I'm glad I could help Mike! Did you lower your RSR as well? The model looks so much better and more aggressive in its lowered stance. Good luck with your other builds and mods!
@@CraftedBricks I will be lowering it yes once I’ve completed the Ferrari build all of the Technics I have will receive mods and additional parts etc (so I can just do one bulk order of parts) I think Lego made them high for the playability but as you I display mine so the lower stance will 100% be better.

Hi again Steven, the suspension on my Bugatti model is a bit different due to me building JB70's version of the model. But I did find the suspension on the front still 'sticks'. Swapping out the 3L blue pin in the control arm assembly for a light tan frictionless pin did help (but did not fully fix it), see here: ruclips.net/video/1qWy5Uygv5A/видео.html

Oh yes I think you will be happy with the lowered Porsche! And yes I definitely will buy the new large scale Ferrari at some point. I'm trying to better 'manage' my Lego spending at the moment, it's all gotten so expensive. I also still have to build my Sian! Have fun modding!

Hi Jang, so good to hear that you've lowered your RSR. Another satisfied Lego enthusiast! There's a link in the description of the video to a EuroBricks forum topic for this model. There are lots of great ideas there for modifying the headlights. : )
Hi there, you don't need to lower the large scale orange Porsche. I do have an older video on building a modified version of that set (#42056), you can see it here: ruclips.net/video/clQCWTpaY-c/видео.html
Hey crafted, just wanted to ask what exactly steps 3 and 5 are asking you to do in the suspension lowering? Is it asking you to push the axle to the right in step 3 then to the left in step 5? Thanks for the video mate
Yes that's exactly right, the designer is asking you to shift the axle over to the right in step 3 so that you can fit the assembly in step 4. And then in step 5 the designer is asking you to shift the axle to the left up through the assembly. It's been 2 years since I looked at this! But from memory I recommend you double up on the assemblies placed in step 4 so that you have one either side and use a 4L axle. I hope this makes things clear!
I wouldn't say this mod 'damages' the springs, it does compress and keep them compressed though. So if you plan on taking apart the model and re-using the springs for some other build in the future then perhaps this isn't the mod for you. I'm not aware of other lowering mods, but perhaps having a look over at Eurobricks may help - there could be other mods people have posted for this model. All the best!
Hi Jang, I only just saw this comment. Yes you most definitely can lower the model, very easily actually, after you have already built it. Cheers, Simon
Hi CJWarr3n - yes you can do that if you like. But I went with using the 2L pins with axle approach as otherwise you can see the ends of the exposed 2L pins with the stop bush through the gaps in the roof at the front near the Porsche sticker if you push them through. You could of course hide the ends with some 1x1 round beams if you like but this is fiddly to do if you have already assembled the model. The great thing about Lego is there are lots of different parts and ways to tackle any problem or mod your set!
I just bought this set and am planning on using it as a display piece. Can't I just put in some weight to compress the springs instead of doing this mod?
You would have put a lot of weight on it to lower it, and what would you use? ...the mod is incredibly easy to do and you only need a handful of parts. Have a look at the instructions provided by the guy who did this mod and you will see how easy it is, all the best with your build!
Have you forgot to put the part no. 63869 in your part list in the description for lowering the car? Instead of doubling up on the front I just used one of the part no. 32291 for the back
Thanks Jake, that's one of the lowering mod parts for the rear. I've added it into my list now. Re using part 32291 for the back, sure, there's always many ways to achieve a similar result with different Lego parts. Nicely done!
Great video and thoroughly explained! But would you be able to provide any insight on how to modify the headlights or any instructions to do so? This would be highly appreciated :)
Hi Charles - at the end of the video I mention that there are a lot of people over at the Eurobricks Forum who have done headlight mods for this set. See the link to the forum post on Eurobricks dedicated to this set in the description of this video. I think you'll see several great ideas on how to mod the headlights there! : )
Hi Wim - did you download the instructions from Rebrickable? It's a very easy mod to do, everything you need to know is covered in the designer's instructions on how to lower the model. Let me know how you go!
You'd have to figure out how to compress the springs using something like wire? I'm not sure, it's up to you. The parts you need (have a look at the Rebrickable page I link to in the video description) are very common and can be found on BrickLink or even in most Technic Lego sets. Good luck!
Hi Harrison - no not for this model. But I am gearing up to modify and shoot a video on the larger Porsche GT3 RS set : ) I'm just waiting on parts to arrive + to get some time.
Nice video again...but I still get the idea that the front wheels aren't centered in the wheel arch, and I mean from front to back..the in front is bigger, one bushing should do the trick...if I build this set again i will try it out and of course I'll send you the results... maybe I'll build one with minimal suspension and a low stance.... success with the next video
Hello there, I'm sorry something as complex as modding a Technic set can't be done remotely. I recommend you have a look at the Eurobricks form to see if someone has posted up information about what you want to do. Try here first: www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/162092-42083-bugatti-chiron-mods-and-improvements/
I am almost done building and am trying to fix an issue. The issue is when the rear wheel or tire spins it scrapes other pieces can u help or will I have to re take apart the whole thing
Hi Uchiha, It's a bit hard to help without being able to see your model or say a photo of it. I assume the issue happens after you have lowered the model? Can you see the parts that the rear wheels are scraping against? For my model there's no scraping at all.
