    A really easy way I found out how to work harden round wire is to twist it. You can put it in a drill or a pair of safety wire twisting pliers and just give it a few turns.

    This is very nice, I have a couple sweaters with no buttons, this will work nicely. It looks like (if rounded end) it could work as a hair clasp also. Thank you and Happy Holidays to you.

      The bail pliers I have are 4mm, 6mm and 8mm. I did leave a link in the description to a pair on Amazon. They have 5-6 different sizes. :)
