Because we all know he could be there because of his dad power, even worse, he could be there Because he was a "lamb" that Lakers need to sacrificed so lebron will stay. Lebron is a cruel, because he definitely know that this move will generate a lot of hate from his haters and even someone who's not, will eventually hating on bronny because of this move, why? Because lebron gave haters a logical argument to hating on him and bronny, there's no way you can look me in the eyes and tell me this is ain't nepotism. As for bronny he is a fool to accept this, why?, here's a thing, for us peasant, we want to play in NBA because of money, fame and the pride for playing in one of the best league in the world, but for bronny, I'm sure he's doing this for the pride only, he's doing this for a statement that he played in NBA, the achievement that not every basketball player can have in their careers, but now what? He can't have that anymore, why? Because we all know that he is a nepo-baby, all the achievement he got before, and after he's in the NBA will be stain because of what he did to get in NBA, he will be remember as "lebron's nepo-baby". Even if he actually deserve to be in the league, people will not remember that, so his main goal to proudly said he his an NBA player, will not be a thing anymore because we know how he got there. Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating on bronny, I kinda like him actually, he's mature for his age, he knows how handle the media, he's that privilege kid who's not bragging about what his family have and actually fun to be friend with. But he needs to do something about how to fix his career, I don't know how, because to be honest, imo his reputation as a player is already broken the moment he got into the Lakers as a "sacrificed lamb" for his dad's contract.
@@Zett76 yeah, I'm not a big fan of lebron too, but like I said I have no problem with bronny, he seems chill, I think I can even say that he has better "attitude" than his dad in his age.
If Bronny James is being compared to his father, LeBron James, why not compare him to LeBron at the same age, when LeBron first started in high school and college? In conclusion, don't compare Bronny now to LeBron today-compare them both at the start of their careers in high school, college, and their first seasons in the NBA.
Lebron was putting up numbers in high school and first few years in Cleveland. There is no comparison between father and son. And let's remember that Lebron went straight to the league in 2003. No college.
I understand him completely! I myself am the son of a soccer player and a coach, but my father and I never got together on the field, because he pushed me more than the others (as a kid, you can't explain it to yourself)! For this reason, I started playing basketball in addition to football, which it later developed into an even greater desire to play! But it's true that Brony is the son of a legend and running puts 100 times more pressure on him! Let the boy play and don't constantly compare him to his father's achievements! That's the charm of the game of basketball, not in measuring who is bigger
Giannis had 2 brothers in the NBA who's only contribution was to convert gatorade to urine. Giannis even got one of them a shoe deal. But somehow when it was Bronny, everyone was all of a sudden a paragon of honor, and the protector of justice. Nepotism has no place in our society! 😂
Yeah but those bros has shown things, Thanasis put up some good numbers in Gleague and made some good contracts internationally, being a very good defender. Kostas is very tall, played in the Lakers, now he's in the euroleague champions as a 3rd option. Broni certainly wouldn't get a spot in euroleague, but he got one in Lakers? That's laughable
If his daddy didn’t open his mouth and just let him stand on his own then it would be a little different. He’s always going to catch hate because his father hyped him up.
I enjoy basketball, never played organized but I keep up Id say with 50-60% of the news. This dude pulled up the first round pick of Bronnys class and I said "Who tf is that" thats how much theyre talking about Bronny,
You should compare Bronny to other rookes. Jalen Hood-Schifino is in his 2nd yr w Lakers. This preseason he scored 27 pts in 6 games/Bronny scored 25. Jalen got 19 mpg to Bronny's 14 mpg. Last yr in preseason Jalen as a rookie avg 3.5 ppg in preseason and shot FG 17.9% (Bronny avg 4.2 ppg & shot FG 24.32%).
