Because you don’t have a clue what umps endure with players like Bryce the baby Harper , Dave bell, Puig …mutter out there on the field. You couldn’t handle it @user
I love when the announcers get indignant. They have no idea what is being said down there, or what has been said previously. 90% of the time a guy gets run because he's been talking all game, has been asked to stop, then has been warned to stop, and still keeps on going. It is a rare ejection where a player or manager is ejected without preamble, and that's almost always extreme cases with some short fuses thrown in. I'm not saying umpires are right 100% of the time (paging Hunter Wendelstedt...) but it's irritating to hear homer announcers lose their minds when one of their guys gets run. And just so everybody knows: The guidelines for player behavior and the criteria for ejection are established by MLB, and the umpires are told to enforce it. It's not like they roll out of bed looking to do this. Except maybe for Joe West. That dude was pretty trigger happy. It's a pain in the ass to do it. Contrary to popular belief, they would much rather be part of the background.
Excellent post except for the “ dude” reference. Joe West paid his dues and had no interest in coddling petulant children. He also bought about $250,000 in drinks for fellow umpires. He’s a man’s man, and certainly not “ dude.”
Pitcher AND Catcher thrown out! That was awesome!
How funny would it have been if he just started ejecting everybody who even looked at him?
@@XXelpollodiabloXX That would rule!
A pitch is not a play. You are better off turning the audio off. I watch with no audio.
Absolutely outstanding.
@@XXelpollodiabloXXthe ejections were for good and sufficient reason.
Do part two
Harper was a prick as a travel ball player. He was very good at playing baseball, and very bad at being a man.
I'm so surprised that Bryce Harper got ejected 21 times.
Why would you stand in front of the catcher when you know the batter and the pitcher are ready to start the play
