This commentary is just incredible. Jaw dropping in fact. Every single person who has been mentioned in the episode is culpable for a catalogue of omissions of such seriousness that they should all have been in the dock…management, medical staff, outside experts…all of them. Not one single one of them has a conscience or a backbone. Whether Letby intentionally harmed babies or not, the conditions in which she was working was undoubtedly toxic.
A very biased account. No mention at all of all the experts who feel the Lucy Letby case is a travesty of justice, no mention at all of WHY they feel this way. Only comments to the effect that she is guilty. No concerns about inconsistency of Jayaram's unreliable accounts of events. You haven't even got his name spelt correctly on the cover of your podcast. Third rate journalism.
This is just the coverage of the inquiry into the unit, it's not specifically about Letby although obviously she's a significant part of it. I get what you're saying but this podcast has never claimed to be about anything other than reporting on what comes up in the inquiry and they specifically said it is not about whether she's guilty or not - that's already been decided in court
What did he say to Lucy after the event with baby K? Why didn’t he question her on why she was standing there doing nothing? Why didn’t he have words about what she should have done? Why didn’t he talk to her manager about his concerns about her competence in this area. Because it DIDNT HAPPEN ?? 🤔 Jayaram talks about her as if she was a sinister ghost in the distance. But if it had been a real encounter there would have been conversation after. Jayaram is a lying toad and the inquiry don’t care.
If you saw someone harming a baby you’d challenge them there and then and secure a serious talk with superiors about what happened asap. Surely? I just don’t get why anyone bought this story…
@@Green-Knight22-d8y He didn't actually catch her, it was only virtually. Credit where credit is due, he virtually challenged her, virtually secured a serious talk with superiors, he even went above and beyond his duty and virtually called the police.
Possibly it did happen but had nothing to do with Lucy Letby. Only two people know what possibly happened that night and there are 6 minutes unaccounted for as Jayaram's account of that time just does not add up. And the missing notes for the clinical file just make it even worse. I don't understand how she was ever convicted of Baby K when there is so much wrong here.
I'm a manager in the health care arena and the police should have been involved as soon as their were any concerns. It's murder!! Any manager would be entirely out of their depth investigating such a sequence of events. However, raw sewage in the sinks how was the place not closed.
Yes, and on a previous occasion in COCH exactly this happened. There was no big fuss, no scenes, no one got punished for whistleblowing and there was no adverse publicity to the hospital. Furthermore the police were pleased to be called as they didn't want the hospital to be doing their own investigations on stuff like this.
@@CeliaPicton-oy1oc You are correct. Who would do that? The early events in that entire situation does not make sense to those of us who happen to exhibit just a little bit more common sense. Not saying education is a bad thing. However, it only takes a person so far in life. The rest is based on observations and painful mistakes along the way.
Maybe I have missed it, but I have yet to hear any of these doctors explain WHY they were suspicious of Lucy Letby. Is it solely the fact of her being on duty? If there were other reasons that raised these doctors concerns it would be important to know. As yet I ve yet to hear any clear reason other than she was on duty. Maybe I missed the other reasons being discussed
Exactly. They must know that "correlation does not mean causation" and that she was on shift with sick babies a lot, etc. Sometimes I wonder if they saw/knew something that hasn't been made public.
Does the thought not cross anyone else's mind, that had he not made all the mistakes he admits to, the babies wouldn't have died, and he wouldn't need to invent an imaginary baby murdering serial killer?

Absolutely - A fiction has been created while poor Lucy spends her life in jail. there is so much wrong with this case, you would have to be blind, or had both your eyes gouged out, not to see it. Let's hope Mark McDonald, her new lawyer can get her out. As someone said the other day she should be given £5,000,000 compensation and given her job back if she wants it
My previous comment has been removed maybe because it was considered libellous against Jayaram. His evidence is self serving and unreliable. Letby was accused based on schoolboy errors in statistical reasoning and convicted on the opinion of an arrogant and unqualified fool Dewi Evans. The truth is coming for all of them. Genuine experts are examining the evidence impartially and it is now emerging as surely as night follows day
The catalogue of mistakes are overwhelming.People who suspected that did nothing or those that feel certain yet also did nothing. They have blood on their hands.
Is it possible that Dr Jayaram didn't like being told what to do (drop the Lucy Letby obsession) by authority figures and had to push back by getting the police involved.
@liggjasolsen I actually watched his body language during interviews and heard a lot of the court transcripts. I do not watch news. If ever he was a Dr at my hospital I'd refuse treatment

Oh, he first became concerned after Baby A? This was straight after the bag was changed. Lucy, herself, also wondered if the bag had caused the collapse - it happened so suddenly. Well, that is curious.
He says LL could have deliberately have closed one of the drains in Baby H's chest? around 20.00 And he suddenly comes up with this. Oh, and he tells this to Dr Breary - does seem he is proactive in these conversations. He says "Lucy Letby" so often in recounting this. And he's pointing the finger at Lucy so much, it's like an obsession with him. He seems to know far too much about what was (possibly) happening when these babies collapsed. This is really suspicious to me. What does he know that he is not saying? Or is he telling on himself?