Just another thought, instead of buying the parts, is it possible to completely cut the springs from the suspension or remove the spring. That way there’s no force pushing the car upwards?
Hi Parsa, yes I think that could be possible. And someone else commented that they were going to try the same thing. I would worry however that I was going botch up my parts and possibly not get the result I wanted. Luckily the parts needed for the lowering mod are very common and not expensive at all.
"you need to buy these parts on bricklink" *laughs in giant tub of spare bionicle parts* seriously though, thank you for this! I was disappointed in the look of the wheels until now!
No problem Bijan, even a year later I still look at my modified model and love how the lowered version looks. It's a simple but highly effective mod to do. Good luck finding the parts you need in your giant tub of Bionicle parts!
I have just obtained the model and ordered the parts that you recomend from Britlink. Are there also modifications to the rear suspension necessary in order to lower the car?
Hi Bruce - the instructions from RB-instructions cover compressing/lowering the suspension for both the front and rear axles. So yes both the front and rear suspension will be modified. It's a very simple mod but makes this model look so much better!
Hi Claudio - you will need to order the parts from BrickLink. There is link to BrickLink in the description of the video. And on the Inventory tab on the modification page on Rebrickable it shows you the parts you will need to have or buy to lower the model.
Hi Mr Durva - checkout the note I put in the comments section of this video. If there is a problem with the link you'll need to send the mod designer a message on Rebrickable to ask him to fix his site. I don't have any control over it unfortunately so I can't help.
@@mrdurva9532 the designer seems pretty responsive when I've messaged him when I was making this video. He's based in Germany. I believe he wants to have his instructions on his own site so that he can showcase his other MOCs and Mods, I understand it. But it would have been better if he'd have gone for a normal publish on Rebrickable for this free mod. I hope he get's back to you soon!
Hi David - per my note in the description of the video please contact the designer of the lowering mod via Rebrickable if there's any issues with his site or the download link. He'll get the link fixed, he seems very friendly and willing to help.
Hi Tyson - I'm assuming this is for the lowered model? I don't recall having that issue, but to be fair I just have my model on display in a cabinet, I don't play with it. Can you see what the rear wheels are connecting with? Maybe the body work or chassis on you model needs some adjustment?
Hi scorpionjb4ever - I've covered this before in another comment reply. If you remove the 1x1 round white beam parts and simply push the 2L black pins with the stop bushes in, the ends of those pins are visible through the roof at the front which looks odd. You could in theory fiddle around and put the white 1x1 round white beam parts on the ends of those black pins in the center area of the roof to cover them up, but this is difficult to do when the model is already assembled. It's easier I think to use the alternate pins I've suggested. The great thing about Lego though is that you can solve a problem many different ways!
I just finished building my set, and I think you're needlessly overcomplicating the roof mod. All you need to do is 1) remove the toggle joint from step 466 and 2) move the outer white part from 467 forward one block onto that red axle. Then you can simply remove the rest of the subassembly from step 467. No extra parts needed.
Hi turboenvy, I see where you are going with your take on the mod. Sure that is a valid option! But doing this way may mean that the line of the 19M flex rod that gives that curve to the roof and A-pillar may look a bit off. That said the great thing about modding Lego sets is that there are always multiple ways to tackle a problem and you are free to mod your set in any way you want to!
not sure if anyone else gets this, but when i go to the magenta cloud download link it says hat the link already expired... does anyone now why this is?
Hi rock3t-a5ylum - I've contacted Remo (the designer (RB-instructions) on Rebrickable to let him know, he should have it back up soon, I hope. I've also put a note on the description of this video recommending to contact the designer via Rebrickable if they have a future issue with downloading the instructions from his site. Thanks for the heads-up!
I'm not one to crap on anyones parade but i found an even better way to modify the roof to get rid of the gap, no extra parts necessary and no parts removed from their original location, I believe it to be a better, sleeker outcome.
Hi GK - the great thing about our Lego hobby is that there are always multiple ways to mod and improve sets and it's often up to personal taste. Do you have a video or photos published online of your alternate solution?
About > under the Details section, click on 'View Email Address' > click the Re-captcha then you'll see my email. I just don't want to publish my email address on comments. Or yes sure you can message me on Instagram if you like, no worries.
Hi Peter - what do you mean by this and can I help you? BrickLink is in English. I think you mean RB-Instructions site where he hosts his mod instructions. Yes he is German and that site is German. If viewing his site via Google Chome right click on the page and select to Translate to English/or your language. Hi, is there anyway that I could do the lowering mod without the extra part? It's kinda hard to find lego spare parts here.
