool to have a Spotify playlist for each year of all the songs used to make the mashup.
Thank you so much for these mash ups! Can’t wait for 1987.
Oh man, in tears...This was so on...
I absolutely love this ♥️. Thank you so much for your hard work in compiling it.... It's 3 minutes of pure dance and music happiness 😍💞💃🎶🕺🎵
This is one of my favorites. Checking in 5/25/20 - Covid19 Era.
Nice work. Really good job.
These mixes are brilliant- best I’ve heard 👍🏼
Fookin spectacular mate, amazing job
I'm a child of the 80's and the music is hollowed ground to me I do not like when artists cover 80's music that being said I love this, it's very impressive well done.
This is brilliant! I love the Transformers song in there!
Nicely done!
Sounds much like Q105's Saturday Night Dance Party, here in Tampa. But better!
(Yes, I still listen to my radio on Saturday nights).
Listening to the radio and calling in, the original social network!
What’s a... radio? You must be old. :-)
@@WoodyPoolson Right!? Sitting there with your fingers on pause and record, waiting for your song to play on the Boom box!!!
@@tommycarroll270 Not as old 👴 as you!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@FlickrFriedGizzard I feel like I should comment.
Damn! This one was really good. The 'Touch' section in particular was awesome.
Amazing work! So many favorites and memories! :)
Awesome kudos for the use of the Transformers Movie song!
I screamed when I saw that!!
i love these so much
Representing Transformers The Movie. You had me at The Touch. 😂
Damn this gave me all sorts of flash backs.
This was great!
Beyond good. Excellent work!
The year I was born! This is incredible! Sry impressive! Had to watch it cuz my birthday is tomorrow! Thank you! 😊
So, in addition to having made a great mix, thank you for _not_ showing the nightmare-inducing puppets from Land of Confusion! 😱
Great work as usual! Could you please do 1977 and 1978 too?
They did :)
clearly the funnest mix of the series!
Very Very Good
Good job! Can't wait for you to reach the 90s
1:30 You know you'\'re dealing with a true artist when they use the nipple clip
EPIC!!! Fantastic work!
This is the best one yet : )
The Mashup of You Can Call Me Al and It's Tricky has no right to go this hard
I just found this published on Digg.com and holycrap, this is sooooooo good!
I didn't know Digg still existed. I thought they were bought and subsumed into one of those other news aggregators.
Please a whole mashup with just the songs from the first minute!
Because everyone here craves for that juicy megamix goodness, i'll have a suggestion
search Top 2000 mashup or Bart Arens. U're welcome.
I personally think 86 had the best 80ies music for the decade. 😎
Awesome montage!
Massive, constant, whole-body chills from 2:26-3:00. Never mind ... the whole way through.
You do great work...would love to get audio tracks of your mashups! 🤘🏻
This is awesome!
Subbed! Definitely enjoyed these
Master of Puppets backing up The Final Countdown is sublime.
Is there a playable audio version that I may purchase?
I feel like this is the best mashup. 😍
That was so intense
Beautiful!!!
These are awesome and amazing!!!
Only you my friend 😉👍... only you lol! Epic!
Love the coming together of all the touch-themed songs.
god damn this slaps so hard!!!
We saw the Genesis "Invisible Touch" tour in Malaga, Spain in 1986.
Wonderfull ! Even omd is there !
Yep I was rapt to see them make the cut :)
YES!!! One more to add to my Mixtape collection!!
So good!
The 80's where the best!!!
You are a genius