From a marketing perspective it's gold...fans will come and see them together Lakers aren't winning anything If he averages 8 points a game I'll be shocked But this is about marketing and keeping Lebron happy 😮
Everyone is talking bout “what do you expect from the 55th pick?”, the real question is “what do you expect from a rookie making 7mill?” Stop talking about him being a second round pick, talk about the money he is getting for being ass
The scrutiny is warranted. This bum should not be in the NBA. Kids that went through the grind in college and didn’t get drafted. This is a joke. 🤡🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀.
What do you mean, NBA is promoting nepotism as the face of the league. They are breaking new ground for all those sub par players out there with wealthy powerful parents.
It's nepotism pure and simple. Not a single Euroleague team would be interested in signing Bronny James. In fact, I doubt any top league team in China or Japan would want him. Can't blame Bronny himself, but this kind of stuff makes people hate the NBA.
Ita going to take the Mamba mentality for the kid to sustain his career. Hope he s willing to work 3 times a day on his game. No substitute for hard work. But then again when it didnt happen at the colege level, I doubt it will happen now.
If I was the GM of another team, I would have drafted him early to fk the lakers, then signed him to a BS contract and left him to rot somewhere in the D leagues for a laugh👍
Big facts 👍 i am a true diehard Lakers fan since 69 an he straight up sanitation trash 🗑️🗑️ him an his dad Le bumm james have destroyed my Lakers organization Kobe and the late doctor buss are rolling over in their graves true facts!!!!
Also when lakers lose this year, Lebron and le media will blame Bronny not being ready and JJ redicks inexperience as a new coach and not lebrons lake of effort on d!
I see it as a business decision. It is not fair to others whom could’ve had that position, but realistically a 55th position doesn’t typically have much impact, so the publicity for fans and keep Lebron happy seems to be the motivation. The fact that his son could even stand on his own at the 55th position is very commendable on his part. I don’t see this as a pattern in the NBA, it is simply too competitive. So all things considered, other than the 8 mil contract, I’d say it was a good decision
The NBA is entertainment the most important thing is to sell more tickets, Bronny would bring more money to the league than any other pick this year imo
He’s very athletic, he could end up in a Malik monk type of role and development. His ceiling is a sixth man and I think he’ll crush that after a few years of development, once he’s 22 or 23 he’ll start having his break out moments as a sixth man
It's tempting to say that LeBron James Jr, better known as Bronny James, earned a spot on an NBA team simply because of his famous dad. It may not be unusual for a relative of a current or former player in a prominent pro-sports league to also: - be drafted by a team in such a league, with in late-June Tij Iginla, son of Hall-of-Fame inductee Jarome Iginla, having been drafted by the Utah Hockey Club at 6th overall - play in that league, with: -- Vlad Guerrero Jr (MLB), Tyler Bertuzzi, Cal Foote, Jake DeBrusk, Nick Foligno and Max Domi (NHLers except Vladdy Jr) having already played quite a few games in the same respective sports leagues as relatives born during a different generation, with Tyler Bertuzzi having followed his uncle Todd, but the others having followed their dads (Vlad Guerrero Sr, Adam Foote, Sportsnet broadcaster Lou DeBrusk, Mike Foligno and Tie Domi) -- Nolan Foote, Luke Hughes and Marcus Foligno having each followed at least one respective brother at getting to play for an NHL team (of Cal Foote, Quinn Hughes and Nick Foligno) -- Sandy Alomar Jr and brother Roberto having followed their dad Sandy (Santos) Sr as MLB players I’d yet to hear about a son of an existing CFL, MLB, MLS, NBA, NFL or NHL player start playing in the same league as his dad before the drafting by the Lakers of Bronny James. How long Bronny lasts in the NBA remains TBD but should he be waived or the team for which, by then he is under contract doesn’t exercise its option on him, it may be he’ll have to find another team for which to play and end up instead, to even have a chance of making similar money, having to play in an overseas basketball league. it may be he ends up playing well enough that after his rookie scale contract has ended, an NBA team will offer him another contract. At this point it’s too soon to say whether Bronny will play well enough to earn a second contract although: - I wish him all the best in his basketball career - it’s been: - way more common for players young enough to sign NHL entry-level contracts that take them to restricted free agency, but don’t allow them to exercise arbitration rights at the end, to be given qualifying offers - by contrast quite common for pending RFAs who, conditional upon having received qualifying offers at the end of their contracts, have the opportunity to exercise arbitration rights, but are instead not given qualifying offers, with Keith Petruzzelli, whose only contract so far with an NHL team has been with the Leafs, having not received a QO and with it TBD if another NHL team will offer him a contract
Life is not fair. Never was and never will be. Bronny was drafted and signed because of his father. That's fine with me. Lebron has done so much for the NBA and basketball in general. If he wants to play with his son - let him have his moment. It's a good business for league and Lakers as well.
