    They were both unbelievably talented i love how he supported her success,I'm so spiritually touched by her.
    Their music will live on long after we're gone too,real music 🎶

    I would be so interested on hear from Ravi himself about where he was during this interview and what was going on within him talking about his late father as a child.

    huge Alice Coltrane fan here----as much as i understand and respect her praise of John, i wish she would have left that shadow and instead focused on her own work after he died----which was SPECTACULAR itself.

      Ditto. How fortunate I was as a teen to have discovered her somehow around 1970 when you never heard her played on jazz programs on radio; they only played John. I didn't read music magazines and don't even know if they talked about her much. But her music touched me on a much deeper level than John's. Can't imagine what my life would have been like without Alice.

    She was in so much pain after his passing. She went straight to G-d and gave her everything in love. Alice with her complete lack of self interest became the best ever.

    Her propensity was for spiritual jazz which coltrane touched on but was not the leader in... She's too humble!
