Woah. I just you at the top of the leaderboard on Reddit. You’re a legend man. I’m so happy you have a youtube when I copy and pasted your name Georgia Jim in YT and we can learn from you about you, who you are. I’m so excited to learn from you because I’m new.
Great first part Jim!! Been looking forward to this! Can't wait for more!! Thanks for taking the time to do this! I think instructional videos like this can help everyone!
Excellent intro , sir . As a noob I was going to put off learning to pin my own locks until very much later in my locksport journey , but now I see it's not as mysterious / complicated as I had imagined .
@@georgiajim2260 I’ve been trying the way you talk about holding my pick, and Wow what a huge difference in the Feedback, and my pin status in the lock! Thanks so much for sharing some of the Rudiments with us!
Love the video! I got the Covert Instruments practice lock and I love it! I also like the Sparrows Progressive Locks. I bought their core trainers and re-cored the progressive locks to different keyways and I really am enjoying them!
@georgiajim2260 You're welcome! The more you share the more we learn. We'll just keep watching and appreciating every video you make brother! The detail you put into these make it easy to understand for all levels of pickers.
I absolutely 💯 love what u do and now this 😊very cool of you to take the time to do this and I will definitely be tuning in just to see the wizard teach hid secrets ❤❤
Great intorduction to lockpicking, Jim! I like the cutaway examples combined with normal picking. The explanation you gave on what to look for when lifting pins and setting pins is exactly what newbies will need.
@@georgiajim2260 to be honest it's a great refresher. I wasn't picking any locks for the last two days and I disappointed myself today by not being able to pick any locks, cause I totally lost my senses for picking. This video was a great reminder on what to do. So, now I bounced back and I'm back in the game!
Shit,.. listening to your intro list of achievements I feel like a complete noob now 🤣 Cool stuff definitely a series I want to watch. I bet I still can learn a lot even on the beginners advices :D keep up the great work Jim 🙌
Very good lesson. This is good for both beginners and as a refresher for intermediates. Jim: the cutawaway lock you use looks very well made . I have been looking for one like it. Would you mind telling us where you purchased it from. So far I have been let down by what I have purchased. We all look forward to your upcoming videos in this series. THANKS!!!! 😃
Great job Jim. I think the best part was the discussion on tension. That is lacking in most beginner videos. You mentioned that you lay your middle finger along your pick (so do I), do you get pinched or callused on that finger?
Do you have a locksport meet group in Georgia? I'm looking for places to get hands-on tips and advice. I am an absolute white belt and have only picked clear or cutaway locks. Im in middle Georgia
Not currently but I’d eventually like to try and get something put together. I’m in middle Georgia also, you can shoot me an email if you’re interested and we can talk further. Email is in my about section.
Its easy to think there is no need for another how to video but I am going to find it interesting to see your take on stuff plus i remember when I first started I watched so many different versions and learned something different from every one, couldn't get enough. Looking forward to some of the more intermediate stuff as there is a lot of stuff I will pick up on I am sure. Thanks for taking the time
So great to see you do this series. You are covering the fundamentals and making future experienced pickers. Good job! 😀
Thanks man, hopefully I can help new people avoid the mistakes I made and find what works for them faster.
cool educational video.
I watched it with interest and am now looking forward to the second part. ))👍👍
Great to hear

That’s great to here. A lot of this stuff can seem intimidating but with the correct tools it’s really not that bad.
Thanks man really appreciate your insite and knowledge

I got this on ebay from fl-lock. The cuts are very well done and included two keys with different bitting, key pins, standard and security pins.
I want to learn more with Jim!
Back of the class mister!
Great tutorial!