I want him to be good, I really do. I feel if he does jump shot work out for certain hours of the day and hit the weight room he could be a solid pg. if he also works on his mental game and reading how others play and figuring out what jump shot is best for him and getting good movement I truly believe he could be good. He just got drafted way to early, he just needs to develop, there’s way to much expectation for someone his size compared to lebron. Lebron is taller, stronger, more smart, just overall better. He just seems like he’s a person that once he develops properly he could definitely be something. Them jump shot work outs and the weight room are a must tho
Thanas got drafted by the New York Knicks for all the clowns that are comparing him to bronny an the Greek freak had nothing to do with that sorry the bucks ended up with him true facts big facts!!!
It's crazy how you say we'll he's just a 55th pick what do you expect. What 55th pick got 8 million on a guaranteed contract!? So no he's not just like any other 55th pick!
The short of it. Bronny has never showed he was a special nba talent. He never dominated high school. He never dominated college. Look up a random nba player, like Kevin McCullar Jr. Who went after him. That dude at least average double digits on college. If LeBron wanted him to go pro, he should have done the lamelo route. he should have gone international. Develop his skills away from scrutiny and the constant media attention and then declare Then, enter the draft and see what happens.

Man you blaming the kid for just wanting to play in the NBA? Keep the negativity with his grown ass attention seeker dad 😂
Tbf: I hate Lebron for this (and 500 other reasons). Not his son.
@@Zett76 yeah, I'm not a big fan of lebron too, but like I said I have no problem with bronny, he seems chill, I think I can even say that he has better "attitude" than his dad in his age.
Sorry. Dad. I respect your desire to play with me, but no, I can't do this..
I'd be amazed if he can turn it up during the reg season and start hitting some of those 3s.
No college.
What’s bad about it is he takes a spot from someone who deserves it!
Bronny's jersey says James Jr what if Bryce James joined would it be James Jr Jr
no, bronny’s real name is lebron
It would just say James
Where’s your cape? Cuz you’re definitely a bron super fan
Lakers would have drafted EJ JOHNSON instead at least he can play MAN TO MAN 😂
Lebron’s gotta change his jersey name to James Sr.
Imagine the butterfly effect this pick will have in year's time.
Off numbers basically anyone could do 14 ppg in highschool
LeGM should try to recruit Zaire Wade while he's at it............
The headshot challenges are going be harder with the new movement
No one labeled him a king he labeled himself a king prove himself wrong also if you gonna tell it then tell then Bih
Some team should have picked Bronny and then blackmailed the Lakers and Lebron🤣
Yall getting too creative with these insults like
Nobody pretends they are good though. The Lakers pretended developing Bronny would be a selling point to a coach.
Browny has Dealt with pressure his whole life He's Good!!!
Back when Steph was addressed as “Seth Curry’s brother” 😂 pretty sure Bronny will be same “Lebron’s son” ahaha
RUclips has a "every RUclipsr uses the same headline" problem
What’s with the lakers and DEI hires …. First Luke Walton now bronny James …
Tickets will sell....that's all that matters.
If his daddy didn’t open his mouth and just let him stand on his own then it would be a little different. He’s always going to catch hate because his father hyped him up.
