This is our most popular video ever, and the nature of this angry comments section will tell you why so many people struggle with IELTS. Here’s what the angry comments reveal about common misconceptions or mistakes in the IELTS: 1. There is no ‘correct’ answer to a Part 1 question, as these questions are designed to assess communication skills rather than factual accuracy. Commenting that she is ‘wrong’ shows a lack of understanding of how the test is marked. 2. Failing to understand other people’s views demonstrates a lack of critical thinking and creativity. Without these skills, passing any test that involves communication is challenging. 3. Getting angry and taking the time to comment on a video suggests a potentially unproductive use of one’s time and energy. These are finite resources that you’ll need to pass any test.
Living in Asian countries for a few decades enabled me to understand exactly what she meant. Offering water always means room temperature water, neither hot nor cold or else they would state it as such.
In South India we offer Water first as a sign of hospitality. Later we ask their preferences of whether Coffee or Tea. Most of our guests would be settled with either a coffee or tea. And then later we invite them to join us for the meal of that moment ( breakfast if the guest arrived in the morning, lunch if it was noon and dinner if it was evening)

i think thats because you thinks in your mother tongue and it takes time to translate your idea into english, i have also made this mistake too. I think you shoud try to practice thinking english, maybe try to explain your idea in English
I like the way she kept using simple vocab and phrases to maintain the natural flow of her speech!!! And she also used the grammar so smooth for her performance. This deserves band 8.5
Hi there, we'd be delighted to help you. We have a range of course options which are suitable for your needs. Send us an email so we can discuss the options available to you.
No body offers fanta coco cola we offer lassie or butttermilk sharbath or drinks made from citrus fruits fruit juices hot masala milk etc the list is so long so much of variety we have
In south we first offer water without them asking. Then if it is summer the choices would be buttermilk/lemon juice. Otherwise, Tea /coffee with biscuits, murukku. Offer a meal based on the time of the day they arrived.
Thanks for introducing me to the content of IELTS teaching. This is a field that absolutely fascinates me. I love helping others to improve their English.
If the guest is in a hurry (like someone who is visiting for wedding card distribution) we offer lemon juice or any other fruit juice like tender coconut. If the guests had some time to chit chat we would offer them tea or coffee with some snacks and banana. Water is mostly commonly offered 1st
Coke and Fanta is not offered when someone comes to your home in India, firstly we offer water. Then tea is made or some sort of cold drink depending on time of day and/ or weather.
She is the owner or the centre manager and the other person is the external/ native expert. Demo through a mock session. She has an office chair with support. He is sitting on a regular one. She is not a candidate.
As beginners we should focus on her vocabulary and way she react these types of questions. For an example, in a serious war if soldier focus his attention to enemy's foods and drinks rather than main target he will miss opportunity to win
Ohh sweets is for special guest..! I used to feel bad when someone offer me sweets because we don't like sweets and sees it as a parent of diabetic😂.. worst poison in a sweet cover😅😅. We drink tea without sugar😊
He specified that when the guest come for a dinner so it will be even better to chose other options like jeera and salt water with little bit of lemon (i don't know about other's but it is common in my house because this drink will enhance the hungerness and also reduces the acidic level in the stomach so he/she could enjoy their dinner peacefully)or simply water because it's common and it will quench their thirst as they travelled from somewhere to reach the destination.
Actually, we( in Bengal)used to offer milk or milk cream, puffed rice, beaten rice, handmade sweets of coconut and dates jaggery. But British period impacted on our economy and culture both which replaced all these food and introduced tea - biscuit😅. And now we think, tea is our culture of hospitality. I'm interested to know about the traditional food of hospitality of other parts of India😊😊( before British period)
Tamil people who from southern India normally offer buttermilk as soft drink..India is big and believe no body offer coca cola and Pepsi...silly but yet well spoken girl
in our country, they give 6.5 or 7 points if they speak like this, for experience,I deliberately found mock questions and memorized answers equal to 9, and I spoke them naturally, chatgpt or online Mock tests gave me 9 marks for this speech but in our state mock i got 6.5 for this same speech, It's unfair, isn't it?😢
Cocoa cola, fanta etc wont b served as cold drinks in most of south india ( india) atleast. It can b cold normal plain water, juices, shakes, lemon juices. Dont say india in general😢
Soda isn't quite the norm in a people that almost always love its foods and drinks freshly made - unless you meet a lazy host, which is not rare these days. Also, nothing beats a cool glass of water on a sunny Indian day.
When we invite people for meal we don't usually offer anything before food because offer something before meals sounds like you don't want them to eat more😂

@@dhruvgarg593 i don’t think so, there’s no subjective view in her opinion or any autocorrection in the whole sentence that she said
We first offer water rather than hot drink or colddrink 😂
The answer doesn't matter as long as we have good communication skills.

@@Bharatiya12321 Glad to know

Earlier in summer season we serve lemonade which is mixture of lemons plus sugar plus water, now it is replaced by soft drinks .
Now again it is shifting towards lemonade
I struggle with lack of vocabulary 😭😭😭, I usually waste like 4 - 8 seconds to find an accurate word to express a really good idea

Lemonade is FANCY? 🤯
Buttermilk, fresh fruit juice , Hot/ cold Badam milk ...
When I am asked what would you prefer cold or hot drink
My answer is always this
“Give me a cold drink while you prepare tea”
I drink apple juice, carrot juice, orange juice. Or I make morsels of cherries, strawberries, raspberries.
When we invite people for meal we don't usually offer anything before food because offer something before meals sounds like you don't want them to eat more😂
Completely wrong..
We always offer Tea.. no matter what.
Who is interviewing who here again!!???😅
Lemonade is not fancy though!
We used to ask would you like to have some water
I never knew Lemonade is a fancy drink.
Drinking water is mandatory in India when you visit someone's home. Then con tea, coffee, colddrink..
In summer, first we offer cold drinks then after 15 min we serve tea with pakode.
Am I the only one who first offers water!
Homemade lemon juice without soda too
How do I get sample questions for all the categories of test.
