I was at that show in CP when we was just kids. We walked around back of the stage, and watched their reflections in the mylar sheeting they had for reflecting the stage lights, until Sheaffer security told us to move on. Shit was heavy.
Beautiful unplugged version of one of King Crimson's best songs ever, Wetton's singing voice is on top form as always and mega props to Jobson's amazing playing and handling the Robert Fripp guitar parts on piano
What an occasion! In red light. The Red line up never performed this song live, but this is almost just as good. Strange fact that Wetton's voice sounds just the same 40 years later!
I was able to meet John and Eddie on a cruise in 2013. I have a high quality recording of Fallen Angel from the boat if you would like it. Massive loss. RIP
Just incredible and fantastic...I consider myself fortunate to have seen King Crimson, U. K. and its reunion in their prime will alive. Their fusion genre of music dominates and haunts my memories...all in the greatest of ways...THEY created "prog" and I am always playing their music in my mind if not on any media player....
Red is one of Crimson's hell of an album I bought a fresh copy coming out of the grill and loved it in mid-1974 from the Wherehouse Records in Santa Monica,Ca.
I didn't know Eddie Jobson ever did any singing. He's got a nice voice and does a good job as a backup singer. Nice acoustic version all around with his piano and John Wetton's lead vocals.
Tears of joy at the birth of a brother Never alone from that time Sixteen Years through knife fights and danger Strangely why his life not mine West side skyline crying Fallen angel dying Risk a life to make a dime Lifetimes spent on the streets of a city Make us the people we are Switchblade stings in one tenth of a moment Better get back to the car Snow white side streets of cold New York City Stained with his blood it all went wrong Sick and tired blue wicked and wild God only knows for how long Fallen angel Fallen angel West side skyline Crying for an angel dying Life expiring in the city Fallen angel...
One of my most favorite songs...I'll take what I can get, but it is a shame it couldn't have been the original ....gang! But egos are a son of a bitch...especially when it comes to geniuses. Well done, regardless. John Wetton rules.
Wetton & band came to México City year 2000 , what an experience , we were so fortunate , they played RED , STARLESS , with a perfect sound
Eddie Jobson never got the success and appreciation he deserved. And RIP, Mr. Wetton.
That voice!!!
One of the greatest.

Jobson is an incredible musician!

One of hundreds of videos we have produced John was special.
I was at that Central Park show in 1974. Epic.
I was at the brothel on 56th Street.
Was there too.
What an occasion! In red light.

Not gone while we remember him. A giant...

Over the decades I've come to realize that Red is the best Crimson album!
Wonderful!

This here is a revelation indeed.
Check out Eddie's solo album called The Green Album with his band Zink. He sings on the whole LP. It's phenomenal!
@@TMAMJ I've checked out a few tracks on youtube and, yeah, they sound pretty good. Thanks for the recommendation.
Love this unplugged version ❤️
i love this song😭🤣💕 masterpiece🤣😍🎵
Tears of joy at the birth of a brother
Never alone from that time
Sixteen Years through knife fights and danger
Strangely why his life not mine
West side skyline crying
Fallen angel dying
Risk a life to make a dime
Lifetimes spent on the streets of a city
Make us the people we are
Switchblade stings in one tenth of a moment
Better get back to the car
Snow white side streets of cold New York City
Stained with his blood it all went wrong
Sick and tired blue wicked and wild
God only knows for how long
Fallen angel
Fallen angel
West side skyline
Crying for an angel dying
Life expiring in the city
Fallen angel...
Thank you!!
Yes, thank you for the lyrics.
So cool.