You'd have to figure out how to compress the springs using something like wire? I'm not sure, it's up to you. The parts you need (have a look at the Rebrickable page I link to in the video description) are very common and can be found on BrickLink or even in most Technic Lego sets. Good luck!
Will you be doing any other modifications to this model
Hi Harrison - no not for this model. But I am gearing up to modify and shoot a video on the larger Porsche GT3 RS set : ) I'm just waiting on parts to arrive + to get some time.
That sounds great
the car is real rsr isn’t low this means the lowering is turning it into the normal road going one with the rsr bodykit
i will admit it dose look nice low but the car is raised irl
Meh it looks great lowered! I hope you try the mod out Layton I think you'll like it 🙂
Nice video again...but I still get the idea that the front wheels aren't centered in the wheel arch, and I mean from front to back..the in front is bigger, one bushing should do the trick...if I build this set again i will try it out and of course I'll send you the results... maybe I'll build one with minimal suspension and a low stance.... success with the next video
Thanks Fred - good luck with your modding efforts! I'm going to leave my model as it is now, I've too much other work and models to focus on. : )
@@CraftedBricks I know....I have the Ferrari, the McLaren...the code reader...the claas...and another few🤪
Can you help me fix my Bugatti chiron? I want to remove the slip gear and basically end up with the one that the sian have. Please
Hello there, I'm sorry something as complex as modding a Technic set can't be done remotely. I recommend you have a look at the Eurobricks form to see if someone has posted up information about what you want to do. Try here first: www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/162092-42083-bugatti-chiron-mods-and-improvements/
Anyone know how to fix the steering? Probably one of the worse in a Technic set.
@@CraftedBricks yeah what’s the best way of contact that o can send it
My contact details are in the About section of my Channel.
@@CraftedBricks ok
@@CraftedBricks I just checked and don’t see it where else can I find it
Just another thought, instead of buying the parts, is it possible to completely cut the springs from the suspension or remove the spring.
"you need to buy these parts on bricklink"
*laughs in giant tub of spare bionicle parts*
seriously though, thank you for this! I was disappointed in the look of the wheels until now!
No problem Bijan, even a year later I still look at my modified model and love how the lowered version looks. It's a simple but highly effective mod to do. Good luck finding the parts you need in your giant tub of Bionicle parts!
what about the lights? they need a mod too then its very nice!
Hi Michael, did you watch the conclusion of the video? I talk about where you can find ideas/mods for the head lights!
So do it still have substation when lowered?
I think you are asking if the suspension has travel after it is lowered. No it does not. Have a look at 1:56 in the video.
It's a very simple mod but makes this model look so much better!
having the same issue how i can get this parts ?
Hi Claudio - you will need to order the parts from BrickLink. There is link to BrickLink in the description of the video. And on the Inventory tab on the modification page on Rebrickable it shows you the parts you will need to have or buy to lower the model.
I went to the link to get the instructions and parts needed but it's giving me an expired link error
Hi Mr Durva - checkout the note I put in the comments section of this video. If there is a problem with the link you'll need to send the mod designer a message on Rebrickable to ask him to fix his site. I don't have any control over it unfortunately so I can't help.
@@CraftedBricks I've tried and unfortunately it doesn't work for my region so I guess I will have to message the user and hopefully get a response
The magenta link has expired so the PDF with the instructions to do this mod has gone.
Hi David - per my note in the description of the video please contact the designer of the lowering mod via Rebrickable if there's any issues with his site or the download link. He'll get the link fixed, he seems very friendly and willing to help.
dose work
Am I the only one who has problems with the rear wheels rubbing when you push it backwards?
Hi Tyson - I'm assuming this is for the lowered model? I don't recall having that issue, but to be fair I just have my model on display in a cabinet, I don't play with it. Can you see what the rear wheels are connecting with? Maybe the body work or chassis on you model needs some adjustment?
step 467 u just cant take the round whitr thing out and push inside the black pin no need to replace. and white round things u use in blue pins
@@CraftedBricks yes but i added 2 extra white tound parts. So looks great now
Sounds good!
@@CraftedBricks nice to see i could help
I'm not one to crap on anyones parade but i found an even better way to modify the roof to get rid of the gap, no extra parts necessary and no parts removed from their original location, I believe it to be a better, sleeker outcome.
Hi GK - the great thing about our Lego hobby is that there are always multiple ways to mod and improve sets and it's often up to personal taste. Do you have a video or photos published online of your alternate solution?
@@CraftedBricks Not yet but is there an easy way I could send them to you?

Brick link is in German
Hi Peter - what do you mean by this and can I help you? BrickLink is in English. I think you mean RB-Instructions site where he hosts his mod instructions. Yes he is German and that site is German. If viewing his site via Google Chome right click on the page and select to Translate to English/or your language. But this is not really needed - just click on the bottom link to download the PDF instructions.
