ACS-64s will still be around for long distance trains unless they find a replacement for them on those trains, but there’s still plenty of life in them so I doubt a full replacement is near.

Yes they will definitely run in the future. Every engines or coaches they bring out they have to test them so this way it won't be no foolishness and no macanical problems.
