Going vertical like that is very risky. You bleed your balls empty of energy and the p38 could easily stall you out. P38 managed his energy poorly. He attacked you at equal energy states. Really all you can do is hope your boom and zoomer is missing a frontal lobe. That’s why turnfighters aren’t as competitive as energy fighters.
Yes but people in energy fighter will often get baited into a turn fight because they see this slow plane and they can get over that it keeps out turning them and keeps getting away, then they just make mistake and it's all over. But yes patient good Boom and Zoomer is almost untouchable
@@GamingWithJollyRoger fr.... good energy fighter pilots are literally untouchable. few days ago i was flyin out the p51 (again) and i met a full squad of yak 3s and pyorremyrskys. they climbed to 20k ft and just sniped everyone. talk about op planes XD i cant even touch them, p51 climb rate is piss poor