If his Dad retired, his career is over too. He is not a NBA Player...
Lonzo ball was talked about way more than Marquelle fultz
Lonzo was second pick though
I wish my daddy was a famous athlete, so I could play pretend like I'm a basketball player :D
This is on par with Will Smith and Jayden Smith.
This is bad REAL BAD. Can't wait to see both on defense together. From 6'4 to 6'1 hilarious.
"there's no crying/whining in basketball" cant have father and son whining
Ngl that wwe line will live forever
A *insert name* problem.
I'm sure everybody clicking this video doesn't need to know the history of his high school career.
From a marketing perspective it's gold...fans will come and see them together
Lakers aren't winning anything
If he averages 8 points a game I'll be shocked
But this is about marketing and keeping Lebron happy 😮
Everyone is talking bout “what do you expect from the 55th pick?”, the real question is “what do you expect from a rookie making 7mill?” Stop talking about him being a second round pick, talk about the money he is getting for being ass
You forgot all about Markel Fultz. They destroyed that kids sole 😂
Ypu should make a video of Yuki Kawamura the 5'8'' japanese Guard
The scrutiny is warranted. This bum should not be in the NBA. Kids that went through the grind in college and didn’t get drafted. This is a joke. 🤡🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀.
If we’re going to talk about nepotism let’s talk about it in those owners boxes too.
STILL BETTER THAN JORBUM son sniffing white powder
Aaron Wiggins? Kyle Guy? Jay Scrubb? AI generated energy lmao
😂😂😂
What do you mean, NBA is promoting nepotism as the face of the league. They are breaking new ground for all those sub par players out there with wealthy powerful parents.
The laker’s will regret thiz trust me.🤘🏾👌🏾 🚩.
Who would have ever thought that the son of one of the greatest players would get a lot of press?
Give bro a couple years and he will be a solid role player
💯💯💯💯💯
I dun think so
Nope. No chance in hell
@@dennisetorma729okay tell me how
@@dennisetorma729bro last year they had him in top 10 draft pick
It's nepotism pure and simple. Not a single Euroleague team would be interested in signing Bronny James. In fact, I doubt any top league team in China or Japan would want him. Can't blame Bronny himself, but this kind of stuff makes people hate the NBA.
Bronny will be fine since his dad will be helping him and keep improving his game
If his name was John Smith …. I’m sry but John smiths not getting drafted
Go B!!!!! Cheering for him
First father/son duo to record 8 turnovers in a game.
I mean, you said the problem. The guaranteed contract for a second rounder.
He took the spot from a kid who worked just as hard and doesnt have the resources. LeBrons ego baffles me.
This would annoy me but the kid is just so damn likeable
I see it as a business decision. It is not fair to others whom could’ve had that position, but realistically a 55th position doesn’t typically have much impact, so the publicity for fans and keep Lebron happy seems to be the motivation. The fact that his son could even stand on his own at the 55th position is very commendable on his part. I don’t see this as a pattern in the NBA, it is simply too competitive. So all things considered, other than the 8 mil contract, I’d say it was a good decision
Nothing on this world is fair!
The NBA is entertainment the most important thing is to sell more tickets, Bronny would bring more money to the league than any other pick this year imo
Bronny draft pick has worked out exactly as planned. Bron stays in LA and exposure is massive. A great pick for the 55th spot
millions of dollars at his disposal, he only had to practice to earn his way in. Couldn't even do that. Sad.
He’s very athletic, he could end up in a Malik monk type of role and development. His ceiling is a sixth man and I think he’ll crush that after a few years of development, once he’s 22 or 23 he’ll start having his break out moments as a sixth man
Malik went to Kentucky 😒
7ppg, as a rookie.
No way nepo baby will come even close.
