- After figuring out the beta of one of the hardest climbs in the Flatanger cave together with Adam Ondra last year, Jakob is now back in Norway trying to grab the first ascent of this king line. Stay tuned and watch him live when he is trying to grab the first ascent of this monster of a climb.

Crazy world we live in when a climber in the middle of nowhere trying an outdoor project has better live streams than the IFSC
I miss the banal banter and the camera cuts to the crowd just as the climber gets into the crux. /s
Outdoor is just so much cooler.
It could be kind of a game changer for climbing content if this becomes a thing.
@@nicolaskirsch4032 Will Bosi changed the game when he livestreamed his first few sessions on Burden of Dreams. This just confirms that it is a thing.😀
Great attempt. And the live streams are absolutely next level.
Duuude that looked super close, he basically got through it!
now that was an insanely close try! so cool to be part of this
loving the live streams!
So cool to see you get through the big throws in the crux. One tiny foot slip... You are so close!
Incredible. I was screaming "Vamos" to the TV like crazy. Vaya titán
yes, we want to watch everything live please, thank you!
❤❤❤
This has got to be where top level climbing is headed. Live stream FA and sends. Amazing feature
Such a cool concept, really loved watching it. Watching the multiple attempts really give us a true view of how spectacular and difficult the route is. We're rooting for you!
This is absolutely amazing!!! I love these!!
These live attempts are so epic. Im gonna watch every one until you send.
...then the route is over, it´s 8a to the top :-). crazy.
Ahahah an 8a after a super pumpy 9... easy 😅
I wish we all couldn't fall off an 8a 😂
Man... next attempt may be the one!!! So rad!
Absolutely loving this content!!
Genius idea!!
woow, excellent try. Come on Jakob, you've got this!
Wow, so exciting to be able to follow this mad fight, I look forward to the next attempt, you will make it Jakob!
Live stream as much as you can. LOVE IT! Great attempt! Congrats!
What an amazing go! That upper part looks brutal when you’re tired (going back to the old videos every time you guys said “you can’t fall after this part” I got so nervous…)
This was awesome again! Super strong! Now some good rest and we all keep fingers crossed for prime conditions for Sunday / Monday and it will go!
This was great!!!!! Great idea, wonderful attempt!!!
Thanks for streaming this - it's electric to watch, somehow very involving, very different from the edited videos after the fact. I hope it doesn't intrude too much on the experience for you as a climber.
What a beast. Thanks for sharing man.💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
haha, jakob you are a beast!
he says "i was so pumped, i could not move" just to say afterwards "form there it is 8a to the top" if it was nothing
One more try and you will send it!!!
You 're making history!!!
Wow you were almost accomplishing it. After two rest days I am sure you will do it. I really enjoy your climbing monster.
It was wonderful effort Jacob 😊
Thanks for the video! Please do not put any spoilers in the title for those who cannot watch it live :)
You got this Jacob!!! Keep the live streaming

Un.fucking.fassbar. danke für die Möglichkeit das mitzuerleben!
Wer braucht schon Olympia?
Maybe not optimal climbing weather, but it looks gorgeous.
Excellent tu y et tu la lâches pas cette prise après sa a l'air bien galère aussi mais bravo ❤

Holy shit sooo close
4th attempt you will have it!!!
Come on, Jakob! You will do it next time!
Wooow so good though! I wonder if it was the fact that he got it and that “holy shit i got it!” thoughts start going on and lost that little bit of concentration.
He also sounds WORKED after he came down though…so i guess it could just be hard too. 😅
Wish u the best - u are a fucking beast!!! Best lead climber!!! Des geht si scho aus!!!
The chalkbag mic is my favorite
Damn, the crux is hard. Jakob, since this is a looong hard route and you chalk up frequently how about putting a load of chalk on your knee pad to avoid losing time with fumbling into the chalk bag? (or is their a mini chalk bag that can be strapped to your leg). Anyways, you will do it! You will!
Cool!
BIG is a beast. Definitely seems harder than anyone initially thought.
So close!
The best in the world
so close//// Keep the live streaming, please
Come on Jakob !
Almost fell from my chair....
where do they put the microphone?
Looked like a footslip. Tomorrow.
Damn its 10a?
Can someone educate me on the reasoning behind using two ropes and then dropping the first one? Is it to minimize drag?
Yes
Yay another 9c for me
Why are you pulling two ropes Jacob?
It's a long route. It's probably to reduce rope drag. Or it might be because one rope might not be long enough if it goes through all the draws.
But I'm wondering, what knot is he using that he can untie that easily with one hand mid-route?
@@CJskimaybe a clove hitch? it's save and easy to untie without loading it prior
@@Lumi_nance maybe. But I didn’t see a carabiner. Maybe a bowline.
@@CJski I mean, you can tie it to the harness directly for a single attempt, at least I assume
I know they are good friend and this was probably their plan, but I thought this was Adam's project? Don't climbers usually avoid completing someone else's project before they do?
2 ropes why?
It's a long route. It's probably to reduce rope drag. Or it might be because one rope might not be long enough if it goes through all the draws.
Love the live stream but kill the drone. Must be terrible for everyone at the crag and surrounding area.
your chalkbag sounds empty😂…so close anyway
Nice geek with a helmet on the super overhanging 8a, Flaggermusmannen to the rigth 😂
Work that step you fell off because it didn’t look technically correct. When jacob says it’s 7a step I suppose he means it’s a very easy step ;) img
So Jakob seriously considers a route he obviously is about to send within the third or fourth visit, in the second season, be potentially 9C? No frickin way...
What the hell do you know? Adam Ondra really tried it, Seb Bouin really tried it, Jacob has worked it for a while already
Resume
Seb tried it for a week. I agree with the op.
Since Jakob graded 9b+ to the point he came, there will be no doubt that the whole thing will check in at least 9b+/c!