(Altough he will get A LOT of passes from his father 😁)
Bro put some respek on Scola and Patty Muckets
It's tempting to say that LeBron James Jr, better known as Bronny James, earned a spot on an NBA team simply because of his famous dad. It may not be unusual for a relative of a current or former player in a prominent pro-sports league to also:
- be drafted by a team in such a league, with in late-June Tij Iginla, son of Hall-of-Fame inductee Jarome Iginla, having been drafted by the Utah Hockey Club at 6th overall
- play in that league, with:
-- Vlad Guerrero Jr (MLB), Tyler Bertuzzi, Cal Foote, Jake DeBrusk, Nick Foligno and Max Domi (NHLers except Vladdy Jr) having already played quite a few games in the same respective sports leagues as relatives born during a different generation, with Tyler Bertuzzi having followed his uncle Todd, but the others having followed their dads (Vlad Guerrero Sr, Adam Foote, Sportsnet broadcaster Lou DeBrusk, Mike Foligno and Tie Domi)
-- Nolan Foote, Luke Hughes and Marcus Foligno having each followed at least one respective brother at getting to play for an NHL team (of Cal Foote, Quinn Hughes and Nick Foligno)
-- Sandy Alomar Jr and brother Roberto having followed their dad Sandy (Santos) Sr as MLB players
I’d yet to hear about a son of an existing CFL, MLB, MLS, NBA, NFL or NHL player start playing in the same league as his dad before the drafting by the Lakers of Bronny James. At this point it’s too soon to say whether Bronny will play well enough to earn a second contract although:
- I wish him all the best in his basketball career
- it’s been:
- way more common for players young enough to sign NHL entry-level contracts that take them to restricted free agency, but don’t allow them to exercise arbitration rights at the end, to be given qualifying offers
- by contrast quite common for pending RFAs who, conditional upon having received qualifying offers at the end of their contracts, have the opportunity to exercise arbitration rights, but are instead not given qualifying offers, with Keith Petruzzelli, whose only contract so far with an NHL team has been with the Leafs, having not received a QO and with it TBD if another NHL team will offer him a contract
I think first round pick for him would be unfair but the 55 pick is fair and he can be worth if in the future
I have 0 ball knowledge tho
If he manages to score 10 threes for the entire season, that would be a huge overachievement on his part.
Life is not fair. Never was and never will be. Bronny was drafted and signed because of his father. That's fine with me. Lebron has done so much for the NBA and basketball in general. If he wants to play with his son - let him have his moment. It's a good business for league and Lakers as well.
Nepotism at its finest
As long as he manages to keep his hairline I'd say his career will be fine.
We'll see... a few greats were counted out, did the work and got amazing. Tom Brady in the NFL and Steph Curry were relatively late bloomers.
Dude having 24/7 access to Lebron James is a big factor
I want him to be good, I really do. I feel if he does jump shot work out for certain hours of the day and hit the weight room he could be a solid pg. if he also works on his mental game and reading how others play and figuring out what jump shot is best for him and getting good movement I truly believe he could be good. He just got drafted way to early, he just needs to develop, there’s way to much expectation for someone his size compared to lebron. Lebron is taller, stronger, more smart, just overall better. He just seems like he’s a person that once he develops properly he could definitely be something. Them jump shot work outs and the weight room are a must tho
Thanasis will now have a rival.
Thanas got drafted by the New York Knicks for all the clowns that are comparing him to bronny an the Greek freak had nothing to do with that sorry the bucks ended up with him true facts big facts!!!
He plays defense most players don't im rooting for ya kid
It's crazy how you say we'll he's just a 55th pick what do you expect. What 55th pick got 8 million on a guaranteed contract!? So no he's not just like any other 55th pick!
The short of it. Bronny has never showed he was a special nba talent. He never dominated high school. He never dominated college. Look up a random nba player, like Kevin McCullar Jr. Who went after him. That dude at least average double digits on college.
If LeBron wanted him to go pro, he should have done the lamelo route. he should have gone international. Develop his skills away from scrutiny and the constant media attention and then declare
Then, enter the draft and see what happens.
